My LO barely can get past 2 hours for her 1st wake window of the day. She’s had this first wale window at 2 hours ever since she was 4 months old. It just won’t extend. I’ve tried. The rest of her wake windows are 3 - 3 1/2 during the day and almost 4 for her last wake window.
She’s really only able to sleep 11 hours at night and if she has more than 3.5 hours of nap time total she has trouble sleeping at night. She wakes around 630am and her ideal bedtime is between 730-830. If she has a bedtime later than 830 she does an early wake before 6am and if she goes to bed earlier than 7 the same thing happens.
The problem is that her wake windows are too long for a 3 nap day to make bedtime and then only gets maybe 11 hrs total sleep including naps and night sleep. But her wake windows (specifically her first) are too short for a 2 nap day making her bedtime between 6-630pm. It’s too difficult to extend her wake periods and if I extend her naps then she gets too much day sleep and it affects her night sleep to where she wakes in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep. She sleeps through the night without waking due to hunger.
What are we doing that makes her first wake window incredibly short? I feel like it should be at least 2 1:2 hours and we can barely make it to 2 hours for the past 3 months!
