Wild that it’s December! Not too long from now we are going to see ultra-pasturized milk that expires after our due dates lol.
I just got a kindle for my birthday - anyone got any good book suggestions? I figured it would be good to have a list of books for all the nighttime feedings.
This is truly random - today the Facebook main feed algorithm showed me a page for people who own chickens (not sure why really? I don’t own any?) but the person posted a picture of something that legitimately looked like a potato on the outside and an onion on the inside and said she found it in her nesting box. Turns out it’s something called a lash egg. Learn something new everyday I guess lol.
We've been soooo busy getting ready for our local holiday craft fair (MH and I make candles and I sew kids clothes). It's tomorrow and I'm excited, but also super tired 😴

@hedgepig I hope your craft fair goes well! I really enjoy crafting too (sewing, knitting and crochet) but I don’t have it in me to make any money from it.
Have you made anything for yours? I recently finished a crochet blanket. I had made an outfit for my second kid who was due in October but we had a freak heatwave so it was too hot to use it then (99 degrees when we left the hospital!) so I’ll let this baby use it since February should be pretty safe lol.
The lighting was bad so the colors are a little off. The blanket yarns are earthy tones but not quite as dark as they seem. The outfit is also more blue than purple.
Has anyone experienced muscle weakness while doing physical activity? Just in the last couple of days I’ve started getting very breathless and lose all strength in my legs while cycling. This is a new development from my heart palpitations, so I might call my doctor, even though I have an appointment in a week.
How long does the feeling of losing your strength last? Do you mean you just feel fatigued and have to stop sooner than usually or do your muscles feel like they aren’t working properly?
@cioccolata16 what @ceclarlinetlo said. I've had some serious muscle fatigue in this pregnancy when doing mostly normal things, but its been post covid and seems to be improving. It feels like pure exhaustion, not so much a loss in function.
I would say pure exhaustion, but it seems to come in waves (I can rest for a couple of minutes and then start up again, but even the tiniest hill sends me back). I have low iron, and thinking that perhaps this is the lag before the supplements start to have measurable impacts. Hopefully that’s all it is!
@ceclarlinetlo I love that blanket and outfit! Sooo cute 😍 I'm no good at yarn-arts, so I'm way jealous of your skills! Yes, I started by making my kids clothes, but then expanded into selling so I could earn money to buy more fabric 😅 I will post some pics when the internet is cooperating more 😊

It's been a chaotic lead into to December. DS broke his tibia in November and got the cast off a week ago. He's still limping around quite a bit which the doctor said could last 2+ weeks and in the meantime my husband's back has gone out so guess who's been hauling him at 24 weeks pregnant...
Also - still undecided on a sprinkle (mom offered to do one) that would include a registry but leaning towards doing it with a small group, brunch at my mom's, and maybe the decorating of something that would include sprinkles for a group of like 10 or less.
Part of my job is needing to know 90 days in advance of certain dates. 90 days from today, 12/5 will be March 4, 2024. So some of you March moms may have your babies in 90 days! Even less for the February moms!
What’s everyone making of the random people who are either not pregnant yet or are currently 1st trimester posting in our BMB? Language seems to be too sensical to be a bot posting.
I think looked at some of their post history and I'm thinking they are just new and not understanding how TB works and they are just posting in whatever suggested threads show up on the main page not realizing they are part of other groups. But it has been weird with the drive by posts.
The high school I work at is having a big covid outbreak with at least 1/3 (maybe closer to half?) of students and staff out. And then MH got food poisoning (I think maybe salmonella?) and I am so desperate not to get it, or for the kids to get it. He's been sooooo miserable.
In the meantime I am doing my 1 hour glucose screen and really hoping it goes well. With both of my other kids I failed the 1 hour and passed the 3 hour, but I haaattteee the 3 hour, so 🤞 today goes OK. But I know the risk of GD is way up with twins, so I'm nervous....

@hedgepig keeping my fingers crossed you and your kiddos don’t catch whatever your husband has or Covid from school! And I hope your glucose test goes well🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
@hedgepig 🤞 you stay healthy and pass the one hour! One of my classes had 1/3 of the kids out the week after Thanksgiving. The sickness level is wild this year!
Omg baby is having the most active day he's had yet. Is it bad that it's making me nervous that he's *too* active? Glad I have my 32 week appointment today
@SpartanCat I’ve also noticed activity pick up this week (32). Maybe it’s just space becoming limited and therefore feeling every movement a bit more. I’ve looked for studies on overactivity, but there doesn’t seem to be much, if any, solid evidence that it’s a sign of anything
I think he had the hiccups at one point which was really funny.
@cioccolata16 I'm afraid to Google it so I'm glad you already did haha. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is feeling more movement but it's just so abruptly more than made me nervous
It's anyone thinking about getting a tubal with their C-section? I'm like 95% sold on it. It'll be nice not to have to worry about birth control anymore
@SpartanCat I am considering it if I ha e to get a c-section, but if I don't then DH is getting a vasectomy.
--- Shout out to belly support braces. My pelvic/hip/back pain was really starting to get to me and I started wearing mine daily and it is helping soooo much. The MommaStrong SPD and Low Back fix me workouts are also really helping 🙌
