Cyst at first ultrasound?

Hi there mama's, so I had my first ultrasound on the 4th and they found a 5in circumference cyst on one of my ovaries, I didn't think to ask questions until after when I made the mistake of googling and I realized that is unusually large. I'm hoping it shrinks down by my next appointment in a month but I wanted to see if any one has experienced this and what your outcome was. I do not have pcos or endometriosis so this was very surprising to me. Thanks in advance.

Doc noticed a big old “simple cyst” at my 1st US too, and I was told that it’s no issue unless it starts causing me pain. Shouldn’t affect the pregnancy. I’d definitely check in with your doctor if you have questions/concerns, though

I just recently had an ultra sound at my 6 week mark a few days ago and I have a cyst on my left ovary. Doctor didn’t say much about it but from what I’ve read is that it will start to go down through the first trimester and if I don’t have any pain I should be fine.
