I don't own one but I do the same thing you do when I see the commercial. I think, "Wow, this guy is really selling this thing to me! Maybe I need one...wait, no I don't!!!"
The ShamWow guy is like the new Billy Mays, except he doesn't yell at me.
I saw some at Target in the "As seen on TV" endcap...
Me too. I was so tempted to buy them. I'm trying to be more environmentally friendly, so these seem like a great alternative to paper towels. But, I feel like there has to be a catch, so I keep resisting.

Also, watch the commercial very carefully, when he pours soda into the little piece of carpet and says "Look folks, we're going to do this in real time". When he pours it, soda goes into the carpet and then starts leaking out the sides, then they do a shot of something else, and when it cuts back to him there's no soda outside of the little square of carpet.
My DH brings up shamwow probably once a week lol. I think he believes shamwow could end world hunger. ) If he could find one, I'm sure he'd get it-but we live in a dinky small town currently so if they're not at Wal-Mart, we're out of luck!

I do!! I actually really like them. The only thing is that they are like a chamois and actually need to be damp to really absorb the liquid. I've used them in the kitchen and I've seen the whole soda thing up close. It does work pretty well. I got 8 for $22 which is around $2.75 a piece. There was a booth at my mall...
Has anyone seen him in the "SlapChop" infomercial? It's even crazier than the ShamWow one. And he wears the headset the whole time. I am fascinated by this guy.

Real time my ass.
Thanks for mentioning this! DH noticed the same thing. That alone would make me not want to buy it. If they're lying about that, what else are they lying about? I've heard they don't work well.
I got them for Christmas. So far I'm not impressed, but I'm convinced that I just haven't found the perfect use for them yet. I do think they're great for drying my hands after doing the dishes, though.

I have 1 question for that guy. What's w/ the head piece?
Also "you getting this camera guy?" When he says that I would love to see the camera guy punch him.
Ah, ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!! The head piece! Seriously? WTF?

Not sure if this will work, but a friend sent this to me from Facebook the other day. I thought it was amusing: (warning: F words)

When I showed my friend my pocket diapers she asked if I put a ShamWow in it. It sounds like good idea. Ha ha!
