1st Trimester

Sickness only just started worried because I’m 9 weeks

I’m 9 weeks and pregnant with twins. I have an SCH which is a huge source of worry for me. I have had 3 bleeds and passed two large clots as well as smaller ones. I’ve been brown bleeding for 8 days now with the red bleeding being in between that

Yesterday I woke up and felt so sick and was feeling sick all day. The same again this morning. I’m feeling so poorly. I haven’t had more than mild nausea for a little until now. I’m worried something could be wrong as I was told 8 weeks is the peak and improvement starts at 9 weeks but mine has got worse at 9 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this?

  • It’s easier said than done, I know, but try not to worry!! Everyone is so different, and some women experience no nausea at all (lucky ducks!)

I had a SCH with baby#1 and ended up with a healthy little boy! Is your OB rechecking your SCH with a follow up ultrasound?

  • Unfortunately not until 30th said there is no point until then. I have lost two clots since my last scan. Said we need to leave two weeks between each scan.
all I know is it’s at the top of my Uterus and as large as one of the babies sacks.
  • With my first pregnancy I had nausea and vomiting from weeks 6-12 with a peak around week 9 and improvement from there. This pregnancy I had virtually no nausea until I went off IVF meds at 10 weeks and then it ramped up unexpectedly, improving around 12 weeks and disappearing by 14 weeks altogether.

All this is to say that every body is different and even each pregnancy can be different! I wouldn’t consider the onset of nausea to be terribly concerning but your doctor can tell you more and approve OTC meds or prescription meds if needed to help with the symptoms.

    Congrats and good luck!!
