It's getting colder in Wisconsin, so I'm starting to think about indoor project/fun. I enjoy coloring, which I know is a bit childish but it calms me. I also like to read, so I'm excited to get into a good book. Though, I'm not sure that counts here.
I am restarting my hello fresh subscribtion. I have always hated cooking, but learning new recipes through that has been fun. I would love to LOVE cooking, but I don't know if it's my jam.
@sunshine134 I do HelloFresh every once in a while when I get bored of the same old things I always make. It's nice to switch it up, and to take a break from planning all the meals each week!
I just casted on a new knitting project. I am usually busy in the garden in summer, and knitting in the winter, but I don't have patience for large projects or sewing seams, so it's always socks or mittens or hats, and always in the round.
@sunshine134 I looove cooking, but even I get bored of the same old things sometimes and Hello Fresh is very appealing to have everything delivered to me without needing to think about it too much. @maggiemadeit that yarn is beautiful. I wish I knew how to knit.
Anyone have any favourite cookie recipes? Every year we do a cookie drive to make boxes for seniors and raise some money, and I need to make 8 dozen of 3-4 kinds of cookies, and they have to be freezer safe since I need to bake and freeze them prior to my surgery in Dec. Bonus points if it's a drop cookie or isn't too detailed since we've learned the hard way that 8 dozen is a LOT when you're putting individual eyes on every single cookie....

@kiki047- I have a super easy recipe for Chocolate Cookie Dough Balls that I make every year for Christmas cookie exchange. Everyone loves them, they're super easy, and freezer safe. I'll get the recipe to you!
@kiki047 That sounds like such a nice tradition! These lemon ginger oatmeal are some of my favorites. Easy to make and freeze very well. I am sure there is a gluten-filled version of this recipe somewhere if you’re not trying to break the bank on GF flour
