When did you start working out postpartum?

I highly doubt I'll make it to the gym any time soon since AJ eats all.the.time., but I'd like to start working on toning up because I can't handle the jigglyness.  I'm thinking about starting up with some yoga/pilates videos at home.

Did you wait until your 6wk appt or did you start working out before that?

  • i started long walks right away (like day 3) but didn't start aerobics or weight training at the gym until my 6 wk appt.  i had a normal vaginal delivery and if i am lucky enough to have a similar delivery this time i'm hitting the gym sooner...

  • I started walking on my treadmill right away per my OB. She said I could run after 6 weeks- I did cheat and run a little sooner.
  • I was ready by a couple weeks - really felt great.  But I'm just now starting to get on the treadmill at 3.5 months post partum...just a lack of motivation (and I feel like my DH hasn't been that supportive, but that's another post).

  • At four weeks I started walk/jogging.

  • 3 days after I came home

    Last winter, I did the Shape Bikini Body Camp DVDs, and they were AWESOME. ?There were some cardio workouts, but also a lot of toning/strength training that was really low impact.?
