Do you recomend the Peanut shell?

Harm is outgrowing his Bjorn and I need a new carrier.  I have advanced RA so it has to be a good one.

  • You're still carrying the little man?  At the risk of sounding like a horrible mom, I've never been into the carriers.  You're a trooper francisca!

  • As a working mom with limited childcare a girl has to do what a girl has to do.  A lot of my vendors have stroller unfriendly offices and so I have to carry him in to like: the sign shop, the plumbing supply store, the flag shop, etc. He is a decent walker but sometimes it is too dangerous to put him on the ground b/c he starts grabbing everything so baby wearing is my only real option.  I can't wait till he really "gets" the word NO!

  • What about an Ergo? It's supposed to be good for the back and he can go on front or rear...
  • I have a peanut shell and an ergo carrier.  I like the peanut shell but I don't find it to be comfy for a very long period of time.  I usually use it when I need one arm free for a short while.  It puts a lot of weight on one shoulder.  I think the ergo is much more comfortable if you'll be wearing it for an extended period of time.  I've gone on long walks with DD in the ergo it distributes her weight well.
