Are you supposed to use them for newborns? I can't seem to get her in there without her little head smushing down onto her chest. Seems like she can't breathe! Am I putting her in wrong, or does she just need to be a little bigger?
We used ours from about 5 days old. Which hold are you trying? I liked the cradle hold when DS was small- it is similar to the way a sling would fit: https://www.peppermint.com/moby-cradle-hold.html If you are trying the upright position, you can use the fabric to support her neck. Obviously, you want to make sure she can breath, but it is okay if she is a little "smushed"- that is the way that she has been for the last 9 months! It might be helpful to post this on the eco-friendly board, I know a lot of mamas over there use the moby. It does take some getting used to, but it was my favorite!
You should be able to use the cradle hold with a newborn. I didn't get my Moby til Ben was maybe a month or two old. I LOVED IT. But as a newborn, defintiely try it with the cradle hold - more like a sling.
