Cravings/Symptoms? All of the carbs my stomach isn’t really handing meat and savory stuff very well atm.
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I’m doing great! I’m ready for my next appointment. While I’m sure everything is going well, I just can’t help feeling like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop. Like I’m going through the motions. It’s weird.
<div>How far along are you? 9w2</div><div>Upcoming Appointments? Next week, 10w scan</div><div>Cravings/Symptoms? Mostly just exhaustion, aches and pains etc. Some dizziness / queasiness if I don't eat frequently enough, or push myself too much.</div><div>How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? Glad to start to have a life back! Doing this show and continuing to surround myself with normal, sane people has been wonderful. The demands of the schedule have put a certain amount of stress on things around the house though, which sucks, but we'll get through.</div><div>Questions?</div>
@photographerwife I feel you on the no savory lately, it's hit and miss for me. I'm either all savory or all sweet. I also know what you mean by the waiting for the shoe to drop thing. It's like, not quite anxiety, but something between it and dread. @BusinessWife glad life is starting to get back to normal for you!

Upcoming Appointments? July 19: NT u/s, July 23 is 12w appt!
Cravings/Symptoms? The nausea and fatigue are finally letting up some, and I can start to imagine what a "new normal" will feel like. That said, now I want to go out and feel human, and for me that means makeup, but the "glow" and the acne make it nearly impossible for me to feel like anything even remotely approaching presentable to go out. How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm okay. I'm being hit by the reality of actually being PG a little bit more every day, and today that is manifesting as being hyperaware that there are many things that need to be done in the next 75% of this pregnancy and I don't even really know what a lot of them are. I have lists saved but haven't actually looked at them and figured out what works for us. That'll be something I do this weekend
@chgilmore I hear you on wanting your flow back! I feel like I’ve been so lazy and unmotivated lately. I’m ready to get back to my normal self! And the aware of all of the things that need to be done! It’s a little overwhelming. 😬
@chgilmore Oof, yeah I especially remember that feeling as a FTM because you feel like you have Nothing set up for a baby and just, how do I go from 0 to having a baby living in my house, in X short amount of time!? Keep breathing. I know some people find those monthly or trimester-ly to-do list things helpful, where others, or at other times you may just find that stuff more anxiety inducing. IMHO, I think the sooner a new mom accepts the fact that most likely 110% of All The Things she wants to do before the baby arrives WILL NOT happen before the baby comes, and that it also will be totally okay, [the more at peace.]. I hated hearing that when I was a FTM, because *I* was going to be the one who got everything and Everything Done! ha! But really, it will be okay.
From a health and well-being standpoint, I would probably start by identifying the areas that give you the most stress or anxiety, to clear those off your plate first, and also the ones you think are just fun! I knew I wanted to cloth diaper, so I started building our stash while we were TTC... which took a while! lol so by the time I was pregnant, I already knew I didn't need any diapers. lol So as silly as that sounds, I was like, okay, my baby's backside is taken care of, check! And I know babies don't need a lot of clothing, (it has a way of multiplying whether you want it to or not lol), and it's easy enough to pick that up as they grow, so it didn't worry me. I knew baby would need a carseat to come home from the hospital in, (so my mom got us a travel set before the shower), and I liked having the baby bathtub and nice little bath products for bebe, nail scissors, thermometer, stuff like that for basic needs. Beyond that, once you have a pack n play / play yard, then baby has a safe place to be put down, and the rest is all gravy, imho.
You can easily drive yourself crazy looking at swings and bouncers and activity centers and dock a tots and halos and all the rest, but at the end of the day, your baby doesn't need 95% of the "extras" that are available on the market, and I would only recommend going down those rabbit holes if it is fun for you and "sparks joy." :) The minute it starts to cause stress or anxiety or selection overload, etc, then it's time to back away and take a breath. Pregnancy is certainly an exciting time, and it does go by quickly! But that said, most likely you will be gifts a tonne of things at your shower, and then you will also have all the time in the world after baby arrives to take it a day and a stage at a time, and just getting what baby needs, as they need it.
As for the "glow" lol I start with a concealer for under eye, and any random areas, and then a powder. Bronzer (I like bare minerals or physician's formula), mascara, lip balm, and bam! I find the simpler I keep my day to day makeup the easier it is to throw on in 5 minutes or less and feel somewhat human, even if i don't end up actually leaving the house that day haha
