Subchorionic Hematoma?

Has anyone had a SCH with previous pregnancies (or current)? If so, what were your symptoms?

Re: Subchorionic Hematoma?

  • I had one this pregnancy. The only reason I found out about it is because I had some scary bleeding between 7 and 8 weeks. I went for an ultrasound to check on the babies and they said it was an SCH which looked small by then. I had a little more bleeding a week later, which was probably the last of the SCH being passed. It was definitely scary, but my RE was not worried about it at all.

  • I’m waiting to hear back from my OB. But lastnight I had some light pink when wiping & then brown blood after waking up this morning. I’m not having any cramping, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s nothing bad & thats I hear back soon
  • I know that spotting can be normal, but it’s scary to see that. I hope your doc gets back to you soon and all is well.
  • I had spotting early in this pregnancy. I didn’t have an SCH but it seemed I hate some irritation in my cervix. I had a few ultrasounds and everything’s looks great. Spotting is so scary but sometimes it can be normal. I hope you hear back from your OB soon!
  • A subchorionic hematoma occurs when the chorion membrane detaches from the wall of the uterus. The chorion membrane is the outermost layer of the amniotic sac.
