Upcoming Appointments or Results: second ultrasound Friday, after that I graduate to my regular OB
How are you feeling?: okay. My morning class was canceled, so I got to sleep in a little, which was fantastic. Nausea's been creeping in more lately though.
Rants/Raves: I have such a busy two weeks coming up, argh! My bank account will be happy about the extra hours at work but also I'm going to be exhausted. But we're telling my extended family at a party on Saturday, which is going to be very fun.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: 4/6 first appt - was originally to establish care as we just moved here. Not sure what to expect. Tried to call ahead of time to find out and did not get a straight forward answer. Hoping for an US but I'll be okay if it doesn't happen this time.
How are you feeling?: absolutely exhausted. Intermittent mild nausea but snacking and moving around at work helps.
Rants/Raves: I am both excited and anxious about my first appt. I love being prepared so not knowing what is going to happen makes me anxious. Otherwise, so far kinda happy that my pregnancy symptoms are minimal except the exhaustion.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: had an ultrasound today and saw little Bebe! HR is 137, and they’re looking good! Next week I have a nurse intake appt, then regular OB the following week, I think?
How are you feeling?: One minute I feel great, the next I randomly cough and dry heave. I’m exhausted. Just kinda wanna get closer to November! I don’t have the patience to wait. Excited to find out gender this week with SneekPeak test!
First time mom, but this is my third pregnancy - we had 1 ectopic pregnancy and 1 miscarriage at 7w last year. I am on edge with this one, but feeling super hopeful! And I am MUCH more symptomatic than the other pregnancies, which my doctor assures me is a great sign.
Appointments: I had an ultrasound last week (my doctor wanted to see me early on since I have a history of ectopic pregnancy) and we saw a nice healthy little intrauterine butterbean with a heartbeat & yolk sac! SO relieved to rule out another ectopic, I wouldn’t wish that experience on my worst enemy.
Feeling: nauseous but no vomiting, perpetually exhausted, & very crampy. Not constant cramping but I feel it a lot throughout the day, and I have for the past ~2 weeks. I wish I knew what a healthy pregnancy felt like! I know my cramps are probably normal, but I still just associate the feeling with my previous miscarriage…. It’s hard to fully relax.
Rants/raves: none - just so happy to be on this journey and wishing everyone a healthy pregnancy! Come on November!
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM after a miscarriage last year at 7w
Upcoming Appointments or Results: Had my first ultrasound at 6w6d and confirmed everything looked great. Heartbeat was 142bpm. When I found out I was pregnant my thyroid went bonkers and my TSH went from 0.34 to 6!! I'm getting some repeat bloodwork this week and I'm hoping that my increase of medication is keeping things in check.
How are you feeling?: Intermittent nausea/feeling like I'm going to puke at any moment. Super tired and the rare crampy moments. No weird cravings or aversions yet.
Rants/Raves: I just wish I could slow down and enjoy this. I don't want to worry about the possibility of another miscarriage but I do admit that I'm overthinking everything I'm doing.
Questions: should I be doing more? Exercising? Should I just relax and get through this low energy phase? How much should I be worrying about my diet and weight gain, I feel like I'm eating for 5!
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 11/19 (7 weeks 3 days)
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM
Upcoming Appointments or Results: first appointment is Friday!
How are you feeling?: slight nausea all day, fatigue. But feeling anxious overall, yesterday I barely had any nausea which concerned me. I’m so excited for Friday and to tell our families this weekend!
Rants/Raves: Today I was so excited for my sumo orange and I took one bite and immediately had to spit it out into my hand. I think it’s my first food aversion. I was very sad about it bc until I took a bite I thought it would be great. Had another person confirm nothing was wrong with it haha.
@nervousnurse2022 I’ve heard from friends that their doctors say to just get through the first trimester however you can whether that’s not working out or just eating toast all day. Then once you feel better in the second trimester to be more concerned about exercise, eating healthy, etc.
@fantasyflyte I was tickled to end us in the same check in week with you.
@physiomama2022 let us know how your appointment goes tomorrow.
@sunshine2417 I'll gladly skip July, August, and most of September with you, I do not like the heat.
@sudsy623 you're welcome in any week, plus 14 is close enough, and 'your' week had plenty of posts. I'm still having cramps, but much less frequently now, and most often attributable to gastro issues.
@nervousnurse2022 average weight gain recommendations for first tri are 5lbs, but varies by BMI. Listen to your body, get enough folate and iron, and try not to worry too much.
@peppermint1119 I hate that about pregnancy food, finally find something that sounds good, only to have it turn suddenly into nope.
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 11.16 / 7+6
FTM/STM/TTM+: 4th
Upcoming Appointments or Results: 4.12
How are you feeling?: Typical (for me) nausea, heartburn, insomnia, aversions, sporadic cramps
Rants/Raves: rant: currently fighting with dh over expensive but necessary maintenance and repairs to vehicles and roof that aren't covered by insurance. Rave: only one more week until I get to find out what's going on in my uterus.
@nervousnurse2022 honestly just do what you can. I have been trying to walk the dog every minute. Sometimes I make it around the block, sometimes I make it two blocks, sometimes we get in a mile or more, it just depends on how I'm feeling in the morning. I was a big exerciser, and had just run a half marathon in December, but I'm trying to be kind to myself right now, and I suggest we all do the same
Upcoming Appointments or Results: First appointment Thursday and I’m so nervous but so excited! Hoping my husband will be able to come in during the appointment.
How are you feeling?: nausea, fatigue and the occasional heart burn.
Rants/Raves: feeling really thankful that so far I have interest in eating and am able to keep most things down but am ready to get my energy back! I can’t tell if I’m making an excuse to do nothing all day or I’m truly exhausted?
Questions: going into work the first time this week since feeling nauseous - for those that go in to work, how do you cope throughout the day?
@ameyer00 For my last pregnancy I got those “preggie pop drops” to suck on throughout the day. Having something small and citrusy to focus on helped keep the nausea at bay. Also having a variety of small snacks in your desk or packed for lunch in case one big thing does not sound appealing. If you don’t have a work medicine cabinet with antacids and such, bring your own little kit of things in case symptoms pop up.
@ameyer00 echoing the above for the preggie pop drops. One thing that's been working for me has been plain dry cheerios. I can nibble on them and it keeps me focused on the fact that I'm eating rather than the fact that I'm nauseous.
Also thanks to pregnancy for finally helping me learn to spell nausea, nauseous, and nauseated.
Hi! I’m due 11/19, so I’m 7+5. This is my first pregnancy.
I have been so BLOATED and gassy! I feel like I have a balloon in my stomach that just gets pumped up more and more each day. And the gas.. I feel bad for my S/O. I’ve read that lots of bloating means high progesterone levels, which is also found in twins. So….
My first appointment is next week, at 8+4. I’m excited to see what little baby looks like (obviously a small bean)!
@sejica woo same group! boo financial stuff, money sucks are we should go back to the barter system lol.
@ameyer00 keeping peppermints in my bag helps. Maybe ginger chews and/or ginger ale as well?
@knottiea9ce69f9ba7b1729 ugh to the bloating, yay to appointment soon! (also can you please change your username so we can easily tag you and get to know you better?)
@fantasyflyte thank you for checking in. I did not get an ultrasound, just a bunch of labs. I did get a US scheduled for 4/20 when I will be 9w4d and am very excited for that.
I'm also very happy with my OB - she was very positive and had great energy. She is also pregnant and was very empathetic about everything.

Hi- due 11/20 I have one child, 2 miscarriages - hoping this one works.
Appts: 1st nurse/ob appt next week Feeling: hopeful, exhausted, nauseous all day Rants: been on spring break this week as a teacher- no idea how to head back in to the classroom next week!
@lilsWed174741 we've been on spring break all week and it has been a mixed blessing. My kiddos are driving me crazy, and I miss the routine/structure that forced me to eat regularly and get off the couch. But, it's been nice to live on the couch. What grade/subject/students do you teach?

Anyone else having tons of gas and bloating??
Hey! I am due 11/21, so I’m 7+4 today
FTM (had to google that)
my first appointment is also next week and I am SO nervous. No twins in my family but the bloat and gas are REAL. The constipation I’m sure isn’t helping but the idea of twins is terrifying to me lol my S/O and I only want one baby (like ever), I am also hyper mobile with a 40 degree curve in my spine so the idea of having twins is scary for me lol. I’m so ready for this appointment because I’m super anxious to just know we have a healthy baby. It all feels more real since we did sneak peek and found out she’s a girl…
