Re: what stroller are you going with???

  • i've gone back and forth about which stroller to get literally for months. we finally decided on the bugaboo frog.  but i had a ton on my list, i.e. :

    uppababy vista

    zooper waltz

    inglesina zippy

    plain ol' snap-n-go

    bugaboo bee

    bumbleride flyer

  • I think I'm going to go with a snap n go (grace version) and use it with the infant seat (Grace snugride) for the first 5-6 months and then move onto either the Chicco Cortina or the Graco Metrolite. I would have gotten the travel system, but since I'm due in June, I feel like I'll be out and about often and wanted a lighter weight stroller while the baby is in the infant seat since that seat is heavy w/o a baby in it!
  • I have the Kolocraft 4 wheeler from Target.

I was registered for the Britax Vigour, but they never had it in stock so I had to get something else. When I found this one, I was surprised to find out it does everything the Vigour does, including rear facing seat and same frame structure. Best part: half the price.
The storage bin on the bottom is also 3x bigger.

  • We received the Peg Perego Skate.  We love it.  It's a little heavy but our DS is so comfortable in it.  And now it's on sale for cheaper than what it was when we got ours.  Oh and I just bought a tray for it that they came out with.
  • I also wanted the Britax Vigour but think I'm leaning towards the Kolcraft.  I'm now debating between the 4 wheeler and the 3 wheeler.  What made you go for the 4 wheel?  Do you know the main differences between the 2?  I have to buy it online b/c I cant find either in a store to try out!  Thanks!
  • Word of advice with the Kolcraft... I have the 4 wheel version now.  Have used it for about a year.  The infant seat attachment isn't great, I found that it wasn't nearly as stable as I needed it to be (we used a Snap N Go first).

That being said, once you get over how large it is (takes up a considerable amount of space in cargo space of my SUV), it ROCKS.  I loved being able to flip DD around and haul around quite a load on the bottom.  But its mammoth and sometimes tricky to fold (but I store groceries on top of it in the car).

  • I can understand what starr is saying about the stability of the car seat attachment. I was kind of surprised when I realized that a little red belt is all that is holding it in place...however the wide base of the stroller makes up for the stability of the whole unit if that makes sense.
I also think it is very easy to fold but DH has a hard time with it because he doesn't use it as often as me.

I wanted to get the 3 wheeler because I walk for exercise every day. But DH thought that the 4 wheeler would be better all around. So he won.
I have seen other people with the 3 wheeler and I like it a lot.  I am totally happy with the 4 wheeler. It maneuvers great in tight spots. HTH...
  • eddie bauer stroller from target
  • Maclaren Techno

That's what we used with DD.  The Bigaboos and Quinnys are just too big and cumbersome for all the travel that we do and the Maclaren held up so well.

  • We got the Britax Vigour and we absolutely LOVE it. We used it everyday when my son was born because we would walk each day along bumpy roads and sidewalk. Also, it was so convenient with our Britax Infant Companion.

However when my son outgrew the Infant Carrier, we stopped using the Vigour for errands/mall/grocery store, etc. because the seat is pretty big. We ended up getting the Maclaren Quest for our trunk, but we still use our Vigour every day for walks!

It was one of the best purchases we ever made!

     I hope that makes sense!
