April 2024 Moms

Introductions

It’s pretty empty here!
I’m Jasmine. Just got my big fat positive today at 13dpo. Super planned pregnancy, but still shocked and still can’t believe it! My expected due date is April 7th, 7 days before my birthday!! I haven’t told my husband yet, but I’m coming up with a cute way to tell him before the weekend. My mom is coming to visit for a few days, so what a beautiful surprise it’ll be for her! Praying for a healthy little bean!

Re: Introductions

  • Hi Jasmine, I'm Skye. My SO and I have been ttc since April. I'm surprised it was as quick as it was since I'm 37 and overweight and he's a pretty big cannabis user. I got a vvvvvfl 2 days ago at 10 dpo, and a faint but clear line yesterday. Estimated due date is April 1, but I ovulated 5 days late this cycle, so I feel like it should really be a bit later. But an April Fools baby would be pretty cool! I'm also still debating ways to tell my SO. Congrats to both of us, and I hope everything goes well and our little beans are sticky. 🙂

  • Hi jasmine and Sky!

I got pregnant on my wedding day! We couldn’t believe it. We are so excited for our little Aries baby. My first US is 8/30 and that feels like FOREVER. Praying for a healthy little baby.
  • Hi, I’m in the TWW, so I may or may not be sticking around depending on test results. We weren’t TTC, but hey, we had fun the night and I belatedly realized it was O time, so whoopsie daisy. We have several children already and I just *feel* like I am. I’m very bloated and crampy, and I normally don’t feel either of those, even with AF. I’m waiting a few more days to test. 🥰
  • Yay!! Congrats everyone. I got vvvfl on 10dpo as well, but I just thought my eyes were tricking me. I wanted darker lines before I said anything to my husband. I was able to wait until 13dpo. Planned on doing a cute thing with a onesie from Amazon but just couldn’t wait for shipping lol. I put them on top of his phone so he’d see them immediately when his alarm went off lol
  • My confirmation isn’t until 9/5 because my doctor was so booked!!
  • Hey everyone! I got a BFP last Monday, the week of my birthday!! I am still in a state of shock but we are so thrilled, it’s all I can think about!
  • Hi, Im Victoria. Im 20 and its my first pregnancy. Can anyone give me tips, tricks and every need to know? Thank you so much
  • Congrats on your baby. I just had my first last year and just found out I’m preggers with my second. Just wanted to say, congrats new mom to be and don’t stress about not knowing what you are doing lol. Your mamma instincts will def kick in and lean on friends in your life who have had babies. That’s my best advice.
  • Hi all! I’m about 5 weeks along but I found out as soon as I could test so I’ve already been celebrating 2 weeks. I don’t see my doc until September 5 and I’m super impatient about it but just trying to count the days. Also 37 and overweight so I’m paranoid that it could cause problems but I’m just trying to take it a day at a time
  • Hi - just found out I’m pregnant, currently 5 weeks. I’m 25 and it was unplanned.. it doesn’t feel real.. I’m scared and excited.. Would love any advice anyone has or to talk with other young moms to be!
  • Me too! Feels so far away right?
  • Hi all! And congrats! I’m currently 5 weeks. I’m also 37 and this will be my first child. Estimated due date is April 5, but we’ll see when I go to get an ultrasound Aug 28. I am too a little worried as I’m prediabetic, overweight, and have glaucoma.
  • Congrats & welcome! I’m new on here too & ttc
  • Hi all! I'm five weeks with my second. Like a few of you, I'm already anticipating that first drs visit but it's not til early Sept. I can't wait to see my little gummy bear on the ultrasound! Nice to start to meet you all and congrats!
  • Hi! I’m Sarah. I’m due 4/6. I have one son who will be 10 next month. I’m 35, and I recently read that advanced maternal age used to be called geriatric pregnancy. So rude! Overall I’m feeling great with few symptoms, but I definitely have the smell super power. We needed to go to target for toothpaste and I could tell it was on the next aisle because I could smell the toothpaste two aisles over 😂. I don’t remember that with the first kid!
  • Hi everyone! I'm Katie. Just tested positive yesterday and made my appointments today (not until end of this month/beginning of next). This will be our 2nd baby but first 'kind of planned one. I'm usually a lurker on community forums like this but last time I really needed a lot of support after my baby was born and everything was not going to plan BUT people (understandably) were not as invested in being a support to someone who was just a lurker. I'm trying to avoid that this time.

    Hi all :)

My name is Melissa. I have a beautiful 11 month old baby boy. He took us two years and one miscarriage to get and I’m so grateful for him, and our journey. This round was so different. We were just casually trying and I got my positive test yesterday! It feels amazing to get pregnant “the easy way” after so much struggle. I’m not exactly sure how far along I am, but I’m guessing about 4 weeks. Pregnancy after loss leads to lots of anxiety but I’m trying to keep positive!
My bump group for my first little guy has been so incredible for support and I look forward to building with this one!

Oh Ps. You can edit your screen name to make it much easier for us to get to know each other!!
  • Ahhh!! We have the same due date!! Three days after my hubbys and my birthday is April 22
  • Hello!
My name is Kayla. I believe my due date is 4/9. Making me 5 weeks and 1 day. I have one daughter who is almost three. She brings use lots of joy. We have had 3 first trimester miscarriages since she was born, making this my 5th pregnancy. So far my fertility clinic has monitored us closely and things look good. I have never posted on these boards before but am trying my best to enjoy each day of this pregnancy as it comes.
  • Hi!! Ashley here! I’m due April 3rd. First baby! We’ve been trying not trying for the last year and a half or so and finally happened when we were least expecting it. Super in shock and in denial but very happy and excited.

Hi all! My name is Allison. I’m due mid-April/ my husband and I have been trying for about a year. This will be our first. We got pregnant about 8 months ago, but I had a miscarriage very, very early into the pregnancy. Feeling very nervous about this pregnancy going full term, but trying to just take it one day at a time.

Also, I’m 35 and have been feeling so self-conscious/worried about it. So glad to see I have some “advanced maternal” peers here! 😉

Hello all! My name is Nikki. EDD is April 19th based on O date and April 22nd based on LMP. April 22nd is also my 36th bday! This baby was a complete surprise, we weren't being careful because we didn't really think it could happen with me being 35 and him being 45. Currently not many symptoms but complete exhaustion and some nausea. My first appointment is Aug 31st.

  • I have been lurking since this board started hoping I’d be able to join. I was confident (most of the time) that this was gonna be my month. My name is Jessica and my husband and I have been trying for 18 months. We had male factor infertility diagnosed in January when my husband got his sperm analysis results. We just got those numbers up in the last month or two, so I’m OVER THE MOON to have finally tested positive. I’m 32 and this will be our first baby. My due date should be around 4/18!
  • Hi!
I’m Beth, almost 31 years old :) I’m almost 6 weeks - my first check in with my OBGYN is in less than two weeks so it will be officially confirmed then.
Flo/TheBump is saying my due date is April 7th - another April baby for my husbands family!! This is our first baby, first grand baby on both sides.
  • Hello! I just had a blood test confirming pregnancy. I think I’m super early! This is my second pregnancy, the first after a 6/7 week miscarriage.
Another blood test Monday, then will schedule my first official appointment! Send positive vibes!
Also- just started progesterone- curious to know your experiences on it ?
  • Hi everyone,

I am Jamie. I'm from Pennsylvania. I just tested positive today so my EDD is 4/26. I have a little girl who will be 2 at the end of September. I haven't really felt too many symptoms yet
  • Hi! My name is Danielle. Im 33 and live in Texas. I just found out I was pregnant this past Tuesday and my EDD is April 16th. I have my first appt September 12. So far away!! This will be my second pregnancy. I have a boy who turns one next weekend! 🥹
  • My first appt is the 12th too! I think my EDD is April 18th!

Hi everyone. I’m Vanessa. My due date is April 10th- found out with a very very faint line on 9DPO. Had a chemical pregnancy in January, and a miscarriage at 9 weeks in April. It was our second month trying after the miscarriage so we were surprised/happy to see the positive test! My first ultrasound was for 9/1 but they had to reschedule me randomly so now it’s 8/24. Nervous but excited! Will be our first baby- we are 32&31 but have been together since 15&16.
  • Hi, I’m Kaylin! I’m 41 😱 My husband and I were not trying to conceive. Whoops! I’m a mom to an 8 & 5 year old. Glad to be apart of the group.
  • Hi everyone! My name is Stephanie and I am 33. I got my positive about a week ago. Trying to stay positive, as my past 2 pregnancies have ended in miscarriage. Ready for this one to stick. Estimated due date for this little bean is April 10.

  • Hey everyone,

I am 34, but will be 35 when this baby is delivered. My OB is leaving the practice I go to and I am so upset and anxious about this that I haven't picked a new OB and as such I still have not scheduled an appt. 😬😬

I found out I was pregnant on the 8th! According to LMP I am 4wks 5 days. Due April 16th but most likely will not make it to that day. My last pregnancy I developed severe pre-eclampsia and delivered at the 32 week mark. I am hoping to avoid that experience again if possible, but I also know my chances are not high.

This is my 4th child. I have a 15mo old, a 4yr old and a 12yr old. All girls. I'm excited to find out if this will be out boy. I don't care either way, but I won't lie and say I'm not curious about what it would be like to raise a boy!
  • *lurking* @melyrae congrats! <3
  • Hello. Am Larissa, 40 and this is my 2nd pregnancy. Due date is 4/12, and am trying to be open minded about an aries;) got a dental cleaning yesterday but still need to schedule my first appointment.
  • @dmalex320 you and I have similarly aged first kiddos! My little boy turns one early September. Here we go 2 under 2!!
  • @maple1422 thanks my friend! I’ll be telling all the other mamas in our group after my appointment !! Can’t wait.

VERY hesitant introduction. I tested positive yesterday at 9 DPO. Slightly darker this morning. Still not fully believing it’s real.

    TW:

This is my 6th pregnancy. I only have 2 children. Statistically I have a greater chance of this ending in another loss than I do in it being successful. BUT. The two pregnancies that were successful were extremely healthy and uneventful and full term. I will be leery until the 2nd trimester but if we make it that far I hope so much I will get my 3rd healthy baby.

I look forward to hopefully spending the next 9+ months with you all!

    Edited to also add:
I’m 38. My children are 12 and 9. This is my first pregnancy in 7 years. I’m hoping things are better in my favor this time around but I know the age is definitely a factor. I’m still crossing all of the things. My first 2 pregnancies were the successful ones. Since we lost our 3rd pregnancy I just haven’t felt complete. That 3rd baby is supposed to be part of our family!
