  • What number are you trying for? 3, but first two are adopted/being adopted

    Month/Cycle? 6/6

    WTO/TWW? TWW (11DPO)

    Ages of other child(ren)? 4 and 5

Any thoughts about this cycle? Timing wasn’t great, so it’s probably a bust

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? My kids have a dance recital this coming weekend and we are all very excited for it.

GTKY: Did you do anything fun over the long weekend?
H and I celebrated our anniversary by going out to a fancy dinner on Saturday and then we also had a big family get-together on Sunday. Both were fun :)

What number are you trying for? #6

    Month/Cycle? 2/2

    WTO/TWW? (9dpo)

    Ages of other child(ren)? 12, 10, 7, 3, and 1 1/2 year old.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Already tested yesterday and today. Both negative but it's still early.

    Any questions? Nope

    Rant/Rave?

GTKY: Did you do anything fun over the long weekend? Had some friends over for burgers Saturday. Then just our family went to our family cabin and did the four wheeler and swam in the pond. First campfire of the year with hot dogs and s'mores!

@britters314 happy anniversary and enjoy the recitals!

    Month/Cycle? -/-

    WTO/TWW? WTO

Ages of other child(ren)? 10 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? I'm just exciting that AF has been more manageable this time around! I tried out my original cup with the stiffer silicone and that sat much better and didn't leak. And my LP was 10 days so things are looking pretty good here.

Any questions? if you have a wedding and have the ability to leave your kid at home/with a babysitter, would you bring them or not? This wedding is for a cousin on my mom's side of the family and I don't think anyone has met DS yet so I'd really like him to come along, but it would be nice to not have to worry about him. Idk thoughts? He'll be a few days over 1yo at the time of the wedding

Rant/Rave? For a 3 day weekend I did not wake up feeling refreshed!! I was SO tired this morning. I did not want to have to go to work today. Sigh. Good thing Tuesdays are my work from home days!

GTKY: Did you do anything fun over the long weekend? Just had the ILs over on Sunday. Wish we could have done a bonfire and smores but nope! Hopefully another weekend before it gets ungodly hot.

What number are you trying for? 2nd bio, have 2 SDs (17)

    Month/Cycle? 7/7

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 2, 17

Any thoughts about this cycle? Waiting to O, trying OPKs for the first time, just hoping I'm doing it correctly.

Any questions? When using OPKs, do you test twice per day during predicted fertile week? Premom says O should be today but I've not had any high OPK readings yet.

Rant/Rave? So ready for my vacation. Work is stressful.

GTKY: Did you do anything fun over the long weekend? Mostly just relaxed at the house! Which was really nice.

@inthewoods23 I would go without LO. It's just way less stressful and nice to have a fun night out.
  • @inthewoods23 I’ve never taken my kids to a wedding, but I’ve also only been to friends’ weddings since having kids and at least one of those was a no-kids wedding. For a family member’s wedding, I’d probably take them unless the reception was way past their bedtime or something.
  • kbru88kbru88 member
@inthewoods23 I would probably bring my kids to a cousin's wedding. You should get a lot of help and it will be fun to introduce your baby to everyone. Is it possible to have a babysitter later on in the wedding? Receptions can go late and get very loud with the music. If you want to have the freedom to be a part of all the fun, than maybe the babysitter is worth it?

@bserena as long as you are testing consistently around the same time, you only need to test once. You should be able to catch the lh surge. But if you are more comfortable testing twice, than go for it!
  • I’ll come back for tiggy tags!

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 0

WTO/TWW? TWW but only waiting for my period

Ages of other child(ren)? 2 yrs 8 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? Not much. Im honestly surprised H is finally on board. I think he wants to get the baby stage done and over with so he’s realizing we gotta get going since I would like at least 3 kids. I love babies but I really don’t want to keep stretching it out if possible. My body needed a long time to heal after my son so I’m hoping next time is easier.

Any questions? Is anyone still BF? How are you planning on managing that with TTC/pregnancy?

Rant/Rave? Connected to my question up there - my H does not like the fact that I’m still nursing our son. He only nurses at night and occasionally for naps if he’s not at daycare. It’s really been the only parenting issue we’ve had so it’s frustrating. I did want to wean after he turned 2 but I’ve been dragging my feet. He’s so attached and it’s going to be so hard. But I gotta get it together.

Rave: we have been working on our relationship more and that’s exciting. We’ve had some rough patches so I’m glad it seems like we’re pulling through. And we just signed a renewal to extend our lease another year. I also had a promotion talk with my bosses so that’s awesome. I need to make more money soon because as of right now daycare takes over 50% of my wages and that’s with one toddler!

GTKY: Did you do anything fun over the long weekend?
We had family time and I got some housework done! I’m starting to get a hang of things so they’re not so overwhelming. Then I worked on Sunday and went to Costco. Monday we went to the in laws and had a BBQ. It was so nice in the PNW!
  • @swizzlemalarkey There was a lot of talk about BFing in last week’s thread if you want to look back at that one. One thing to keep in mind is that it can cause your LP to be very short, so it’d probably be a good idea to temp and/or use OPKs to keep an eye on that.
  • kbru88kbru88 member
@swizzlemalarkey I'm still nursing my 1 1/2 year old. My goal is normally to nurse the first 2 years. Infact I was still nursing my now 3 year old when I got pregnant with my 1 1/2 year old.  This time around my Luteal Phase has been on the shorter side (11 days). I'm 10 dpo so I'm curious to see how long my phase will be this month... or maybe I'll get a positive soon 🤞

I haven't been temping because I'm sometimes woken up to early and need to nurse. So I know I'll have a lot of messed up temps. But I think I'm still going to try next cycle. Temping will also help rule out annovultory cycles, which are common for me while nursing.
  • @bserena yes I do start testing twice a day as I get into my FW. My surge has been shorter some months and at least once I didn't get a true positive according to Premom. Pre-pregnancy I found my first positive OPK would often be in the evening!

@britters314 yeah something to think about. I think the reception goes until 11 which we obviously will not stay there that long.

@kbru88 yes my MIL has already agreed to watch DS if we want. There's plenty of time to drop him off at her house between the ceremony and cocktail hour but it's WAY out of the way to do so. Not a super big deal but still. I suppose she could always meet up with us somewhere.

@swizzlemalarkey I'm still BFing and will definitely be having a conversation about that with my doctor when I have my consultation. There's no reason to stop just for TTC although I know it plays a part in fertility. Is there something else you can give your son to provide that comfort piece that nursing provides at night and around naps? That might help him wean.
