I went grocery shopping with the younger kiddos, put all the groceries away and even started laundry. That's more than I've accomplished in probably the past week altogether. *pats self on back* It's the little things. 😆
Despite constantly feeling like garbage, I managed to get all my onion starts in the ground and finished up potting my tomatoes. I’ve worked too hard on the soil on this property and this was supposed to be a big year for my garden. I think it’s pure spite of the sandy soil I’ve been fighting that’s keeping me moving right now 😂. It cannot win. I will have my garden lol
STM+ mamas, how are you explaining symptoms to your kiddos? Mine think I'm having the longest tummy bug of the century and my 4 yo keeps asking if what I'm eating is making me feel better lol.
When she saw my snack pantry in my bedroom (yes it's come to that) she started schooling me on how sugar isn't good for sick tummies Sorry, mommy needs cheetos at 3 AM so I can fall back asleep!!! The struggle!
@mrsmtothek I’ve kept it super simple for my 9 year old. I told her I have this thing that is going to make me feel pretty sick until the beginning of May but then I’d feel better again. She seemed content with that lol. We’ll tell her after the first ultrasound in a couple weeks. It’s hard because I homeschool her so we are joined at the hip 24/7 😂
Apparently after 2 back to back successful pregnancies, PGAL brain is still a thing. I went in for blood work this morning for hCG and progesterone. I won’t get progesterone back for a couple days, but what is a good hCG? I’m estimating I’m around 4 weeks, and my level today was 193. Historically, I was in the mid 300’s at 4 weeks; however, I had a known ovulation date for both of those, so it could be that my counting is off.
@makingbacon this might be a better question for the Questions thread, but since I'm here... there's no real established threshold for what a "good" bHCG level is, what matters is whether it's doubling over 48-72hrs in the beginning. Once it hits about 1200-2000 the doubling rate slows. Will you be going back for a repeat beta?

@makingbacon I want to echo what @kiki047 said and try not to worry about the number but rather look at if it doubles in 48-72hours. When I had my betas drawn at 4+3 they were 161 and it said a range of 10-700 is normal so that number didn’t mean much. But it doubled in 48 hours so that’s what my dr looked at.

I’m going to attempt to take my girls to the beach today. I’m still feeling so sick but I’m hoping a change in scenery will help lol. I’m desperate. Also it’s going to be interesting because my 7 year old has severe special needs and is medically complex. I have to put her in a wagon and roll her across the sand which is a work out 😅. Then I have to put her little beach tent up and her get situated in it. It’s a whole thing and normally, not a big deal. But when I’m feeling this sick it is going to be extra challenging.
