C section delivery & pain management

The protocols have changed for my hospital so they only give out NSAIDs during and after a C-section. I’m just making sure this is going to be adequate for treating my pain. I’ve already had a c section with a prior pregnancy and couldn’t imagine doing it with just NSAID’s and a TAP block. Any advice?

Make sure you get on a regular rotation of Tylenol and ibuprofen. (One is every four hours one is every six.) And ask them to just mark in your chart that you want them on a schedule so you don't be have to remember to ask. I've done two c sections with just those bc I hate how pain meds make me feel. Also drink tons of water and get up and moving as soon as they will let you. This helps your muscles to not stiffen as badly. It's totally doable! Make sure when you get home you keep up the med rotation for several more days before getting off of it. If you forget you will definitely know...
