How many vials of blood for hcg & prog. test?

I went in today for my first hcg and progesterone test, and they only took one vial of blood.... that seems wrong.  Seems like they would need one for each... anyone remember how many?

They only took one for me.  They don't need a lot.

In the 6 times I have went in for just HCG and Prog. test they only took one vial, then at my big appt they took 4 or 5...HTH..

Just 1 for purely hcg & prog testing. Like pp said they will probably take 4-5 at your 1st big appt to scan for everything else.

Are you KU?  Congrats, so exciting!  I'm pretty sure they only took 1 vial for the 2 tests for me.

2 but that's because one was run stat and sent somewhere different for analysis and the other was regular results and sent to the slow lab I guess.

Okay, good! I have never had hcg and progesterone, but I remember they took one for just hcg last time... and I just figured they would need another! 

I do remember for the big first ob, they take a bunch!

 Thanks so much, I feel a lot better, I was probably going to spend the whole day worried about getting incomplete results!

they take 4-5 small vials at my doc EVERY time I go!
