I have been in a real baking kick on the weekends. Last weekend I made a key lime pie and this weekend I'm thinking something red velvet. I'm not usually a big baker, but nobody in the house is complaining about the extra sweets
@whitta1015 YES please! Although, my plans may have been changed this weekend...instead of binge watching Bridgerton season 2 and baking (and obvs eating) without my kiddos around, they'll now be home due to one being sick. I can pivot, though, and just do the baking! Bridgerton after the 8YO's bedtime
Bridgerton season 2 is out???? Well hell, guess what I'm going to be watching in between basketball games?
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.

Is there a separate thread for what we’re drinking? I didn’t see one.
CHERRY COKE. Seriously, I’ve considered it a crime against humanity since I moved to the USA, and my husband got some cherry coke “soda sauce” (what we call Soda Stream essence) and… I’m hooked. It has to be over ice or it’s gross, but over ice it is the current nectar of life itself to me.
I haven’t had it in ages, but cherry coke reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen since she always had it around and offered it to us when she watched up after school, served in a Waterford crystal glass which was about as fancy as it gets for a 9 year old . I normally don’t care for anything cherry flavored so I’m not sure if I’d still like it again.
Hubs cooked some green peppers, canned green chilis, black beans, and spinach for breakfast tacos this morning. Had mine with scrambled eggs, salsa, and cheddar, and some ancho chili powder in the scrambled egg batter.
Today's farmers market haul. Rainbow chard, cilantro, golden oyster mushrooms, sourdough bread, spicy pomegranate jelly, spicy strawberry jam, spicy BlackBerry jam, mustard greens, elm oyster mushrooms, and baby bok choy leaves.
Forgot the heirloom tomatoes!

@runsonoatmeal in this end of the world, it runs year round. The nature of what's offered varies seasonally though. I'm waiting on sweet peas toward the end of the month.

Does anyone else have an obsession with adding green olives or dill pickles to everything 😅 for example I just added olives to my spaghetti (never done before) and the other day I added dill pickles to my egg salad (also never done before)
@aaj1821 I haven’t added them into dishes per se, but I definitely eat them along side a loooot of stuff. Also lots of sauerkraut?? Basically anything pickled or in brine lol
lol that's such a random craving @pangolindrome! I had pork and squash and it was tasty.

Anyone want to ship me an order of beef and broccoli with chow mein from panda express? I'm craving some bad right now. I've made both dishes before but it's too much work. I just want to eat it.
@aaj1821 I made a pizza the other night and HAD to have olives on it. Problem was, we didn’t have any olives. I ended up putting capers on it. 10/10 would do it again.
What's everyone eating for snacks right now? My apples and peanut butter or crackers and cheese are getting a bit played out, even though they are so easy.
My go-to's are always fruits (bananas, pears, apples mostly), yogurts, and cottage cheese w/fruit in it.

PSA: Your brain may tell you that following Wendy’s southwest salad with their chili is FINE, but your stomach will definitely disagree. Disclaimer: it wasn’t planned that way. They were out of grilled chicken and as a celiac, I asked for a small side of chili instead so I could have some meat.
@dvmmama mini muffins, fresh apples, blood oranges, Yasso mint chip bars… Greek yogurt if I didn’t have it for breakfast.
@dvmmomma yogurt is my go to at work. I don't really snack much now that I'm out of first trimester. I just bought a bunch of melon and pineapple that's on sale and I'm looking forward to eating that. Also crackers with fresh mozzarella, prosciutto (had to look up that spelling), with tomatoes and salt is a craving a picked up yesterday so will likely be eating that this week.
So excited I was able to make chicken thighs for enchiladas, make the enchiladas, eat them, and still be excited to have them for lunch today! I packed some up for a coworker with rice too and my husband was like wait is that all of them, he was bummed because he chose to have left over stew last night instead.... I was like nope we have a full tray in the fridge don't you worry!
Tonight we have stir-fried golden oyster mushrooms, mustard greens, and bacon. Nom.

I HAVE TO SHARE. I diced a cooked sweet potato, mixed with a serving of cooked and shelled edamame, added a lil bit of cheese, mixed in a bunch of Bitchin’ Chipotle Almond Sauce, and topped with some crushed tortilla chips for crunch. It was so freaking good I can’t believe there was healthy stuff in it 😂
I bought the book real food for pregnancy last night after falling down her ig rabbit hole. I want so badly to eat to well, and now that I can look at food for longer than 5 seconds I think I might try to. Lily Nichols on IG I'm sure she's got a FB too, you should check her out. If you get diagnosed with GD she has a GD book too which I kind of based my GD diet on when I was pregnant with my first.
And today we have an omelet made from the leftovers from last night with lots of ooey gooey cheese and some spices. Nom.

Part of the "ritual" when I go for OB visits when the boy is with me is that we go to Panera (which is right around the corner). He also stopped by Vonn's. So currently I get to munch Mexican corn chowder, brocolli mac n cheese, spiced corn, poke, and yam/kale/cnickpea/feta/cranberry salad. Super yum.

I splurged on lunch yesterday and grabbed Chinese takeout for me and husband. I had regrets. So much regrets. Don't think I'll be touching Chinese food again this pregnancy. However, apples (specifically honey crisp) have been a super win almost every day for a snack or sometimes even dinner if I'm not feeling what is for family dinner.
@mnmomma84 I had Chinese yesterday- it was so good but I don't think I can touch the leftovers. I have had a pink lady apple almost everyday this week and it is satisfying all the cravings I didn't know I had
@mamamoomoo12 YES!! I never did have any of the Chinese leftovers after my regretful lunch. But the apples are such a win!! Something with the crunchy but juicy bites just does it for me!!

My post-OB ritual is an avocado roll from Safeway. They make surprisingly good sushi.
Some complicated chromosomal stuff going on - our fingers are crossed, but this may not go according to plan!
