Hey ladies this may be unconventional for a male to be on here asking questions but i am absolutely terrified and need some first hand experience not “DR Google” so my wife is 8 weeks 5 days today we had our second ultrasound yesterday and the baby had a heart rate of 171BPM and was growing very healthy. However yesterday my wifes symptoms vanished. No more nausea, no more vomiting, just back pain, cramps, migraines. Im terrified did this happen to any other women on here around 8-9 weeks? When should i be truly concerned because she isnt the anxious one between the both of us and she wont grow concerned until the obvious is shown. Im probably overthinking but to hear it from other women that this is very normal and to not worry would helo greatly.
Also she had slight brown discharge. No red or pink.
Sex has been slightly painful for her so we have stopped until she is comfortable.
She is 20 years old and very healthy.
Re: PLEASE HELP Wifes pregnancy symptoms
The day after the ultrasound I started bleeding and even passed a dime-sized clot or tissue, not sure which one. I called my OBGYN, who explained that the trauma from the transvaginal ultrasound can cause minor bleeding/spotting because the cervix is also affected by the increase in hormones. He wasn't concerned unless I was filling up a pad with blood. It could be that her cervix is very sensitive at the moment, and intercourse, and if she had a transvaginal ultrasound, has caused her spotting.
This is just my experience; however, and I 100% recommend her calling her Dr. and seeing what they say.
Pregnancy is wild, and it's easy to get anxious when things don't seem to be going "the way they should", but the truth is pregnancy is different on every woman, and even from one pregnancy to the next with the same woman. Just keep being supportive, keep yourself informed, and kindly voice any concerns to your partner. This is your baby, too and if you are worried you should let her know in a way that doesn't invoke fear or panic, but lets her know you are in this together and you want the best outcome. Best wishes to you guys on this crazy journey!
