Re: Introductions

  • Hi everyone! I’m 36 and this baby will be my 3rd, but with a big gap (we have 7 and 10 year old boys!). This was a bit of a surprise and not really planned so we are sort of in shock. I had what I thought was a light period in mid- August so we were surprised and confused when the 4 tests I took on Monday had extremely dark lines 😳 My OB thinks it was probably not actually a period this month and is calling my July period my starting point so that puts me at April 19th for a due date.  My husband and I are still processing and adjusting to the idea of starting over, but seeing so many of you in similar boats is extremely comforting!!

I have my first OB appt on the 11th but am getting blood work this week to get a better sense of timing. Excited to be here!!

  • Hi everyone, my name is Rebecca and I’m about to turn 39. My husband and I have been TTC for 2.5 years. I’ve done about 5 rounds of IVF (including 2 rounds of egg freezing before I met my husband) so this feels pretty surreal. My due date is April 17th. I’ve had one chemical pregnancy/possible ectopic but it was clear something was wrong from the beginning so this is the farthest I’ve gotten. I’m doing weekly monitoring at the fertility clinic for the next few weeks and then on to an OB. Sometimes I feel really excited and sometimes really scared and anxious. I’ve never really used a community forum like this but thought community sounded nice right now! Looking forward to getting to know you and sending good healthy vibes to all!

  • Hi everyone! It’s been so nice reading everyone’s stories. I’m 33 and this is my first pregnancy due ~April 24. First ultrasound is 9/14 at 8wks and I am counting the days and trying to stay distracted.

We were going to start trying this fall so I took my IUD out last spring to get to know my cycle again. We were NTNP and found out about this surprise gift on our anniversary!

I’m finding this early 6 week period to be really nerve wracking. So much empathy for people - I had no idea how tentative it can feel and how much you crave assurance that it’s progressing well.

For symptoms I’ve mostly had waves of fatigue and Im sound asleep by 830/9 most nights. At week 5 I definitely had cramping likely from the implantation. No nausea yet.

    Excited to find this community!
  • Hello All,

I’m joining this board a little late.

My name is Allie. I’m 31, and 9 week currently. My husband and I found out early August. He was giddy which was adorable to see. This is my second pregnancy but no children yet. I guess I’ve been cautions to get excited until we had our first 8 week appointment and viability scan. Hearing the heartbeat was a big sigh of relief. Morning sickness hit around week 5 but I’m choosing to lean into joy in the “puke and rally” phase and knowing the hormones are strong is a good sign. Snacking constantly helps. Excited to be on this journey with you all!

    Hi All!
My name is Jessica and this is my first post and first pregnancy. My husband and I conceived a month after getting married and I’m now 8 weeks (due mid April). I had one ultrasound at 6 weeks and am definitely experiencing all the symptoms (nausea kicked in hardest these past two weeks). But I’m also quite anxious about miscarriage. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing that fear but it’s just scary to not know what’s going on in there. Hoping for the best, for my raspberry and everyone else here!
  • Congrats Momma! I was 25 with my first, now pregnant with my 3rd in my 30s :) It will be ok, make sure to do what you feel is best. Maternal instincts are real 😁
  • Hi! Kaity here.
I’m due April 26 (but will probably have a C-section the week prior so we will see. I personally like the 16th for a date haha)

this is my fourth pregnancy. I have two children. 7.5 and 4.5 (he was an April 19 due date but a May 3 delivery). My miscarriage was last October. At 6~ weeks.

I’m 8 weeks today. I already had 3 beta htc tests and an ultrasound 10 days ago to check that this baby was viable. So far so good. My intake with my OB is next Thursday and I’m looking forward to it.

I’m 35 and will be 36 at delivery. I think that makes me geriatric? I lived in CA for my two previous pregnancies and so everything is new here in MN.

I’m trying to be calm and not worry but I’m worried.

I know I have to have a c-section because my last baby was too big and had a long shoulder distocia that was dangerous and low low low APGAR and resus. So there is not an option for me. I’m ok with it. Feels like the recovery will probably be more reasonable than my last one was. Anyway.

I’m a homeschooling mom. I was a teacher~ ish. My husband works from home and my parents live in my half basement level of my house. We have a corgi.

  • Hi all! I’m joining a little late, but my name is Ashley, I’m 37, a principal, and 9wks2days pregnant with my first child ❤️ I truly believe I'm still in shock. I have been trying for a baby since my early 20s, went through failed ivf rounds, tried naturally and nothing until now. We conceived naturally and baby is doing well. I had an ultrasound at 7wks5days and will have another ultrasound on 9/26 at 10wks2days. Baby’s heartbeat was strong on the first ultrasound and it was truly the best feeling in the world. We are due April 21, 2024.

My only pregnancy symptoms so far are sore breasts and fatigue. My sense of smell seems to be stronger as well. Due my history of pulmonary embolisms, my current OB is doing a full transfer of care to a high risk OB doctor. They’re not concerned about the baby, they’re concerned about me developing more clots, when I still have some present in both lungs.

I’m trying my very best not to stress, but anxiety is definitely getting the best of me, lol. There has been so much pregnancy loss around me, I'm constantly worrying that I’m next. So any little change in my body sends me into a small state of panic. Some days I feel pregnancy symptoms and other days I don’t. I’m sure that’s normal, but man does it get my mind racing.

Aside from that, my husband has been incredibly supportive and helpful, my family is ecstatic and we can’t wait for April to get here, lol!
  • Hi! I cant remember if I already posted here but HI! This is my first pregnancy! So far it has been an interesting adventure and my husband seems to be more excited than I am :D haha- Seeing my first positive pregnancy test come through definitely felt surreal and I sometimes still cannot believe it! My due date is 4/21 so a beautiful spring time baby! If they are a bit early and it is a longer winter they will be in time for the end of beautiful Cherry Blossom season here in northern VA  :)
  • Joining late, but thought I'd say hi anyway.
I'm Ashley, 39 and I'm 10 weeks 5 days, due April 15th. We had a miscarriage 6 weeks prior to conceiving Rainbow (working title) so I have a lot of pregnancy anxiety, although things do seem to be progressing well. I have two older children from a previous marriage (15 and 12) and this will be my husband's first.
  • I hope I don’t get judged for this.. but hello my name is Natalie and I’m 16 years old and just found out I’m having twins.. my due date is around April 9th..
  • Late to introduce myself, I’ve been lurking for a few weeks but after a miscarriage in May, I’ve been hesitant to get excited. I’m Erin, 33yo. I have 8yo and 6yo sons. We started ttc back in February, and after suffering a missed miscarriage at 10wks and trying again we are currently pregnant! Due April 30, so I’m 9 weeks today. We had our first ultrasound last Thursday and found out we are expecting di-di twins. I’m even more nervous because we are so excited and just hoping it works out! Both babies had strong heartbeats so fingers crossed for healthy babies. Overall, I’ve been feeling pretty awful, I’m definitely ready to fast forward a couple of weeks and hopefully be feeling better.
  • Hi I am Jess, 38. I have 4 children from a previous marriage ages 18,16,14, and 9. 2 bonus babies ages 6(almost 7) and 4. This will be mine and my husbands first baby together. We miscarried once since we got married but so far this is a healthy growing pregnancy. Ultrasound was Monday and we measured 9w6d and heart rate was 160. It even appeared to have the hiccups at the end at least that’s what it looked like to me and the ultrasound tech. I have struggled with thinking I’m too old to be pregnant and this one hasn’t been easy on me but I am so grateful and excited to see what the future holds.
  • Hi everyone. Super late here but I’m Tiffani, 13 weeks along with a due date of April 6th. This is my first and my husband and I were super fortunate to only be trying for 3 months before the positive test. We’re very excited as we just got married in April and our first anniversary will be as a family! Had my second ultrasound this past week and wow oh wow how crazy it was to see the changes from week 8 Lima bean to week 12 little baby moving around! Congratulations to everyone :)
  • H ey everyone, my names Laurel and I’m 16 weeks today, due April 4/24. Looking forward to finding out the baby’s sex next week and for the anatomy ultrasound November 14! Love reading everyone’s stories and feeling that sense of community with everyone. 😊🩷
  • Hi all, I'm super late to the party, but happy to be here.  My husband and I are expecting our third child on April 6; we have twin girls that will be turning 10 a month after baby is here.  :o

Number 3 is coming to us via gestational surrogate.  Due to infertility issues, we went the IVF route and successfully transferred two beautiful embryos.  Unfortunately, my pregnancy was rough on me, and I ended up with heart failure in week 35.  Everyone is happy and healthy now, but my doctors were not supportive of further transfers.  Left with two frozen embryos, my husband and I struggled for years to decide what to do.  We finally decided to pursue surrogacy at the beginning of 2022.  We've had some starts and stops and one failed transfer, and I had kind of convinced myself that we would remain a family of 4.  So of course, the final transfer took, and we'll be new parents again in our 40s.

I'm excited and apprehensive, and it still all seems a little unreal because I'm not pregnant myself.  I've looked for groups like this for expectant parents through surrogacy, and there's not much out there, so I hope you ladies will let me tag along here for the journey. :)
  • Hi everyone!

I’m pretty late to the party- but wanted to get my intro out here! My name is Stephanie, this is my first pregnancy, & my husband and I are first time parents- due date is 4/6- 3 days before my 30th birthday! We found out we were pregnant on our honeymoon in Italy back in July- such a magical moment! We definitely conceived the weekend of our wedding which is super special.

Looking forward to having a supportive community to lean on through this journey!
  • I was late to join the last group, and I'm late to get into this one, too. So hello, everyone! I'm Emily, and this is my fourth pregnancy. We lost our first two both in 2020, and our son is now 15 months old. He still isn't really aware of what's going on, but we're working on that, and I'm really excited to see him and this new little one together. We're due 4/24, but our son came a week early, so I'm preparing myself for somewhere around the 17th instead.

I’m extremely late to this thread. I’m Ashley, I’m 35, I live in West Texas and this is my first pregnancy and first baby. I’ll be 19 weeks on Wednesday 11/8 and I’m due 4/4 which is my husband’s birthday.

We have our anatomy scan this Wednesday and we are doing a gender reveal on thanksgiving to find out if we’re having a boy or a girl. We’re very excited and nervous! Congratulations to all the mamas!
  • Praying for healthy and happy babies!!!!
I'm 17 weeks we are due April 9th. First baby, prayed for my little bundle for years and we couldn't be more scared and excited!
  • Hi my name is Kassi, I’m 25 and having identical twin boys! I’m 17 weeks and just found out I’m having twins.. I have two daughters that are 4 and 2. So this was a huge surprise.
  • Late to the game! Also check in very infrequently, but 2nd time pregnancy, 3rd baby due! Chelsea, 28, due 4/3! We aren't finding out what we're having which is driving DH insane but we have already b/g twins that are 5 so I think its just so fun to be surprised! This is DHs first bio baby but he stepped into dad with the twins so easily they don't even know the difference 🤍
  • Hello Everyone! I’m super late but my name is Essence and I am 28 years old pregnant with my first child - a baby boy 🥰. We are nervous but more excited about it and look forward to starting our little family on April 10th (which was originally April 17th but my due date was pushed up at my anatomy scan.) We are hoping he comes a little later as I will be in my last semester of law school so just want to finish as much of the semester as I can.
  • Hi everyone. I’m getting a late start here. I’m new to the bump. I’m 39 years old, I’ve struggled with fertility due to pcos and have lost 3 babies previously. I am happy to announce, I am 23 weeks with a boy and so far so good. My edd is April 24th, 2024. I’m just now letting myself get excited. I’m happy to finally join the club. I’m doing the single mom thing and I’m ok with it. I can’t wait to meet my rainbow prince.
