Young Moms!

Anyone else a young mom? I’m a month away from 22, and my fiancé is 25. I just graduated from Nursing school and he does CAT scans (so we are relatively stable). This was, however, an unplanned pregnancy, but we are still excited. I have my moments with feeling like I’m too young though! Any advice or words of encouragement??

Re: Young Moms!

  • I turned 25 in feb, I believe most of the ladies here are early 30s to late 30s

I’m pregnant with my second at 24, my first was born when I was 22! Both planned, my husband and I say everyday we wouldn’t change it for the world! I have the most beautiful mama’s boy! I’m from the south and have always told everyone I wanted a big family so I didn’t have much negativity surrounding my son and I know everyone is itching for us to have another… mums the word for now
  • I feel like I don't qualify lol I'm 27. I had my first at 19 and that was completely unplanned. This one, though, my husband and I tried for.
  • I'm 25 and my partner is 27, this is our first pregnancy and definitely not planned😬 I've been having those feelings too, where I'm like I'm too young and now I won't be able to do certain things. Honestly I'm scared of all of these bodily changes like I haven't enjoyed my youth enough🥲 I feel like once we have our babies though, all of these thoughts are going to go away and we wouldn't have wanted it any other way
  • I’ve noticed that I’m considerably young in this community being 25 (my husband is 24) since most of the women I see posting are 30 and beyond. We were trying for a baby for around 9 months (unsuccessfully), and found out we were expecting almost immediately after deciding to stop trying and wait until he finished his army training, so it was actually a bit of a surprise lol. Planned or unplanned I feel like as time goes on and the farther along you get the more natural it will feel! I’m a firm believer in the old “everything happens when and how it’s meant to”, so even if sometimes you feel like you’re not ready, just remind yourself of how strong and important you are. Once those little eyes are looking up at all of us I don’t think we’d want to change a thing. 😊
  • Just turned 23 two weeks ago! I am currently terrified with how I'm going to do this as I'm single and baby was completely unplanned. Getting the support from my friends and family who keep reminding me I'm not alone, still I have a lot to figure out before baby comes 😬😅
  • I just turned 25 and my husband is 23! We just got married on May 16th, and were definitely not expecting to be pregnant at our wedding and during our honeymoon, but are very excited to welcome our first baby!
  • My husband and I are both 20 and pregnant with our first and we're beyond excited!
  • I'm on the other end of the spectrum (husband and I both 39 - soon to be first-time parents). We have no idea what we're doing and don't feel ready, so rest easy that you're going to be fine. I'm told we all figure it out when baby arrives! I am a lot calmer than I ever thought I would be while pregnant. Just take it one day at a time, try to enjoy this special process as it is such a short time in your lives. <3 Best of luck to you.
