  • What number are you trying for? 4

    Month/Cycle? 4/3

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 4.5+g, 3-b, 1+b

Any thoughts about this cycle? Annoyed to be back in the WTO so soon for another 3 week stay, but at least the company is pleasant.

    Any questions? No.

Rant/Rave? Rant: I am obviously frustrated at last cycle only 7 day lp. I've managed to get pregnant in the past with minimal intervention and we're grappling with how much intervention to pursue. 3 kids is plenty of blessings, but we both feel our family is incomplete. I'm also annoyed at myself for drinking on my solo cabin week and, as alcohol has a potential negative impact on progesterone. It may not have been a factor, but honestly, I prefer that as an answer to why my LP went from an already short 9-10 to 6-7 (depending if I count Thurs eve as spotting or 'light'), even if that does make it my fault.

GTKY: Are you watching any of the big sports stuff this week? Olympics and/or Superbowl Sunday? Yes! My pic is a mascot, and I looooove all sports. DD loves pretending to ice skate on our hardwood floors in her socks and we host an annual kid friendly superbowl party (obv we skipped last year).

    WTO/TWW? benched

    Ages of other child(ren)? 2

Any thoughts about this cycle? no, at this point i'll just be glad when it's over and i know what i'm tracking again and where i even am in things. i did plug my ava back in and have started sleeping with it, figure at least i'll have a few weeks of data before AF shows up.

    Any questions? natm.

Rant/Rave? i am on day 5 of solo parenting, MH comes home tomorrow night and i can't friggin' wait. it is a lot of juggling with working, a toddler, a cat, a dog, trying to maintain a clean home, make sure we all eat. single mom life is not for me!

GTKY: Are you watching any of the big sports stuff this week? Olympics and/or Superbowl Sunday? i literally have no idea who is even playing in the superbowl. oops. i was at my parents part of the weekend and they had some of the olympics on, normally i'm addicted to them, but i'm a bit in the boycott camp this year. i won't get on a political soapbox tho!

@sejica oh that's interesting about alcohol, i didn't know that! my thoughts are don't beat yourself up about something that already happened, you can't go back and change it. but if it bothers you think about how you want to be moving forward bc that's what you have control over.
  • @anniemarie887 dh is boycotting the Olympics too, so I get it. If anyone else asks about Superbowl, it's Cincinnati Bengals v LA Rams, you're welcome ;)
    BabyName Ticker BabyFetus Ticker
  • @sejica Sorry for the annoyingly short LP! As for your comment in WTO, I do the vaginal progesterone supplements and they have been okay for me so far. No noticeable side effects and AF arrived last month 3 days after stopping.

@anniemarie887 Great job solo parenting! I hope you can take a little break when your DH gets home.

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 6/5 AL

    WTO/TWW? TWW

    Ages of other child(ren)? 4.5

Any thoughts about this cycle? BFN this morning, so now just waiting for AF. It is both amazing and frustrating how hopeful I continue to be every cycle.

    Any questions? Not today

Rant/Rave? We toured a potential kindergarten for DD this morning! I really liked the school (it is the magnet program she was accepted to) so now we just have to figure out if we can make the logistics work. I wish it was closer to our house!

GTKY: Are you watching any of the big sports stuff this week? Olympics and/or Superbowl Sunday? I've watched a little bit of Olympics so far, but I'm more of a turn it on when I have a minute and see what's on rather than specifically turning the TV on to watch a certain event. Not sure yet if we'll watch the Superbowl, but definitely don't have any big plans for it.
  • @abjm0325 amazing and frustrating  how hopeful resonates strongly with me, glad to hear about your experience with vag prog supp, I may try to get a script before my June appt.
    BabyName Ticker BabyFetus Ticker
  • @sejica i half knew it was the bengals b/c its been like 30+ years for them or something? i do love me an underdog story, loved the year the eagles won for that exact reason.
@abjm0325 i'm sorry about the bfn, hugs your way. was dd part of the tour too? thanks, this month is nuts. this weekend is the only weekend we are both home together. then i'm off to a bachelorette weekend (unless i decide to stay home, tbd) and my husband is off to a bachelor party the last weekend. we still have like 2-3 friends to get married and i will be so glad when this phase is over. i sound like such a grouch, which i promise i'm not. just hate that our schedules get so jam packed.
  • @anniemarie887 We decided not to take her because of Covid and scheduling. We will for sure take her to check out whichever school we pick sometime this summer. They also do a K-Camp week for kindergarteners to get to come to their schools, meet their teachers, and do fun activities right before school starts, so I'm thankful she will have that time to get acclimated. That does sound like a lot for your schedule! Most of our friends are married now, but we do have one wedding on the docket this summer.
  • @abjm0325 that makes sense, and that's great she can do camp and get acclimated that way! ugh yea, we literally fantasize about doing nothing bc we just get overprogrammed.
  • What number are you trying for? 2

    WTO/TWW? TWW

    Ages of other child(ren)? 2.5g

Any thoughts about this cycle? I work out of town every fourth weekend, and I ovulated right in the middle of my weekend to work. 😅 So only the edge of my “fertile window” was in the same city as MH. Here’s hoping my next ovulation *isn’t* in 28 days because if this happens every time getting pregnant might have a hurdle. If all else fails I can switch weekends with a coworker, but I’m not really close enough to anyone to want to tell them why. 😅

    Any questions? Nope.

Rant/Rave? Toddler has had at least a monthly cold since September, we kept her out of daycare in January due to the Covid surge, put her back in Friday, she has a cold again. 🤦‍♀️ One day of daycare and she gets another cold! Gonna have to chase her down later to do a Covid swab and not looking forward to it, but it’s just the sniffles so it’s probably just one of the thousands of other colds that exist, but I almost wish it were covid and she’s having a mild course, but I also hope it’s not because quarantining would be a PITA. The usual feelings.

Also I was working on peeing on an LH stick last week, and was followed into the bathroom by my toddler (as usual), and when I was fiddling with the packaging she told me, “No nose mama.” (?) And I realized she thought I was getting out a Covid test. 😂 Sigh, it’s hard to be a pandemic kid.

GTKY: Are you watching any of the big sports stuff this week? Olympics and/or Superbowl Sunday?
I would normally watch both, but unfortunately am also on the boycott Olympics. I used to love watching, and probably won’t be missed economically, but I went to Xinjiang province in China in the mid-2000s and can only be a downer about this. ☹️
I’d make plans to watch the Super Bowl but will probably have caught the daycare cold by then and I don’t have cable, so will probably miss it. Neither teams are officially “mine,” but I used to live in Louisiana so if I had to pick one it’d be the Bengals because Joe Burrow is playing for them.

@abjm0325 Sorry about the bfn. I don’t have any chill, if I knew how I’d tell you the secret.
  • @sejica def try the vag supps! I have a 7 LP and the last 2 cycles I did them and with the first I didn’t get my period until after I stopped them, and the second got preg. Also, I feel like we’ve been on a bmb board together before.

@anniemarie887 solo parenting is no easy feat! My H leaves tomorrow morning for 4 days and I’m not looking forward to it. Trying to plan fun things to do after school/work every day.

@abjm0325 sorry about the bfn. Sometimes hope is all we have to keep us going

@krb99 daycare germs are no joke. My DD actually got covid this month and I’m thanking all the germs for building up her antibodies so she was totally asymptomatic.

What number are you trying for? 2? 3? Not sure how to answer this as our 2nd passed away.

Month/Cycle? 1st after our recent loss, 12th month since trying after our first loss.

WTO/TWW? Waiting for Hcg to leave my system, then WTO

Ages of other child(ren)? 3.5 dd

Any thoughts about this cycle? Feeling hopeful of course. I know we’re pretty much at rock bottom right now so Im hoping we get some good news soon.

Any questions? Not at the moment

Rant/Rave? DD really has been the light in our lives lately. I’m really grateful for her. Still not looking forward to solo parenting for the next 4 days 😬

GTKY: Are you watching any of the big sports stuff this week? Olympics and/or Superbowl Sunday?
I love sports and we usually always watch the the Super Bowl, but my H is a huge 49er fan and is still mourning the fact they lost last weekend so he doesn’t want to watch the Super Bowl. We might take DD out for a day in San Francisco instead

  • @krb99 I'm giggling thinking about you trying to explain to a co-worker why you need to switch shifts. Hopefully your body gets a little cycle variation so you don't have to worry about that. Also solidarity to the pandemic kid problems. My DD was playing doctor the other day and told DH he had "The Covid" and couldn't play with her today. We laugh so we don't cry.

@bearmomma1 Feel free to ignore any pieces of the template that are confusing or triggering for your situation. Or just write in whatever makes sense to you. That's what I do with the Month/Cycle because *TW* after two losses I'm not sure how I am "suppose" to be counting any more. So I just decided how I was going to track it and gave up worrying about how other people do it. *End TW*  Sending you hugs and hoping you get good news soon!
  • @krb99 i lol'ed at thinking the opk was a covid swab. these poor pandemic kids, so many strange things in their lives.
@bearmomma1 thankfully i get to check out for a long weekend pres day, MH is really good about giving me time as well. i love him very much for that, he just always takes a solid week and i take 3-4 long weekends. also like @abjm0325 said answer however you feel comfortable <3
  • @sejica I'm sorry about that short LP. I wouldn't beat yourself up about drinking but if it makes you feel better, maybe skip it this LP as anniemarie said.

@anniemarie887 As a former single mom I'm sending you all the zen vibes to get through the next few days. You can do this! If all else fails, hit all the easy buttons (tv, pizza, dirty house). It'll all be okay in the end.

@abjm0325 I'm so glad that you guys liked the kindergarten. It's such an exciting moment to get the tour and imagine your kid being in school <3

@krb99 Oh man, I hope that your cycle decides to shorten or lengthen enough to separate your FW from your work schedule. Also, I've had all the nursery germs in my house forever so I feel you. I hope your testing her goes smoothly; mine seem to be resigned to it at this point.

@bearmomma1 Seconding what the others have said- modify the form to fit your needs. I hope that you get some good news soon.

What number are you trying for? 3 (I have 2, my SO has none)

    Month/Cycle? 6/7

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 8 and 5

Any thoughts about this cycle? I'm really hoping that this cycle works out. My SO just got invited on a research trip that will have him away for my next two cycles so if it's not February, we're going to have to wait until May. I'm 41 so I don't have a lot of spare time over here. I definitely don't plan to do this indefinitely. But we still have a shot this month so we'll just focus on getting in all the timing we possibly can. Meanwhile, my mom is coming to visit so we'll be trying to get all the timing with a house guest. Perfect.

    Any questions? Nope.

    Rant/Rave? Not today.

GTKY: Are you watching any of the big sports stuff this week? Olympics and/or Superbowl Sunday?

I'd love to watch the Superbowl but it starts at 11:30 on Sunday night here and it would be a real struggle for me to stay up all night for it. I might try anyway- worst case scenario I sleep on the couch 😂 I will definitely be watching the 6 Nations Rugby. Scotland beat England last weekend (yay!) and they play Wales on Saturday. I'll also be watching England/Italy and hoping Italy can win though I think they're on about a thirty-something game losing streak so not gonna hold my breath. (I live in England, but used to live in Scotland. My partner is Italian. I am ethnically all of the above (and more) but I'm more Scottish than English or Italian, hence my loyalties).

  • @Paturkey Sounds like an added difficulty level for this FW!  :D Also, bless you trying to stay up for the Super Bowl. I can barely make it to the end of the game when it starts at 6:30.
  • @Paturkey oh there was a lot of takeout, mac n cheese, and i think one night i ate half a box of cookies for dinner. and unlimited disney+. no rules! lol the equivalent of toddler spring break.
  • What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 2/2

WTO/TWW? WTO, but changing over in the next day or 2

Ages of other child(ren)? Almost 2

Any thoughts about this cycle? Feeling great about our timing! We actually had the stamina this cycle!

Any questions? What OPK’s do you all use? I’m too cheap for CB, I used wondfo last TTGP, and this time I decided to try pregmate because there’s a digital read on an app and I liked that option. But I don’t know, I’m not 100% sold on these.

Rant/Rave? Started clinics for auditions yesterday (so I’ll be a late poster and hard to get caught up the next few days) for color guard at my school. I’m the head coach, so a lot of this week is me. We are trying to rebuild a dead program, so we had 4 kids last year. This year we have 10 auditioning! So we are pretty excited about that!

GTKY: Are you watching any of the big sports stuff this week? Olympics and/or Superbowl Sunday? Olympics, no. Super Bowl, yes. But mostly for the halftime show 😂
  • Oh @ejoseph16 thank you for reminding me that I do care about the game bc of the halftime show!! I wish I had opk advice, I’ve only done CBAD.
  • @ejoseph16 I just use the Easy@Home strips and use the PreMom app to read them for me (although at this point I can tell the peak on my own anyway).
  • @anniemarie887 the year Justin Timberlake did halftime was legit my favorite, but I always love a good focus on the 90’s!
  • @ejoseph16 I second Easy@Home strips but they don’t look at lot different from Wondfo. I’ve tried to get the Glow app to read them (it has a feature for that), but sometimes it’s hilariously wrong so mostly it’s just my own eyeballs.
  • @ejoseph16 I just go with the Wondfos. I log them in Premom but it reads the same as my eyes. It's just a way to catalog them and not have my camera roll full of OPK pics.  :D

    Month/Cycle? 1/1

WTO/TWW? WTO...who knows when it will happen

    Ages of other child(ren)? 9.5 months (g)

Any thoughts about this cycle? Still waiting to regulate (I'm still EPing). I definitely don't have the stamina to HIO for days on end waiting for O, so we're not super serious right now I guess.

Any questions? How long did it take everyone after delivery to regulate if you continued BFing?

Rant/Rave? Rant: I had my dentist appointment and while everything is fine now my mouth is sore. Rave: it's Friday eve!

GTKY: Are you watching any of the big sports stuff this week? Olympics and/or Superbowl Sunday? I've caught some of the olympics, not much. We'll probably watch the superbowl, mainly for the commercials and half-time show.

ETA that I use the pregmate ones and I like them the best. I tried the cheapies and the easy@home as well.
  • @bbrahmbhatt so i was EBF/pumping at work. my period came back when DD was 8 mos old, and was pretty religiously a 25 day cycle out of the gate, it wound up lengthening to 27-28 days 4 mos after i fully weaned (i weaned right at 1 year, got the ok from the ped to start cutting at 11 mos so i was truly done at her first bday). *TW MC* FWIW we did not start ttc until her first bday (dec 20), i had a 5w CP in august '21 and 9w MMC in jan '22 *end TW*
  • @anniemarie887 thank you, that is helpful! I'm sorry for your losses. I've had one period so far, so about the same time pp as you. It's just taking longer to ovulate than pre-pregnancy this cycle. We aren't really trying trying at this point, we are planning to wait until shes a year to get serious about TTC again. We used clomid for DD, so I am assuming we will need to again.
  • @bbrahmbhatt welcome. True confession: I got pregnant the first cycle we tried with my DD. So I never expected it to be that easy to have another, but I surely didn’t anticipate this heartache.
  • Hi I'm new...

I'm a touch complicated because we will be TTC after a vasectomy after a 28 week preemie. Just starting the process. So hi 👋

What number are you trying for? 4

Month/Cycle? Just starting, will be doing a fertility work up due to *TW recurrent miscarriage history *TW end

WTO/TWW? Waiting for AF for work up

    Ages of other child(ren)? 9 yo B, 7 yo G, 4.5 yo G (micropremmie)

Any thoughts about this cycle? SQUEE another babe. Holy Shit it's going to cost a lot.

Any questions? Can I be here? We will likely be going toward IVF as that is what the RE the recommended with my history and post vasectomy.

Rant/Rave? Why did I jump the gun agreeing to the vasectomy? I knew I wanted another kiddo but having my little and then having a couple more losses after her were very taxing. But for the first time I was very validated by a doctor telling me I shouldn't have had *TW five miscarriages and she wants a full work up to try to figure out WHY.

GTKY: Are you watching any of the big sports stuff this week? Olympics and/or Superbowl Sunday? We watch all of the sports. Go Bengals because Joe Burrow won me my fantasy season. But I love sports and it is usually child safe.

  • @bbrahmbhatt I BFed both of mine for a long time and my period came back after about 15 months with both of them. When I started trying for my second my LP was 9 days for a long time which may have been related to the BFing but who knows. It finally lengthened to 13 days and I got pregnant the next cycle after that.

@mambo5-2 Welcome! You can introduce yourself in the newbie thread and then join whichever regular threads you feel comfortable in. There is an IF thread, TFAS and also a TTCAL thread along with dailies. I'm sorry for your losses.
  • @bbrahmbhatt I got my cycles back at 10, 11, and 12 months each time so far. It took 2 cycles, then 1(!), now 3+ (I'll let you know when it happens this time haha) to have a chartable cycle. I tandem fed the smallest 2 at any given time (like currently) and the 'baby' throughout the next pregnancy. That my nearly 3 yo still nurses 1x/day+/- is mh excuse for why we're on cycle 3, and maybe he's right.

    @mambo5-2 welcome!

  • @mambo5-2 hi and welcome! Sounds like you’ve got a good OB on your side!
  • @bbrahmbhatt I EBFed DS until he was 1 year and 1 month. I got my period back at 11 months PP, and my cycle regulated within 3 cycles. I logged religiously for the past year so we were ready when the time came!

Thank you everyone for your suggestions on OPK’s! It’s been a busy week, so hard to get on and respond. If this cycle doesn’t work out I’ll probably change OPK’s.
