Pea-kay and other choo choo wagon owners

Can I ask what you paid for the wagon and the third seat? There is someone listing it for 850 on ebay and I cant imagine it cost that much

TIA

Re: Pea-kay and other choo choo wagon owners

  • Yeah, I have been wondering how much these things cost if you bought them from a store.  It is crazy that people are really trying to rip people off, because they aren't made anymore.

  • $150!!!

    those people are ass.holes.

  • LMAO!!! Yeah Ass.holes was what I was thinking....but wanted to know approx what you paid so I knew how big of Ass.holes they were =)
  • $850!!!  Holy Moly.  We paid $150 I think for the 3 cars and the trailer.

I know you may not want to wait but I believe that Step 2 stops production from time to time with the Choo Choo but will start making them again.  I'm almost positive that when my girls were born, they weren't making them and then they started again, which is why we purchased ours when we did.

  • Yeah, the base model with the two seats is around 100 and the extra trailer is 50 retail.

Have you tried calling around to local shops that sell Step2 in your area?  We found a place here about a month ago and they still had 5 or 6 "base" sets and several extra trailers (I was on the hunt for the trailer . . . my ILs bought the main wagon for B&K's birthday).  Might be a better deal than ebay! :)

Do you know what places sell/sold them?
  • I actually got the tip for my local place from a good friend who found the wagon for her triplet girls.  But if you go to www.step2.com they have a store locator link . . . you have to choose a product (and the choo-choo wagon isn't out there anymore, of course), but if you select anything it should bring up a list of places in your area that carry Step2 stuff.  There is a symbol next to some that carry the entire Step 2 line -- I'd start with those places.  When I called the location in Columbus the guy told me they just received a shipment of 5 or 6 wagons earlier that week (this was about a month ago).  So they aren't technically making them anymore, but somehow they are still shipping them to retailers!  Good luck!!
  • it is 150.00 for all three pieces. Go on step2 website and find the retailer near you and call and ask if they have one in stock..When I bought ours they had it in stock..

I got mine for 100 on craigslist- in great condition!

  • mine was 100.00 new they sold for 130.00 DO NOT PAY THAT Much for it, are they great to have yes, but that is robbery
  • I just called my local store that carries the full line, they too said they will get a shipment in soon!

Hmmm... Maybe we should take advantage of this buy retail sell Ebay Choo Choo train bandwagon... LOL  We could sell them for $300, make a 100% profit and STILL come out smelling like roses compared to the other ass.holes.  LOL!
