We got for my new born the bassinet halo swivel, it is set it in our room and she sleeps pretty good through the night in there.
I got as gift the Harmony play and go playard which I have set up in the living room for my baby to sleep during the day, is practical as has the changing table and storage for diaper change needs

Safety was my top priority. I looked for a crib with strong rails and no gaps that could trap little arms or legs. I also made sure it met all safety standards.

we went with the newton bassinet, which is pretty much the same size as a mini crib so we used it till about 6 months or so. What sold me was how sturdy and safe it felt, plus the fact that the whole thing is washable and breathable made a big difference for me.
