TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOS, RPL/RIF, mild MFI 

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW, 5dp5dt 

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): FET # 6

How are things going?: Not bad I suppose. Other than SS'ing like crazy and questioning every little twinge, cramp, hiccup and hot flash. I had a bout of nausea the other day that I was convinced was MS at only 3dpt, but of course that has since subsided and it was all in my head. The knots from this round of PIO are a bit extreme and I'm running out of prime real estate in my target area but I keep reminding myself that it is all worth it, and this is probably an UO but the needles make me feel mighty and powerful and super badass so I wear my bruises with pride and try to embrace the feeling of empowerment I get from it instead of focusing on the negatives, like the fact that some of them are effing painful. Blood thinners, 0/10 do not recommend.

GTKY: What is your go-to comfort show/movie/YouTube/etc.? I'm a milennial, so Friends. Just finished Season 9 (again) with the fertility testing and boy does that hit differently now that I have some context there. Some of it is cringey but it's amazing how even 20 years later I still find ways to relate to that show.

@kiki047 ugh I am not looking forward to doing all the shots. You keep being powerful love and I am 100% thinking about you.

@mambo5-2 honestly the shots are not as bad as they sound, I promise. You likely won't be on lovenox so you're ok there and the others are like the tiniest pin prick into your belly fat. They don't even bleed 99% of the time. When insurance finally gets their shit together you'll have all the support you can ask for from the wonderful ladies here, past and present.

@kiki047 have your tried using a local anesthetic cream for those Lovenox shots? My friend who had her transfer last week is now swearing by it. In Canada, that’s Emla cream. 

@mambo5-2 how long have you been waiting for insurance pre-auth? Have you had any convos with them about status? I hope it all comes through soon so you can get this show on the road.

How are things going?: I am honestly finding estrogen patches worse than stim meds. It’s because I hate being sick and I haven’t had a cold since pre-Covid and now having one because of these stupid patches is like URGH. I know I’m being whiny and complainy and that the worst is yet to come (PIO and Lovenox) but here I am. Please love me anyways.

GTKY: What is your go-to comfort show/movie/YouTube/etc.? MH and I have have been rewatching all of StarTreks for the past little while so that’s it for me. Currently on Season 3 of DS9.

@acleverusername nah, I haven't bothered with Emla cream, I just ice the area well well beforehand. I'm being a little dramatic, it's not that bad, but if I push too fast it burns like a mofo and the bruises themselves are sore so waistbands, leaning over things, MH forgetting and trying to hug me from behind, seatbelts not positioned low enough on my hips, all press on the sore spots. That, and I'm trying to use up old stock at a lower dose which means 2x 2500iu needles instead of 1x 5000iu. Yes I suppose I could try to combine the two into one syringe but I don't have the right needles for it so I'll suck it up for another few days. I've found if I go in on a bit of an angle instead of at 90 degrees straight in, it doesn't bruise as badly.

@kiki047 that's a great way to look at things with the injections. Sorry this one's being gnarly, though.

@mambo5-2 insurance is the worst. I hope they come through for you soon.

@acleverusername sorry the patches are making you feel under the weather. I hope everything in the mock cycle goes well and you're able to do an actual transfer ASAP.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): triggered IUI with letrozole

How are things going?: okay, it's amazing the mental rollercoaster the TWW always is. I wildly swing between confident this is the cycle and confident it's not, while traveling through every emotion in between lol. Still working on convincing myself that the RE knows what they're doing, and based the trigger/IUI timing on both ultrasound AND bloodwork, and it's unlikely I ovulated too early and messed up the whole cycle.

GTKY: What is your go-to comfort show/movie/YouTube/etc.? I'm a YouTube addict. I like putting on videos of some of my favorite personalities playing games together and just having the laughter and banter in the background of whatever I'm doing.

@acleverusername it's really only been like 2 weeks and we just cleared up me only having one insurance last week. I'm just impatient

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): well i was trying to sort out if my cycle was back to "normal" with OPKs (ha, what is normal?!)

How are things going?: Diagnosis (if you've been): Confusing. i bought OPKs Sat, didn't pay close attention in the target app and got clear blue digital not advanced digital. had the reader and 2 sticks left over from my last box of CBAD. so i took one, and it was an immediate peak on Sat which seemed odd b/c i thought i was only CD 8,  way too early to ovulate in my history. wound up taking the CBD as well, also came back peak. so now i'm wondering if 2/19 really was CD 1 or that was just some kind of weird heavy spotting for a day, and then lighter spotting? i feel like i used to know my body so well, and after the last 6 mos it's a total mystery to me now. and that's really frustrating. i also had spotting this weekend, which i've never had during O. so just feeling... very confused.

@kiki047 i am just sending you all the good vibes my college bff had to do lovenox as well, and she said the burn was a major ugh, and it was "thick"
