I am a new momma (really new) and am feeling a tad overwhelmed by everything so I thought I would stop lurking and join the bump. We just had our baby last week and things sure have changed! I am home alone with the baby and feeling very much like I have no idea what I'm doing. I am in love with my baby, but I'm wondering what I've gotten myself into...please tell me this gets easier!
Re: New Seattle Momma--Introduction
This is so very normal, so don't feel badly. It can be very overwhelming at first. Make sure that you are willing and accepting of help from friends and family and taking care of yourself. If you don't take any time to "recharge" you will get even more overwhelmed. Also, make sure you sleep when baby sleeps especially now in the early weeks etc. Everything other than baby can be put off (i.e. housework etc.) Right now, just worry about you and getting to know your new little one. The rest will eventually fall into place.
Hang in there ;0) This is a good place for venting and finding some comfort, asking questions etc.
Welcome! Glad you joined us!! It's much better to be involved then to lurk! Congrats on your new baby!
I'm now three months into the mom thing and it DOES get easier. DD is a lot more predictable and also a lot more fun. I felt the same as you for about the first month then one day it just "clicked". Its lots of fun once DC starts to talk, smile and laugh.

Well...I'm still pregnant, but I have to guess that I will feel much the same way.
PPers have said much of what I would - so I'll just chime in with WELCOME!!! We're glad you're here.
