Re: September/October 2021 FET

  • @romeoandjuliet146 I’ve always read that FMU is the best, but I am peeing on all the sticks and my FMU is always the lightest line.

@romeoandjuliet146 yay!!!! So happy for you! Friday can’t get here fast enough!

Very happy for everyone’s BFPs! (Also glad the spotting stopped @slim000! Progesterone gives me really bad constipation - so definitely understand your pain and not looking forward to that part!).
  • @bender29 You made me laugh when you wrote "peeing on all the sticks" because I thought of my ziploc bag of pregnancy tests that I bought before transfer. I have so many :D

@skyee87 For your transfer, will you do PIO? Did you ever find out if that's what caused your reaction last time?
  • Just finished up my blood draw for my beta! We are going to the Apple orchard with my in laws now, and I’m not sure how I’m going to sneak the call with the results and/or pull myself together either way.

We decided to wait to tell anyone until after our first US if all goes as planned!

@bender29 crossing everything right now for you!!! 🤞 hope you have a relaxing time at the orchard and some very good news!

@romeoandjuliet146 I still think I had a fever due to the inflammation but no one is sure. So the RE still wants to do PIO shots and see if maybe the issue last time was that they drew the circle a little too high and I was hitting the back muscle… the RE did agree that if the same pain happens again, she’ll immediately replace the PIO shots so we don’t have to cancel or anything like that. I’m a little nervous about it but hoping for the best.
  • @bender29 Yay!  I'm glad they got the results to you fast now you can enjoy the rest of your day :)
  • Yay @bender29! I bet it's hard to keep it a secret today after receiving that exciting news.
Does your clinic do a second beta?
  • Yes, I go in again on Tuesday.

  • @romeoandjuliet146 wohoo yay on your transfer!! Good luck on Friday ☺️

@bender29 congrats!! How are you feeling? This is a big week for a lot of us!
  • @slim000 kind of 💩ing my pants because that’s only two less than my beta for my twins, and my house could not handle another set of twins 😂
  • @bender29 hey, I was wondering regarding your twins, did you transfer 2 or did you transfer one and it split?
  • @sabriana just one! Funny enough we begged them to transfer two because we wanted twins soooo bad, but they wouldn’t. Pretty happy they didn’t now. We also only transferred one this time 😅
  • What symptoms is everyone having?
  • @romeoandjuliet146 I don’t have much of anything for symptoms other than a loss of appetite. Yesterday I made it to 3pm before I remembered to eat.

I had two days last week, starting the day before I popped my first BFP where I had crazy body aches, was nauseous and my head felt like it was going to explode, but that’s gone away and haven’t had much else going on.
  • @bender29 omg I can’t imagine transferring one and then getting twins 😂 how crazy!

@romeoandjuliet146 I have no symptoms, maybe a random twinge here and there but barely. On Friday I was having a crazy backache but only lasted about and hour. I was honestly 100% shocked when I got a BFP.
  • @bender29 and @slim000 Same for me, really nothing except a lot of bloating.
  • We have a couple betas today right?
  • @slim000, good luck with your beta today!
@romeoandjuliet146, same as @bender29 , the fmu seemed lighter for me too, but it's probably because I'm up all night peeing from drinking tea at night.🤷‍♀️.
@bender29, wow, I could imagining transferring only one and finding out its twins, what a surprise!

My bloodwork was done this morning but my clinic will call me in the afternoon w/ results.

  • Yep, got mine today!

beta came back 473!! ☺️ Waiting for the nurse to call with next steps (I peaked at my results online first). Now pray for this number to go up!!

  • @slim000 how many did you transfer? That’s a crazy high beta isn’t it??
  • @slim000, wow, that is an amazing number!! Congratulations!                          If I get good news today, mine will be no where near that, my tests doesn't seem that dark and w/ both my DS and DD it was barely over 100. With my chemical, it was only 31.

@bender29 oh lord we just transferred one lol. Too scared to do two 😂

    @sabriana good luck!!!

    *Child mentioned*

It does sound high but with my DD my first beta came back 800. So I’m fairly confident there is just one little bean in there ☺️

  • Congrats @slim000!!!! ❤️

    Thinking of you @sabriana! 🤞🤞🤞
  • Well not good news for me ladies! I'm sorry I have to break the chain, I wish we all had a great outcome.
I got the call and my beta is only 34, looks like another chemical for me. They want me to do another beta on Wednesday to see which way this is going but I know how this goes.
I'll be rooting for you all and good luck with everything.
  • @sabriana I’m sorry you didn’t get the news you wanted todaybut I wouldn’t totally count yourself out yet. Take care of yourself.
  • @sabriana ugh I’m sorry to hear that, but I’ll be be hoping for better news for you on Wednesday 🤞🏽
  • @sabriana Sorry about that. I hope you hear better news Wednesday.
  • @slim000 Congratulations!

Are you carrying around your DD as usual or trying to be more careful? I have a toddler and am trying not to lift her too much.

  • @romeoandjuliet146 the first 3 days after transfer I was really careful, but I had help those days. As a SHM for two 1.5 year olds I just don’t really have the option to not pick them up frequently. However I’ve been avoiding picking them both up at the same time as much as I can.
  • @romeoandjuliet146 I’m still picking up my DD, but she is teeny for her age so she’s not a heavy lift. However I’m not “rough playing” or chasing her around as I normally would.
  • I do not want to hold on to false hope, and I'm dreading to continue my meds because my stomach is gurgling as it does when I'm about to start my period. I had 2 more hpt tests and I took one today thinking it may be lighter already. Now, I'm a little worried it may be an ectopic.
Again, my tests have been very light on these cheapies but here is the progress

  • @sabriana completely understandable, I’m sorry you have to deal with this. Is the 11DPT test strip from today? I think the line looks a little darker, but I’m horrible at interpreting those tests.

@bender29 do you have your second beta today? Good luck!!
  • @sabriana hoping it doubles and it is not an ectopic, just a late implantation  (but definitely understand not wanting to keep hopes up). We're here for you in any event (and while strangers online may not really be much, still sending you tons of virtual hugs). <3
  • @slim000 yes! Currently in the car in the clinic parking garage waiting for MH to show up and wait in the car with DS1&2 so I can go in. It’s so weird how much more nervous I am for every little thing this go around than I was last time.

@sabriana, Hang in there.  I don't think it's false hope at all, but then my first beta with my last FET came back at 5 on 8dp5dt... it was a roller coaster for a few weeks and I had many, many follow up betas but that little blast hung in there and became a totally normal, healthy pregnancy.  I know better than most what the odds are because I researched it to death for those few weeks, but there's always a chance.

AFM, I started lupron prep for our FET cycle yesterday.  Last BC prep day is Friday and assuming all comes back clear with my COVID test Fri, FET cycle should officially start early next week.

Edit - fixed a formatting issue with my spacing.
  • I just had to refill the prescription for the vivelle dot patches and I want to throw up. Before we got started last spring we had asked our clinic for an estimate of the cost of a transfer cycle to make sure it was something we could afford. She told us it would be about $5500. Our first round was completely covered by insurance and we were super lucky, but that also meant we didn’t know how everything played out. Well she neglected to tell me that the work ups were going to cost roughly $2500, our transfer actually as closer to $8000, and now pregnancy monitoring is another $1200, plus the over $3000 we’ve spent on meds so far. It’s all totally worth every cent, but thankfully we’ve been able to swing it since it’s closing in on triple what she told us for an estimate
  • Second Beta came back!
    251!

  • @bender29 wooohooo! amazing news!
