Re: Weekly Check-In, Week of 8/23

  • @morganw320 oh man, I am so sorry you tested positive for COVID. Are you still feeling ok?

@smashjam I'm glad the first day of school went well for you! It's been so weird watching all my friends and H go back to work and I'm not - but I am definitely a whole lot less stressed. They just mandated masks for all in school for the first month in my state, which makes me so relieved for H.

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 7+1 / April 12

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

Upcoming Appointments: intake with nurse on Fri

How are you feeling?: Ok. I was pretty queasy/unsettled stomach at the end of last week/beginning of this week, but that seems to have eased off a bit (we had to move a bunch of stuff out of my office since they're changing placements at my school and surprisingly that helped to take my mind off of my stomach!). Otherwise really tender breasts, gassy/crampy, and feeling overly cold then hot all night.

Rants/Raves: I can't believe it's already the end of August! I never want summer to end when we're in the middle of it but the end of August something always switches in my brain and I am just ready for fall. Looking forward to getting into a routine at work and for this humidity to get dialed back a bit.

    Questions: natm

  • @morganw320 hope your symptoms are staying mild.
@jessabelle05 as others have said, I would start looking now depending on your area. with my first there was a about a year wait list
@juleschristen at 6+4 i think even being able to capture the HR is good. and 118 is a good number. It's my understanding that they want to see it at a least 110 at that gestational age.

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4/3, 8+3

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Upcoming Appointments: i was d/c from RE, next week I have my initial with my OB and my "dating" u/s.

How are you feeling?: tired. and experiencing nausea that I did not have last time. I've tried the B6+unisom and found that I have to take it scheduled to get any relief, but at least it is a bit of relief.

Rants/Raves: I got sent home from work for having nasal congestion. I was told to monitor it for 24 hrs and if I had relief with OTC meds then I could come back. So they let me come back, but I had to tell the employee health nurse about being pregnant. Also, nasal congestion sucks when you can't really take anything. Luckily I can get some momentary relief from saline spray.

Questions: any one else having weird dreams now that you're pregnant? I did not have this experience last time. they're just...bizarre.

  • @Avrilmai Yes! Pregnancy dreams and bonkers!
  • @fameonmain @Avrilmai I am feeling good and had a negative test earlier this week so all is well. Wish I could’ve avoided it altogether, but glad that I got it after vax—def ensured a milder/shorter case. Thanks for checking in!
  • @maggiemadeit thank you for the kind words and reassurance. I had a negative test earlier this week and feel back to normal. I’m glad that I had the vax and had very mild symptoms—calms my anxiety about lasting effects a bit! Hope your little one is doing ok! <3
