For everyone with leg cramps, I can’t recommend the Earthley good night lotion enough! It’s a magnesium lotion and it just takes a tiny bit (like slightly over the size of a pea for both legs)…I rub it into my calves and just over my knees, because I have more restless leg symptoms than cramps. Personally, I love all the Earthley stuff I’ve tried so I’m probably biased 😅
Ugh in the last couple days I think I've developed SPD (my self diagnosis from Dr Google). I didn't have this at all with DD, and man, does it suck. Was going to wait until post partum for a pelvic floor PT referral but now I'm probably going to ask my OB at my next appointment. No way do I want to be miserable for the next 4 months.
@pajamstagrams I have this, and empathize so much!! I will say the doc isn’t the one to help with this. A really good Webster certified chiropractor who is used to working with prenatal patients is who you want to find! I go every 2 weeks and it helps me reset. I can tell when I’m due to go, the pain gets worse! Doing pelvic floor exercises and using a heating pad seem to help. Hang in there! It goes away immediately after birth!
@tacosandtums I do have a Webster certified chiro lol. 🙈(I can definitely get a PFPT rec thru them as well) And it actually got worse after going yesterday 😬😬 so not sure why it really only started this week, and why it's worse now. Maybe from skipping my nightly baths? Sitting cross legged too much because that's what helps my sciatica?? I'll definitely take it easy this weekend though. Get my naptime bath in for sure.
I know my PF is shot...I never did anything after DD was born, and the one time I tried to do kegels, I made it soooo much worse because I suspect my problem is actually more of an overtight PF. So I was definitely doing to go after this guy is born, but now I might push up the timeline.
@pajamstagrams is that the same thing as pelvic girdle pain because oh man I can barely walk right now. It’s been progressively getting worse over the last few weeks. Comes and goes but right now I swear walking and having to put weight on one leg is torture. I was just laying on the floor on my side with my 1 year old and according to google I definitely shouldn’t do that whoops.
@jc0820 I think it's very similar if not the same thing. But yeah, putting pants and shoes on is tough for me. Definitely hurts.
@MrsLaLaBug idk, I never had this before! I was actually thinking about blowing mine up again to use during the work week occasionally, so maybe that would help. 🤔
I only ask bc with my 2nd pregnancy I was VERY uncomfortable very early on - baby stayed lowww, sciatica was crazy, and the amount of weight I put on didn’t help… sitting on the ball was like instant relief. Like opening up the hip flexors would take all the pain and pressure away.
@karisahamdi good deal!! You’ll have to update when you get it and let us know if it helps you!! I haven’t had that pain and pressure issue too bad yet but I KNOW it’s coming and DH got me a brand new ball for Christmas… he was thinking ahead 😂😂
This week I’ve had a resurgence of nausea, vomiting, and headaches. Most of the time I feel totally fine. I have good energy. But then I’ll randomly puke or get nauseous. (The headaches have been almost constant though).
Feels almost exactly like the 1st tri. Seems like maybe just a fluke week, right?
I also got a flu shot on Tuesday and was achy the day after. Otherwise, no other symptoms to note.
But then this weekend my husband got a fever, aches, and congestion. He’s getting tested tomorrow because we’re suspicious it’s Covid.
My sister told me they tested positive and one of their symptoms was vomiting and headaches.
Now I’m thinking…. Am I just pregnant or do I have Covid???
It doesn’t really matter I guess, cause I feel pretty decent. I am just curious If I should brace myself to get sick this week or if I’m on the back end already.
Anyone else experience these symptoms with Covid recently?
@brookejay06 DS threw up with covid, but the rest of the the family avoided that symptom. I’ve definitely heard omicron is causing stomach issues though. Our biggest symptom has been headaches so it’s definitely possible you’re already in the middle of it…hopefully it’ll clear up in the next few days!
Anyone else feel suddenly like INSATIABLY hungry?? Like I need to lock myself in my room so I stop going to look in the fridge and pantry. Maybe baby is hitting a growth spurt bc this is insane LOL
I really need to start going to bed earlier. This has been me lately. And right now I’m soooo tired. I will say my first pregnancy was lot easier in this regard, I could just go to bed at 7pm. But I’ve been staying up so late watching shows and then so tired the next day….
@tacosandtums same!!! Or I’ll actually fall asleep at a normal time but then when I’m up it’s like 3am and I can’t go back to sleep, which is when I turn into a post whore on here 😂😂😂
Anyone having upper back pain? Like between your shoulder blades? I wake up extremely sore and stiff there every day, and I know some of it it's probably how I sleep because one side is worse, but man, it's bad. Definitely overdue for a massage and I mention it to my chiro, but it seems to just get worse every week.
@pajamstagrams try a chest opener: using a doorway, hold your arms out to form two 90 degree bends (like if you were pretending to be a football goal post). Stand in the middle of the doorway. Place your forearms and palms against the doorframe and lean into it. And also try eagle yoga arms (gonna have to Google this one if you’re unfamiliar. No way I can describe it!). Don’t worry about the weird leg stuff. Just keep your forearms vertical (perpendicular to the floor) and you can play a little with the angle of your upper arms from your body to get the best stretch. Obviously doesn’t replace a good adjustment or massage, but could help you out in the interim.
To follow up on my previous comment (and in case anyone has similar symptoms)… we have Covid. I don’t know if those symptoms were strictly Covid or if it was a pregnancy thing too. I hope I’m on the back end of Covid and not the front!
@tacosandtums I’ve had a protein waffle with pb, some watermelon, a granola bar, a piece of Ghirardelli mint dark chocolate, and I just ate two eggplant cutlets with marinara. It’s only 11am here. Save me. 😂😂😂😂
Update: I spent all yesterday on my exercise ball as a chair. Today I switched back to a normal chair, and omg the pelvic pain and sciatica is unreal. Huge difference. But, my back muscles were sore and tight from balancing on the ball all day yesterday. Why can't we win?!?!
@pajamstagrams yes same thing for me that’s the only downside. My opinion: sore back > feeing like my pelvis has knives coming in and out of it 😂🙈 plus I’m pretty sure the sore back is from having bad back posture and the ball is forcing you to correct it so I tell myself it’s a good thing 🤔 cue the heating pad by the end of the day.

I think the solution here is to say no to real chairs for the rest of pregnancy. 😅 I typically just sit on soft surfaces with a heating pad handy. Real chairs suck.
@pajamstagrams I’m so glad the ball helped!! And I agree with @tacosandtums - BOOOO to real chairs!! Sitting at my own kitchen table is sooo uncomfortable now bc of the chairs 😂
Oh I know my posture is probably horrific, so the back tightness is my own doing. But I'm also wondering if I need a 75 cm ball for work because my desk is too tall.🤔
I did go to the chiro yesterday and wow, it helped. Apparently my pelvis was way out of line. But then sitting back in my car later to get DD from daycare caused pain again.
My newest symptom lately is faint cramping in lower abdomen. It’s not consistent or constant but has been happening randomly throughout the day. Is this normal?? I don’t remember from last time.

@mrslalabug I go in phases of being super hungry lol.
