Trying to Get Pregnant

Help !! I’ve no idea what’s going on

So, I started trying to track ovulation this month using Premom app but also I used the clear blue digital .

My pre mom app keeps saying all of my tests are LOW but the clear blue gave me a solid smiley yesterday CD15. I’m not sure why they would be different ? We BD on cd 13&14 but if We didn’t ovulate on the 15th then we may need to BD again 🥴. Which is hard with his work schedule right now .

Would you go off of the clear blue or keep testing with Premom?

  • Looks like that last OPK is almost positive but not quite. I bet you get a positive by tomorrow. Good luck.

Sometimes I never get above a "low" reading with premom but the peak has always been accurate for me. I usually ovulate within 12-24 hrs according to blood tests / BBT.  I think most people are a little slower to ovulate after an LH peak. Might be different for other people, but if I had your tests I would assume day 15 was my peak and day 16 would be ovulation day. You can manually set a peak in the premom app if it doesn't mark it for you too.

You'll also probably get better results if you try to track around the same time each day. Afternoon is best for LH.
  • @ferret22 what if you went from a 0.31 to a 1.48 the following day. Both were taken in the morning. Would you assume ovulation was happening the day of the 1.48? I can’t take OPKs after my SMU. The amount of water I need to drink each day to stay hydrated dilutes everything in the afternoon. I end up needing to do a 4 hour hold after dinner and testing at 11pm. I’m thinking about timing. We BD last night which is when I’m assuming I would have seen a positive and then woke up to the 1.48 this morning. Last cycle I did the 4 hour evening hold and caught my peak as it was happening and then the next morning saw one similar to the one I got this morning. Thoughts?

Yeah if I got that high I'd probably assume ovulation in the next day. Ovulation for most people happens 24-36hr after LH peak. My cycle is faster, which I found out while going through fertility treatments so I'm more like 12-24hr. You keep testing LH until you the number drops again, and that shows where your peak was. You're probably ovulating the day it drops. I don't think the dilution matters much as long as you're consistent with these quantitative tests. You'll still see a peak even with lower / diluted numbers.
  • @ferret22 I tested a with SMU yesterday and got 1.26 and this morning got 0.57. Based off of that do you think I likely ovulated yesterday. My temp started rising today but didn’t get high enough for day 1 of my shift. This is going to be the day that my CM changes drastically but doesn’t dry completely up. I haven’t assessed that yet. I usually wait until midmorning to start. I can post my chart in the main thread if you want to see it.

Haha I just was about to respond to you in the other thread @emeraldcity603 . I feel like I only ever have time to look at one thread at a time and it's getting confusing lol. Most people ovulate 24-36 hr after LH peak, and the peaks are usually highest in the afternoons. So if you saw a peak two days ago, then yeah you probably ovulate somewhere between yesterday and early today. If your CM dries up fast, maybe you have a short ovulation window. I found out with blood draws / monitoring ultrasounds during fertility treatments that I ovulate more like 12 hours after my LH peak. So I have to BD pretty much right after I think I have a peak. But normally you could do it the next day when you see the number go back down and you'd still be on ovulation day. But of course, best to ask your doctor about your specific situation since everyone is different. 🤷
