Bump migration poll

A lot of us are about to start our third trimester so it’s time to see where we’d like to take our group!
After looking around it seems like most bmbs move to a private group here on the bump or to a private group on Facebook.  Please vote/leave your questions concerns below.

I am fine with a Facebook group or staying here on a private group. Personally I will not share private details or photos of myself or my kids on this public fourm. And I would also like the migration to stay within the active members who have contributed to the bmb during our stay. I can talk to Randos anywhere but it would be nice to maintain privacy and community with the ladies we have already “met”.

I'd prefer Facebook too for how easy it is. Though, I'm not opposed to a private bump group.

it’s so hard for me to share a lot on here, I’m super private and do not like to share details in public spaces. FB private group would be easiest for me!

I feel like I could contribute more on Facebook - this app stinks & I don’t get time on a computer for better access. Also makes me a bit nervous to share certain things with it being a public forum

I have been meaning to ask about migrating to a private forum! My first bump club has both—private group on here and a FB group. I’ll be honest—I prefer the forum because it’s a small group of us and we’ve gotten to know each other well! Most of us on there rarely post in the FB group. But I’d happily join either.

I think Facebook is easiest to use too, but I am also open to using a private fourm for those who don’t use Facebook. I have used the bump for so long that the site doesn’t bother me one bit. We can maybe try a private group for this last bit before officially moving to fb and then keep it active if we like it! When are you guys comfortable moving? I would share more too in a private setting.

Great! I’ll get a group going on Facebook. But I think we should give people a couple of weeks to add any input and hop on here before we all move over! Just so our active members don’t miss out just because they haven’t been on yet this week:) I’ll look into a private group here too in the meantime so we can get our members moved while maintaining privacy!

alright guys! Everyone is getting antsy for our group to get going! I have actively been in groups where people have catfishes, and we want to make sure that everyone that makes it over is a real person that we’re all comfortable communicating private info with. I’m basing this process off of what I have seen other groups do so, If everyone here who is interested in joining the private group to either stay there or join Facebook with comment below, we can all “love it” on the people we know, then we can move to our private group and start the process of introducing our real selves and gather emails so I can invite everyone to the private Facebook group! I just want to make sure we don’t miss anyone and give our less active, but known members a chance to move with us. And also to protect everyone’s privacy since we may end up talking and sharing photos of our kids, birth, breasts etc.. 😅

I am on-board for a group. I have not told everyone of my friends/family that I am pregnant so quick question: would people be able to see that I am on a pregnant group(facebook)? Or can we name it something that doesn’t refer to pregnancy?
I am also a private person and do not share much on fb. I share more on instragram though but I assure you I am real! 

My name is Aurelie I am from Paris France, I have been living in chicago for the past 7 years, trying to conceive for 7 years, had two miscarriage and many fertility treatments. I am finishing my MA in industrial and organizational psychology, I want to work in consulting. I am currently doing an internship as a consultant (working from home).

This will be my first baby and I hope to get out of this group some help and support.

@ananem I have the group set to private and hidden. So no one will be able to search for it or see that you are in it. Right now the name is like February 2022 moms I think! That’s why I suggested the private group here first because I’ll have to invite everyone one there buy either being their friend or through an email invite!

I’d like to move over with the group. Would be so much easier follow. I love my BMB 2017 group - we talk everyday and it’s so easy over there.

I would definitely start participating if this group was on Facebook. I find the bump app to be not user friendly and the lay out is ugly and confusing.

I would participate much more if it was a FB group!
Disclaimer - I have a FB account only to keep up with my BMB F19 buddies and a few teacher groups for work. It helps me keep a healthy balance (I had to get away from FB drama, if you know what I mean!). Just in case there is anyone else who was sooo tired of Facebook drama like me!

@photographerwife - I run the PAIF Bump - Facebook group. It’s hidden private but you can share the link to it (either private message or in a thread) and have a validation question.  We just ask What’s your Bump username and then make sure they have actually been participating regularly. If not sure - we ask a question like IF method or something we could match to them. We’ve never had a catfish make it through - they have to have been participating regularly on a IF thread or sorry 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’d happily join the FB group! Like I mentioned before, my bump 19 group has both (private group here and FB hidden private group), though the FB group has twice as many women, most of whom I know much less well. The FB group doesn’t post much, so I’m interested in what an active bump month club looks like on Facebook!

@ohsunnydays2 I love my FB teaching groups lol. That’s honestly 80% of what I use FB for now.

@ninrms - an active group is awesome. BMB Aug 2017, we have a daily random, still do HDBD, Sunday Snapshots, have an annual Christmas ornament exchange, and a number of us have met up. I can honestly say those girls are some of my best friends at this point.

@JWatt5 That sounds awesome! And very similar to my private bump group here from DS1. We all post daily, several have met up (the ones who live near each other anyway), and we’ve gotten pretty close! We’re just on the app instead of FB 😂

I agree to FB group. I’m still in my Oct ‘13 group and have met many moms through big and small GTG’s. I do enjoy the bump, but prefer a more private setting.

I would be interested in joining a private FB group. I like the simplicity of posting there instead of in multiple places; and I haven't been as active here lately because of someone online finding information about me and acting super creepy for the last few months.

@JWatt5 great! I haven’t done the admin on a private group yet. I’ve just been in them! So any advice on the fb group is welcome! 

@livingoffpbjs yes. We will have more mods whenever we move! Just whoever is interested and active in helping maintain. The private bump group has only allowed there to be one owner, but I’m not going to keep anyone out who has been active! Just waiting for input over here on who’s joining and familiar with out other users!

How do I get in the private group? My last group just went from here to fb

I sent a bunch of invites out, but noone has accepted them the last time i looked! Which makes me think theyre going to a weird spot on the notifications or something. So there hasnt been any activity. But if you go to community and groups, you should see the february private group. Request it and ill accept invites whenever I can!
