Aww I miss having pets. We’ve always had cats, but our last kitty died last year. She was 21, and I actually adopted her from my office where she used to live. We were her retirement home! 

We’ll probably have pets again but we want to wait till the kids are older. Maybe they can pick out a kitten. Meanwhile, I’ll live vicariously through other people’s pets!

This is Sandy. As you can see, she lives a hard life.  She's a failed foster, and we've been together for 8.5 years now, but there will never be enough time together. She's 11, and much greyer than she used to be, but she still has the energy of a puppy and she makes me laugh all the time with her spunky personality.

We have a 6 year old Bernese Mountain Dog named Atlas (who is starting to become an old man). He is a big ole dope who I love so much! Whenever somebody comes to our house, he will bark until they pet him....then bark at them again if they stop 😆
We also have an 11 year old black long haired cat named Rosco. He was kinda a grump but shocked us when we had our son---he is so sweet and patient with him!
We drove across the country (from Pennsylvania to Oregon) for 4 days in Feb 2020 with Atlas and Rosco. The 110 lb dog was great.....the 15 lb cat was not 😆
Then we have a slew of outdoor/farm animals....barn kitties Rhea and Thea (who sometimes get to come in during the rainy cold winter). Rhea is my girl---she has 3 legs, is the best lizard killer, and loved to snuggle my pregnant belly last time. We have 16 (I think?) alpaca and 1 llama, 4 merino sheep, 8 goats, and a bunch of chickens and quail.

This is Roxanne. She's 13 and hard of hearing. We call her Granny. She's a fantastic snuggler.

I also have Louise, she's 12 and grumpy. She's a little cuddly sometimes, but lives to stalk around the house and sleep alone in strange places.

@nsk489 my cat also has three legs! When we lived in Kentucky she was a farm cat. I'm not sure what happened but she came home with a deep cut and bone infection. Now, other than being a bit overweight, she's fine. Her little scrambles to move quickly crack me up.

@sambo0423 Roxanne definitely looks like a good snuggler!
Our cat was quite adventurous as a kitten and disappeared for a couple days. She came home with no visible wounds or cuts, but was limping.  The vets think based on the break she was hit by a car. It's amazing how fast she runs and climbs---she definitely doesn't let having 3 legs slow her down!

Here’s my shadow / OG “baby” / cuddle buddy: her name is Delenn, ‘Del’ for short. She’s 2.5 yo. She was rehomed to us at the age of 14 months so we’ve only had her since Apr 2021. She is the absolute sweetest girl but is very very stubborn which is very on brand for corgis. She is on the smaller end for corgis so everyone thinks she’s a puppy. She certainly has puppy energy! We might be biased but she’s not only cute because she’s a corgi, but she’s actually extremely cute even by corgi standards. She’s famous in our neighborhood because she says hi to everyone and asks for pets.

Chili is the black cat, Pepper is the white. Nicknames include: chiliman, chill, chill a will, Pepe, Pepe Silvia, Pep. Chili is our first child. He is shy but sweet. We’ve had him for almost 10 years. Pepper was wild as a kitten but has calmed a lot with age. She is the most loving cat. She is a true runt and is probably 2/3 the size of a typical cat. We think she might be deaf and a little blind and her teeth are gradually reabsorbing into her gums.

We have a 2 year old mutt named Marlon Brando. We got him April 2020 when his original owner didn't realize how much work/energy consuming raising a puppy is. 

He is our weirdo boy who loves every kid and dog he has ever met. We were nervous when our neighbor brought their (then) 1 year old over, but he was so gentle with her and let her get to know his food bowl, whie he was eating, close and personal. We're excited to see how he reacts to this baby (if we get to bring this one home).

We rescued this sweet girl 5 years ago. She is simply the best, so patient with my son and has such a big personality!

This is Georgia. She’s 8 months old. 

And this is Phoebe. She’s a 4 year old standard poodle.

My husband has a soft spot for rescues/special needs animals so we take in strays and feral animals and ones that have been abandoned for health issues these are what we have currently as our oldest cat passed in February from kidney cancer.

This is maple, we had my BIL and SIL at the park and my husband found her locked inside a stall in the bathroom. She was extremely frail and borderline feral. We’re not sure how old she is but our vet thinks about 3-4. 

This is hazel, she was found under a house on Christmas Eve, she’s absolutely a diva. And knows how spoiled she is. She’s about 2 years old.
Abby is the bigger brown dog, she’s a rescue who was kept inside a kennel for the first 6 months of her life and had never even seen sunlight or grass. She runs like a horse and can clear a 8 foot fence without touching it. The little black dog is her best friend Rambo. He came from a litter of dogs and was born 13 hours after the other puppies. He sustained oxygen deprivation and now has some cognitive issues. He is absolutely the sweetest boy and loves to give kisses. They are inseparable and can’t spend more than 5 minutes apart.
