Forgot to take the pill for two weeks!

Hi! I forgot i was on the pill after my placebo week and its been about two weeks since i took the last one. Im probably on my fertile days and i wanted to know how possible is it to get pregnant?🥺✨

Hi there, I see you're brand new here. This board isn't like others where you can just drop in to ask a question, but since you're clearly not TTC and you probably won't come back here again, I will answer so that this is at least contained in one place.

Since nobody can tell exactly how fertile you are, your odds of getting pregnant in this cycle if you're sexually active during your fertile window and you haven't used barrier protection are about as likely as if you were never on birth control to begin with. If you want to avoid pregnancy, either abstain for this cycle or don't have unprotected sex. 

While some people experience a temporary lapse in fertility during their initial post-pill withdrawal cycle(s), there is no way of knowing if that will happen to you.

I'm sorry... But who TF forgets they're on the pill??

A day or 2....fine, I get it. Sometimes life gets busy, you get sick, or you forgot to pack it on a weekend trip. But 2 WEEKS?

I wish forgetting to take the pill got me pregnant. It would’ve saved me a lot of years of being on the pill! And maybe saved me years of IF after

@inthewoods23 I mean, that was my first thought too. I knew someone who decided she needed an IUD because she couldn't remember to take a pill everyday, then when she started TTC for real in my head I'm screaming "you aren't responsible enough to remember to take a single pill everyday to prevent pregnancy but you can take care of a child? Mmmk."

I was on my week off and i still dont get the habit, so i just forgot to buy more🤷🏻‍♀️

Im on a cyst treatment, i dont take it for contraception, and i do want a second baby so i dont really care a lot if i forget to take it

looooool. when strangers drop in to ask a bunch of women who are desperately trying to conceive by being Really On The Ball about calculating their precise fertile window, taking their temp every morning at the exact same time, never forgetting their vitamins and other supplements, measuring the correct amount of hormone to inject into their own belly/ass, doing strenuous financial math to see if they can afford another round of IVF, etc., about how likely it is that they might get pregnant because they just happened to get sloppy for 2 weeks.

@anaslmv many of the pills I’ve taken packed iron into the placebo pills which is kind of nice during your period. I always take them for that reason and, you know, so I don’t forget when I’m supposed to start back again.
