Are there really a million Henrys? (Henries?)

Hi! We are having a boy in August. We named our daughter like a minute before they kicked us out of the hospital so ideally I’d like to have it decided a little earlier this time. We went over a bunch of names before recently finding we both liked Henry. The issue is that I saw it’s on the top ten SSA list for boys, and I don’t want to give him a super common name. I don’t know anyone who named their son Henry but I’m just one person.

So I wanted to ask - does anyone here know a TON of kids named Henry? We’re in NJ if it makes a difference. Thanks!

I worked in a school for 5 years and only had 1 Henry in the school in those 5 years.

Been living for a long time lol. but I encountered that name just on few occasions. So no. It's not that common.

There are a lot more now than when I was young. It is definitelt trending up. I've met soo many. We have a Hank and everyone always asks if it is short for Henry. Or they'll say we have a Henry and we call him Hank because he has 2 Henry's in his class, something to that affect. I didn't think it was top 10 but would not be surprised it's a great name.

I named my daughter the number 8 name for her birth year, and I've only met 2 other girls her age with the name so far.

I don't know any Henry's. I'm not sure I've met a Henry in person. It might be different in the UK or somewhere but def not in the southern US or anywhere I've been.
