Re: Randoms w/o 9/26

  • Should we start an ultrasound thread? Not sure when other groups have usually started theirs, but I figure some people may be getting far enough along to have had a scan or two already.

  • @caroduke Definitely! Can't wait to see all the little tadpoles!  <3

I don't know if weather-induced sinus problems can be exacerbated by pregnancy, but UGH, I have been sneezing nonstop since Saturday. :bawling: I know it's not a cold (or COVID), but it's so annoying.

Famous last words...it's definitely a cold. :bawling: Google is no help when it comes to pregnancy-safe cold medicines.

My son looked like a little penguin at our first ultrasound and I still love looking at that picture!!
  • Not complaining by any means, just surprised, I feel like there are so many women in this group so far and so early! It feels like more than with DS1 end of 2018 and definitely way more than DS2 early 2021. I had expected it to be smaller again and am pleasantly surprised!
  • This exhaustion is real 😭 I want to call into work today just to nap lol
  • So I don't have any nausea yet but the blander/less ingredients for a meal, the more I want it?? I'm literally eating the leftover plain tortilla from my breakfast burrito and I never eat that part
  • My inner monologue these days:
Wow, this is crazy I'm pregnant, so weird. Oh my god that __(everything in the fridge)__ smells awful, get it away! Don't mind me, I'm just tired as shit over here. Also, hungry all the time even though every texture out there is making me queasy. You mean I have to WORK too?! Hmm today's symptoms haven't been bad today...WHAT IF I'M NOT PREGNANT ANYMORE? ...takes off bra...NOPE, STILL PREGNANT.

Has anyone been a SAHM and returned to work because they HAD to? With baby number 2 I don't think will be able to afford for me to stay at home anymore. I'm considering applying for a job I think I would love but the thought of sacrificing time with my son and the new baby has me completely devastated 😭
  • Yeah I’m with @cait32. I don’t know where you live or what your earning potential is, but putting two kids in daycare near me costs $450/week or more. I mean sure, you would be bringing home more than you’d be spending on childcare, but I agree that the expenses aren’t that high as well.
