Rave: We had a really fun weekend and last night I thought I was feeling slight movements so I had my husband put his hand there and he said he definitely felt something. 🤷♀️ I'm not totally convinced yet.
Upcoming Appointments? OB Appt next Thursday and Anatomy Scan next Friday (not really sure why they didn't schedule the OB appt after the scan but whatevs)

How are you feeling? Pretty good. Making a big effort to eat better after my carbfest vacation last week and it's definitely helped the heartburn. Hips and back are starting to feel it so I'm glad to be back to my big bathtub.
Rants/Raves? Rants: My mom is lovely and overall a great mom but she can be super dramatic and always has something negative to say. I was talking about how much Samson likes playing with the foster kitten and she was like "He's probably going to assume that his baby sister is going to go away just like the kitten" (???). Like he's gonna be three when the baby is here I'm pretty sure he can tell the difference between a CAT and a HUMAN lol.

GTKY: How many children did you want growing up? Has it changed at all over the years? IDK if I ever really had an exact number in mind but I do remember wanting a big family. Before I knew what daycare cost lol. Now I'm pretty sure 2 is going to be our stopping point but not committing to that either.
@hellolilmartello That bothers me too! I have a small list of things we need for baby #2 so I keep a close eye out for sales and marketplace listings. My mom complains about it but also anytime I give in and ask her to buy something specific she always finds a cheaper version and it drives me crazy. I know exactly what I want and I'd rather just buy it myself and get it.

Upcoming Appointments? 10/6 for anatomy scan and first OB (been seeing my local family doctor)
How are you feeling? Pretty good overall! Tired, feet ache daily, minor symptoms, but feeling good, thankfully.
Rants/Raves?
Rave: We’re driving home now from our first-ever night away from DS. (He’s 21 months.) We don’t have any family remotely nearby, so other than a couple of short lunch dates, we haven’t been able to get much alone time. But we drove to my hometown for my aunt’s baby shower Saturday, and then headed to Chicago Sunday (and night) for a mini baby moon. Originally we were supposed to see NIN, but the show got cancelled. It was a WONDERFUL trip, and my mom said my son did so so so good, which made me happy!!
Half rant/rave: Boy names are SO hard for us. 😩 The ones we had as backup for DS1 no longer appeal to us, so we’re trying to find new ones. We have a few we like, but nothing that we love for sure yet.

GTKY: How many children did you want growing up? Has it changed at all over the years?
I’ve been all over the place lol. As a kid I didn’t want to ever be pregnant, then by the time I met DH almost 10 years ago I wanted four (I have four much younger sisters and loved that dynamic)—he did not want that many lol. After having T we knew we wanted at least one more. We’re on the fence about baby 3. And after having a boy for #1, I said we would almost certainly be done after 2 if baby 2 was a boy (it is), or id be much more willing to go for 3 if baby 2 was a girl (I’m afraid of having 3 boys lol 😂🙈). It also depends on how difficult baby 2 is. DS1 has really been high energy, high needs, etc—not really ever a chill baby. 🥴😆 So if DS2 is even harder? Yeah I’ll be done lol

How are you feeling? Pretty nauseous yesterday. Can't wait to not feel like that.
Rants/Raves? Rant: MH's beer breath killed me last night. Didn't help that I was extra nauseous yesterday.Not sure if I'll ever want beer again, lol. Rave: MH work well as a team and knocked out some IKEA furniture together. Love how well we work together.

GTKY: How many children did you want growing up? Has it changed at all over the years? I come from a big family (5 kids) and lots of step siblings. I thought I'd have 4 kids but life went differently than I thought. We'll see if we have another baby after this one (MH doesn't want to be an old dad but I don't share that concern). This might be my one and only!

Rants/Raves? My husband is home today, he pulled his back sometime over the weekend. I know I can’t be the only one unreasonably annoyed about everything that their spouses are doing these days. 😂 idk, I just am. And people too, I think the pregnancy rage is setting in.

GTKY: How many children did you want growing up? Has it changed at all over the years?
I always imagined 2-3. I had several siblings growing up and as the oldest hated being the one to take care of everything. So I’ve vowed not to do that to my kids. Dh and I have agreed on 2. He just wanted one, but he is an only child. After IF especially, I won’t go through the process of trying to have another.
@hellolilmartello Finding out the gender this week! YAY! Any inclinations? I hear ya, I'm a FTM (I'll be 35 soon) so I'm lucky if I have 2!
@kaf1788 Oh my. I'm sure your son will know the difference and won't be afraid of the baby leaving. People think odd things sometimes!
@ninrms I feel you with the foot pain. Oyy! I agree with boy names, they are difficult. We thought we'd come up with a few names and we've only come up with one.

Rants/Raves? I’m such a scatter brain lately. Definitely a bit emotional at times. I feel like the hormones are getting me to lately.

GTKY: How many children did you want growing up? Has it changed at all over the years? I always wanted just 1 child. So did DH. About a year after having Parker I knew I wanted another. DH could go either way. I’m still surprised that I fought so hard for a second when it was never the plan. I still have days that make me go I can’t believe we’re about to do this all over again when we have a 4 year old/ no diapers, daycare etc/ but I also think I would have regretted not having two. I’d hate to not have a sibling.

How are you feeling? Pretty well, yesterday I had a bit of a headache and was super lethargic but I think that's related to my water intake. I slept until 8 yesterday morning which is unheard of, much needed.
Rants/Raves? Had a weekend without the two kiddos around. They spent a fun weekend with grandma, went to the zoo and hung out with cousins. DH and I went to a wedding Saturday night then on Sunday morning we went out for brunch just the two of us. When the kids got home we had a nice movie night with them to end the weekend.

GTKY: How many children did you want growing up? Has it changed at all over the years? I always wanted 4 children growing up. I pictured two boys and two girls. After the first two girls we had decided our family was completed, we were set to be a 4 person household and go from there. Surprise! We are very much looking forward to adding this third baby but are 100% done having children after this.
@modoodles that’s sweet! Think I can feel him every now and then from the outside if it’s really hard, but I’m like you, not convinced yet lol
@hellolilmartello good luck with your scan! And yes, that irritates me too. I’m kind of glad I’m not having a shower this go around so I can just buy whatever I want, brand and everything 😅

How are you feeling? Been getting right hip pain which sucks, but it’s short. Currently sun burned on my back which is soooo painful 😩 I was getting heartburn regularly but haven’t had to take a tuna or drink baking soda 🤢 in a few days, so it seems like it’s getting a little better?
Rants/Raves? 5yo is sick again 😞 low grade fever today so has to be out of school again for at least 24h. Poor peanut.

GTKY: How many children did you want growing up? Has it changed at all over the years? I came from a big family (4 brothers, 2 sisters - includes step and half siblings) and I △⃒⃘lways wanted a big family. I wanted an even number so no middle child. When I was really young, I thought 6. When I got married at 21, I thought 4. After getting pregnant with my first at 24 and having a ROUGH pregnancy (all day nausea for 5 months, no throwing up, then heartburn until 7 months, then heartburn and nausea until delivery), I thought I could MAYBE put myself through pregnancy one more time. I had my daughter when I was 30. It was such an easy pregnancy until she came 9 weeks early 🙄 so my husband had a vasectomy. That failed. And we lost our vasectomy surprise baby earlier this year and made me realize I wanted one more. Hubs was done, but eventually came around. So here we are with pregnancy number 4, but (hopefully) baby number 3. It’s my turn to get my tubes tied after delivery lol.

How are you feeling? my mood has been garbage the last few days, lots of swinging and intensity. and I'm just starting to feel big...which does not bode well for the rest of this pregnancy. but on the plus side, also more definitive kicking (though not predictable/regular yet)!
Rants/Raves? my best friend from back home and I were catching up the other day and she ended up offering to throw me a virtual shower. I was certain I didn't want anything because of family drama, but in the last week or so I was coming around and starting to grieve not getting to have one, so her offer came at the perfect time

GTKY: How many children did you want growing up? Has it changed at all over the years? I was like @angelz429 and wanted 6 - basically just however many my partner and I could make, lol. then I met MH and he didn't want any kids, so after a lot of conversations, we agreed on just the one. Now, after being pregnant, I am VERY okay with that, haha. can't imagine trying to work, be pregnant (with all the migraines and whatnot I've had), AND take care of a toddler or child at the same time.
@modoodles aw I hope he got to feel them and that you get to be more sure soon! sounds really special
@hellolilmartello I'd be so annoyed by that comment too, at the end of the day you're the parent and can get whatever you want for your baby.
@kaf1788 what is with all the weird comments from people?! what is it about being pregnant that makes everyone feel like they can drop all kinds of unsolicited advice?

@lexilougolden not gonna lie, I think being able to navigate buying and assembling IKEA furniture together is a major accomplishment. the partnership comes out so well in those kinds of scenarios.
@photographerwife you are definitely not alone, lately every time MH has tried to talk to me about light/fun stuff I've just been so irritated by it. pregnancy rage is an apt phrase for this experience!

@angelz429 ooof, I hope you can take it easy and slather on the aloe! I do not miss the FL sunburns, they're a different breed.

How are you feeling? Ok, but I have horrible pelvic pain at night (had this with my son too and I was hoping to avoid it this time!)
Rants/Raves? I’ve been going back into the office more and am surprised how much I love it. I had missed people more than I realized!
GTKY: How many children did you want growing up? Has it changed at all over the years? I always wanted 3, but we’ve struggled to get pg with two so this is probably the last one for us.

How are you feeling? I'm feeling pretty good. I'm really tired today, but that is most likely from all the traveling I've done back and forth to my parents' house the last couple of weeks.
Rants/Raves? Raves: DH can now feel tiny kicks! I also finally cleaned out my car, which was way dirtier than I originally thought. Rants: My sister got on my last nerve at the funeral earlier this week, and having my in-laws watch the boys while we were gone ended up being a train wreck. I won't go into all the long, gory details, but they won't be watching the boys for a really long time. They told us everything was going great, and then we got home to a gross house (I cleaned Friday night before we left the next day) and 2 little boys who were just short of traumatized. DS1 asked to FaceTime me, and they told him no, I was too busy. As everyone knows, I travel a lot, and we have the policy that he can call/FaceTime be whenever he wants.
Questions? Not really - I asked my early induction based on age question on the weekly random post, and will update everyone with what I find out from my doctor tomorrow.
GTKY: How many children did you want growing up? Has it changed at all over the years? I always thought I'd have 2, specifically 2 girls. This is baby #3, so we added a baby and switched from girls to boys for the first 2. DH wanted 6, and he was told he could have 2. He has also switched that to 3, so we will be done after this one.
@modoodles I can't imagine having 6 kids, but I just keep thinking how chaotic and fun your house probably is.
@hellolilmartello I vote for buying all the baby stuff you want. Did/Do you have any gut feelings on if you're having a boy or girl? I was so impatient to find out what DS1 and DS2 were, so everyone was shocked we're team green this time.
@kaf1788 I'm jealous of your bathtub. We have a jacuzzi tub, but any time I turn water on in it, the boys come running because they're half fish and take their baths in it every night (we only have the jacuzzi tub and a standup shower). You could always adopt the adorable foster kitten for him lol.
@ninrms Your trip to Chicago sounds so fun! Names are so hard. We luckily still like our backup name for DS2, but are struggling with girl names.
@lexilougolden I hope you're feeling better after your nausea earlier this week. Beer breath also currently kills me.
@photographerwife Pregnancy rage is real over here lol. I (thank goodness) have a lot of patience most of the time for DS1 and DS2, but everyone else just needs to watch themselves. I hope your husband's back is feeling better!
@JWatt5 I can't remember, but do you know what you're having or finding out what you're having? I remember having days thinking about how DS1 was going to be potty trained and then we were going to go through the no sleep/diapering/nursing phase again.
@angelob88 Your weekend sounds fun, and it sounds like the kids had fun with grandma!
@angelz429 I hope your daughter is feeling better! We had a 24 hour bug run through daycare last week. DS1 came out unscathed somehow, but DS2 was sent home with a fever late last week. I can't imagine delivering 9 weeks early. I have a few friends who had babies in the NICU, and I've always admired their strength.
