@lighttothevoid I'm sorry things are so stressful right now. There's a good chance that he's just processing everything. It's BIG news with LOTS of changes even when planned. I know with our first my H got very serious and quiet because he was internalizing all his worries and the magnitude of everything. Once he came around he was amazing. Hopefully your H comes around soon so you both can share the excitement together. ❤️

  • Thanks @nopegoat :) It’s good to hear. I hope things start looking up soon!
  • @meaghan314 I have the same phobia!! I swear one of my biggest anxieties is that I'm gonna throw up all the time. I actually couldn't handle that.
  • @meaghan314 golden mamas unite! :) I never had any vomiting or nausea with my first pregnancy, so maybe you’ll get lucky! This pregnancy I’ve been nauseous but haven’t vomited 🤞🏻
  • @auriculatus same girl!!
  • @mamahosch ah Golden’s are the best!!! And always good to know there’s hope!! Lol!
  • Hi, I’m Octavia. I’m 24 years old. This is my second pregnancy and live in the humid Midwest.

    Due Date: 3/08/2023

I found out at three weeks, the same time I did with my daughter. Chocolate gave me acid reflux and I was sleeping 14 hours at a time. So I I took a test June 22nd and it came back negative. I then took one at 3:30am on the 24th and got a faint positive. Went to my local health clinic and they confirmed my pregnancy.

I work in a cheese factory, I know the forbidden fruit, for 12 hours a day standing. So I’m going to say this pregnancy will be similar to my first one. I worked all the way up until I had the first one. The first one was also born a month early. I have a feeling this one will be stubborn lol. My DD is 4 this year and she’s just so excited. She has carried around my PPT since I took it. She’s ready to be a big sister. She’s been wanting this for a while now. Me and her dad had split last year. He’s been wanting to keep her out of this whole pregnancy since I found out, only because he’s mad that it’s not his, I guess. We have 50/50 of her. This pregnancy just happened to come from a fling and I told potential dad that I didn’t expect anything to come out of all this.

I’m feeling pretty excited, nervous, scared, and stressed. I’m six weeks and started the morning sickness, headaches, low iron, and itchy and painful boobs. But I’ll be alright. I do go to therapy so I’m really hoping I won’t get PPD as bad as I did with my DD. I think that’s what I’m scared of the most.

I hope the therapy helps ward off ppd and ppa. I'm glad you're making yourself a priority.

  • @bbrahmbhatt congratulations!!!! So excited for you!
  • Introduce yourself:
    Hi, I’m Shari

Due date: March 15th- same as my 2nd baby (this is my 4th!)

How you found out: tested at home while my husband was out of country. Our wedding anniversary fell during that time so I sent him the gift of a photo of a stick I peed on lol.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and have been married for 10 years. We both work for the DOJ. Our children are Amelia (8), Mohamed (3), Elias (almost 2!) and March baby ❤️

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Emotional? Lol yup. Also sore boobs. More so than with my boys so I’m hopeful it’s another girl.
  • TW for brief mention of loss.

Introduce yourself: Hi! It’s been a while since I’ve been here but I’m 36, DH is 36, and we found out Saturday we have a surprise baby on the way!

    Due date: Late March-ish

How you found out: Nothing glamorous, I missed my period and POAS and it was positive. I told DH immediately and we freaked out together.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)

Im an NP at a hospital and we have two kiddos, DS turned 5 in March (and I’m pretty sure this LO is due around his birthday) and DD is turning four next month. Before my kids I had two MMC in 2015/2016.

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)?
Well, this was unplanned and I literally sold most of my baby gear at our garage sale last week so I am freaking out but slowly getting used to the idea of a third kid. I do best with difficult situations by planning so I’ve been looking at new baby gear that’s come out and also we need at least one new car so that’s fun!

I feel great other than a headache I got over the weekend but if memory serves me my nausea doesn’t kick in until week 6-7.

I also still have PGAL brain despite two live kids but trying to be optimistic.

**TW brief mention of previous loss**

Introduce yourself: Hi I’m Amanda. I’m in my early 30s.

    Due date: Mid-late March

How you found out: It was a surprise even though we were trying lol. My husband and I had been trying for about 10 months. I had a regular GYN appointment right after my period was over and she said I could start talking to the fertility folks. I set that up right around the time my next period would have been. I had pretty much had given up on being able to do it on our own and was just waiting for them to say I should talk to someone. I was sick during the fertile window so we didn’t try very much this time around. I had my appointment with the fertility doc and he said the timing was great and that once my period started we could start testing. I even told him there was no way I was pregnant because I was sick and I had some cramping blah blah blah. I even bought plane tickets for a wedding that night. My husband went out of town for work for a couple days. And I was like let me just check with one of the cheap pregnancy tests and BFP!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We have one dog who is about to be 10 years old. She is the sweetest. Both of us work in data analysis, but not at the same company. I love to cook, hike, watch science fiction, and play D&D.

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I’m doing alright. Symptoms are mild at 5w3d. Feeling anxious because I had a chemical pregnancy already during the 10 months of trying, but I think I’m working through it okay.

Introduce yourself: hi I’m Lauren! 28, From Ontario Canada

    Due date: March 15, 2023

How you found out: missed period and took a test!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Happily married, one dog, no job, love to travel, spend time with family, and eat good food

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I still feel like it is surreal. But very excited for baby. Mild nausea in the afternoons starting around 3-4pm, some headaches, had some light pinching cramping over the last week but not bad, and boobs much larger and sore, nipples/areolas larger already as well. So far I’m finding I get more nauseous when I eat sugary foods, craving more healthy meals!!

    @knottie9087d66378baf924 fellow Ontarian here! 🇨🇦
  • Introduce yourself: Hey mamas! I’m Knequila and I’m 31

Due date: EDD is March 29 based on my LMP but I have my due date US scheduled for mid august

How you found out: My husband and I went to the urgent care for my feeling off. My kidneys and liver were hurting. Annnnddd the nurse came back with the news of our positive pregnancy test.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We have 4 other kiddos, no pets, and I’m a program manager. I like to read, relax due to this first trimester fatigue lol, and watch tv or spend time with my husband. I am recently married to my best friend of 8 years.

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)?
I feel excited and happy and just overjoyed but also annoyed bc I know my mom will not be happy bc she never has been happy or even supportive of any pregnancy announcements. Other than that one negative I love my midwife and our home birth plan and am excited to bring another life into our family.
  • Introduce yourself: Hello! I'm Amy. I'm 35.

Due date: I am due March 30.

How you found out: We've been TTC for 4ish months and my period was supposed to come yesterday and it didn't and so I took a test this morning and it was positive!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have 1 son who is 2.5. I am a SAHM who also substitute teaches. H and I like to travel when we can. I had a great experience with my Feb 2020 BMB and am hoping for another great experience here!

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I've been feeling fine mostly, a little nauseous in the mornings. I've been having some cramping pain which is probably the little babe implanting and my body doing all the things. I am excited to call the doc tomorrow morning to see when they want me to come in.
  • @eidmannt - I'm in Colorado too! Yay mama! sending you sticky baby dust.
  • @wunderkai yay! I'm so happy to see you here! I'm with you, PGAL is a complete and total mind f*uck. I'm here if you ever want to vent or commiserate <3
  • @bbrahmbhatt I so appreciate that.   <3
  • Hey! I’m E, due date looks like March 30 or 31.
We have been trying for 7 months, and we were so thankful but also in a bit of disbelief this month after having a chemical pregnancy last month. We will be so relieved to go in for our first appointment next month. I keep asking God to send me little signs and I think going to sleep convinced my husband’s hands smelled like mayonnaise (never has he ever smelled of Mayo) and waking up with serious food aversions after days and days of BFP tests finally gave me the courage to come and say hello to this group. What a blessing!
This little one will be #5, and joins a beautiful blended family. It’s been over 10 years since my last baby and nearly 20 for my husband. Some of this we are relaxed about, but some products have changed and there are many things we need refreshers on. I cannot wait to tell his or her older siblings and know that this baby will be so loved. We are a boisterous Catholic family, and in my free time I love to spend time with our children, read, cook, exercise, and be outside.
Normal early symptoms so far. The smell part makes me laugh because we have prayed for this child for so long, and I’ll take the funky smells any day of the week for this opportunity!
  • Hi @knottied22685e272a41fe4. Please remember to change your username so that it is easier to keep track of everyone and for tags. There is a post pinned to the top of the board that will explain how. You might have to log out of the bump, or even delete and re-install the app on your phone for the new username to show up after you've changed it.
  • Introduce yourself: hi everyone! I’m Jessi, 36, from CT and a little late to the game :) but excited to be here!

    Due date: March 12

How you found out: freaking out after being late for five days. Grabbed two pregnancy tests from cvs at 6am and made my husband look. Lol. We tried on our honeymoon, never thought it would happen right away and I was shocked (understatement).

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) this is our first baby, we just got married in June. We have three dogs so having a baby with no fur will be new for us Lolol we love to CrossFit together and I love to cook!

How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Nervous and excited! Exhausted!!! And occasionally nauseous but overall very grateful. :)
  • @sprink21 I'm replying to your question here from your into post. Hope you don't mind.
My first I had a HUGE aversion to meat in the first tri. It was awful cause it was summer and grilling season. Couldn't stand the smell. Hasn't happened yet this go around.

@sprink21 bacon is usually my first aversion followed very quickly by the rest of meat with every single pregnancy so far including this one. The only meat I can tolerate slightly has been sliced roast beef. Everything else is a nope!

  • @wunderkai I am so so so sorry for your loss. I had two losses before having my two LC so it is definitely possible to have success. I had RPL testing that didn’t turn up anything and it was chalked up to really crappy luck. I hope you get answers and your rainbow soon. ❤️
  • @wunderkai so sorry for your loss. I hope they can figure out why this keeps happening to you and babies and can come up with a plan for the future
