November 2025 Babies

Is no morning sickness okay?

Hi mamas!
This is the first time I’ve been pregnant so I'm
not sure what’s normal or not yet! I’m due in November, unsure of the date until I get my dating ultrasound later this month! I’m 7 weeks and feeling extremely bloated and cramped up, also constipated.. but no morning sickness? Is that okay or normal to not feel that yet, is it too early? I’m reading a pregnancy book and it says that if you have morning sickness you are less likely to have a miscarriage so I think I’ve just been overthinking. Open to discussion and hearing what others experiences are so far!

Re: Is no morning sickness okay?

  • My doctor said that was normal! I had started with it for a week and then it faded so I was freaking out but everyone is different and some people just don't have it at all

  • I only had a tiny bit of nausea, maybe for 2 days in week 6 or 7. I had a ton of bloating, slight cramping often and was very constipated instead 🙈 I’m 9w6d today and those things have started to resolve themselves. I had a great first ultrasound with everything looking good and a strong heartbeat. My SIL had a healthy pregnancy with zero nausea a few years ago, I wouldn’t worry! It’s so easy to overthink and I’m also doing just that, especially in this first trimester!

I am 9 weeks 4 days and I have had no morning sickness. Sometimes I gag while brushing my teeth but that's it. My dr said it's fine no increased risk of miscarriage. Some people just don't have it. My sister had twins last year, no nausea at all for her either and no complications.
  • Dang I also gag and almost vomit every time I brush my teeth! I have to mentally prepare myself when I am about to brush my teeth now haha
