DS born Sept 2020. DS passed away Nov 2020 due to prematurity and birth trauma.

AMH test came back at .081. Was going to move on to IVF with DE, but have decided not to. Will be leaving it up to the universe now.

    LOL @halfanewt I know, and yet I can't stop watching it :lol: 

    DH has a lifelong fear of heights. He can barely go up the ladder to change a lightbulb, yet he thinks he wants to go to the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver when we're there for a wedding and I think he's lost his goddamn mind. Even our friend was like "uhhh is he even going to be able to cross it? Does he know how high it is?" It costs money to get into the park so it's not like we can just drop by and check it out. We have to book a time slot and everything. Sigh. I'd be suuuper proud of him if he could actually do it but I legit think I'd have to drug him.

    Dec '19: IVF #1 w/ICSI, PGT. 5 retrieved, 4 fertilized, 3 blasts, 3 PGT-A normal.

    Mar '20: FET #1, perfect 5AA blast transferred. BFN.

    Sept '20: FET #2, 5BB tsf. 9/18/20 BFP!! EDD: 5/27/21. MMC 11w

    Feb '22: FET #6 - Kitchen sink immune/RIF protocol w/higher doses of pred & fragmin - BFN

    Mar '22: Mock cycle for ERA - cancelled, repeat endometrial biopsy instead. Still positive for endometritis. RX ciprofloxacin & amoxicillin. 

    Apr '22: IVF #4 w/IMSI, PGT. 28R, 23M, 16F, 11 blasts. PGT-A = 6 normal. 

    June '22: FET #7 - Microdose lupron downreg w/kitchen sink immune/RIF protocol - double embryo transfer. BFN.

    July '22: FET #8 - Mini stim w/Puregon + trigger, kitchen sink immune/RIF protocol. BFN. 

    Sep '22: Taking a break

    Dec '22: Attempted abdominal myomectomy, fibroid too close to cervix and major blood vessels. Wasn't removed. 

    Feb '23: FET #9 - Modified natural w/baby asp, HCG trigger, PIO, PRP, Medrol, HCG wash, embryo glue - BFP!! EDD 11/11/23

    I am doing this on my own. Left ovary and fallopian tube removed due to cyst/necrosis just after birth. Right ovary and tube still purport to function.
    Began TTC in Aug '18 @ age 35
    5 or 6 (or 7?!) cycles using frozen donor sperm, ICI. All BFN
    Mar-Jun '19 IUIs, all BFN
    Began process of referral for RE in spring of '19, blood tests confirm low AMH (.54) but all else is good.
    May '19 HSG shows open tube, but ultrasound suggests fibroids
    MRI in June '19 confirms two large fibroids, one growing through wall of uterus
    In June '19 I move from California to Oregon, disrupting my insurance, referrals, etc. 5 months spent piecing it all back together.
    Nov. '19 attempted myomectomy (vaginal approach) failed. 2nd surgery using laparoscopic method in Jan '20 is successful.
    April '20 --> June '20, natural IUIs, all BFN.
    July? saline ultrasound and bubble test demonstrate open tube
    July '20 clomid cycle cancelled for thin lining
    Aug-Oct, 3 femara cycles, all BFN
    RE referral. While waiting to set up an appointment Nov-Jan,I continue with natural cycles and ICI, using a known donor, BFN...
    Jan '21 more bloodwork, AMH is worse (.30), FSH high albeit not catastrophic at 13.2. hysteroscopy all good. "looks cozy!" says the RE.
    Feb '21, injectables (menopur, novarel), iui, BFN (doc said the frozen donor sperm sample had the "best numbers she'd ever seen!")
    Mar '21, injectables, iui cancelled due to lack of follicles, converted to at home-insem. BFN
    May '21, first IVF round cancelled due to cyst.
    July '21 IVF: standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 7; 6 days of stims. 8 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilize, 4 made it to blast. 3 are 4AB, 1 is 4BB. PGT-A results all abnormal.
    Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.
    Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal.

    Speaking of travel, we really need to book our travel for next year already but we’ve been putting it off. I think we will need to do it this weekend for at least our February trip.

    @optimistgardener I love your new preamble. I think it's perfect for the current use! Thank you for doing that, I also noticed it dropped off somewhere along the way but I haven't been a meaningful participant in the dailies so I kind of let it go. 

    @wanderlustsoul I like the new SN! Where are you thinking of heading next year? Would love to talk travel, we're starting to look at planning out our future travel soon too. 

    DH turns 40 in March and I need to plan a birthday trip for him but we're torn on what to do/where to go. He's never left North America and no offense to my American friends but we don't want to travel within Canada or the US (we do enough of that for other trips, this is meant to be special). The exception being Hawaii because he couldn't come with me when I went in Sept. I booked Portugal for us in 2020 which we had to cancel, so considering trying to re-book that trip. Where else is good to go beginning of March?

    Funny because Portugal is likely where we are headed end of February. 

    I went to Portugal beginning of March 2020 right before the world went to crap and it was amazing. I really recommend it! The weather was fantastic and it wasn’t too busy with tourists. Where in Portugal are you thinking? Spain would also be quite lovely. 

    I love, love, love traveling and talking about travelling. 

    We’re also thinking Turkey at the end of April/early May. We haven’t decided yet on our summer trip but we did throw around the idea of spending 5 weeks in Spain and then working remotely for 2 weeks and holiday for 3 weeks. But I also would really like to do Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

    @wanderlustsoul maybe I missed it, but what was your older username?

    All this travel talk sounds so fun. We've only been To LA in the last 2.5 years. We've (I've) been stuck not wanting to book a trip "in case I get pregnant". Silly me. I think we're planning for Hawaii in April! DH is an accountant and can't go anywhere from Jan-April. Right after we'll go.

    @wanderlustsoul The original plan was Lisbon, Porto, and maybe some day trips or head south to Algarve. I wanted to do something special since it's a big birthday. Spain wasn't on my radar but it's definitely on my bucket list. It's interesting, I've always thought Turkey would be an incredible place to visit but I didn't know many people who vacationed there. But in the last month I've seen like 3 people on my FB feed who have been recently. 

    @bearmomma1 Hawaii is, and may always be, my #1. LMK if you want any travel tips. Our friend @acleverusername is there right now too so I'm sure she'd also be happy to PM some tips. MH is also an accountant and I'm in finance so Jan - April are also crazy for us. His bday is beginning of March though so we usually go away for a couple days before taxes get too crazy. Since it's his 40th I'm making a real effort to do something exceptional.

    @kiki047 no judgment re skipping North America from me, especially with restrictions being lifted i vote go to Europe! pretty much all of Europe is great in March, you won't have the crazy summer tourists to deal with. Obvs if you wanted to do say the Amalfi coast its not beach weather per se. 
    @wanderlustsoul i so want to get back to Portugal, i was pretty young when we went (Lisbon), it was part of a larger trip to Morocco (we did the four imperial cities) and Spain (Madrid and Marbella) that i would love to replicate as an adult. edit to add: we honeymooned in Greece and i immensely regret not extending a few days in Turkey. 
    @bearmomma1 plan the trip, life is short, and things can always be adjusted! i've been to Hawaii a couple of times, my last trip was Maui 2018 so i know @kiki047 and @acleverusername have more recent tips! 

    i just booked a spur of the moment trip to Disney for Nov 2022, my friend and i are hijacking her husband's hotel from a work conference lol. as of now we just have a Florida trip for spring break 2023, 30A area, which i've never done. we won't do anything in the summer besides use my parents' beach house... my dad turns 70 January 2024 so i need to confer more with my mom about her thoughts on a big family vacation. she was tossing around Aruba the week of Christmas. i will always put a +1 when people suggest traveling at the holidays...  we have done tropical Thanksgiving before and it was a delight.
