PLEASE recommend book on toddler discipline

I am really needing a book on toddler discipline.  I have a 2 1/2 daughter who is really beginning to get difficult and doesn't listen.  She insists on having everything her way and throws a tantrum when she doesn't get her way.  We use time-outs though it doesn't seem to work because she won't stay in time out.  Anyways, if anyone has any book recommendations it would be very much appreciated.

I don't know about a book, but everyone told me to ignore tantrums, I did and they only lasted about 2 weeks. As far as time outs go, I would pick him up and put him back in timeout until he would stay there. GL and HTH

Definitely dealing with much of the same at our house!  I don't have any book reco's for you though, just what's working for us.

We've found that positive reinforcement and ignoring bad behavior works best with her.  We also try to be very consistent in any punishment/rewards.  She gets one warning to change a negative behavior and then we enforce the consequence - movie gets turned off, time out, book taken away, etc.
