Need late BFP stories

Hey y’all. I’m on cd50 and 27dpo. I started testing right after I missed my period but it’s been negative each week. If I was PG, I’d be at seven weeks today. Does anyone have a late bfp story (7+ weeks) to keep my hopes up? I haven’t been overly stressed and am usually very much on time. I just feel like I would’ve been positive by now. I had an mc last February and this would be such a blessing after a long time ttc.

Hi there Knottie-long-string-of-letters/numbers. We're a community of people who are trying to get pregnant, so by definition, many of us have no experience of ever having a BFP, let alone a miracle 7+ weeks-late BFP. You'll get more reliable results contacting your doctor (who can run a blood test and do an examination, etc.) than by asking strangers on the internet to make guesses about yr pregnancy status. I am sorry to hear about the mc and I wish you the best of luck.

Well I'm no help having my only pregnancy with an early BFP at 8dpo 🙃

You'd have better luck asking the 1st Trimester board. Or, as @optimistgardener said, your doctor.

Thank you @inthewoods23. I was just posting over there after I read the first comment. I just moved and haven’t had a chance to find a new ob so I’m in the process of getting that set up. Good luck to you 🍀🍀

@rainbowmama22 it’s against the rules of this community to ask if you’re pregnant, even in a roundabout way. I’m feeling benevolent today so… here’s my take:

Unless you bought your HPTs at the dollar store, I’d say you probably have a cyst that producing estrogen and keeping AF away. Or you didn’t O when you think you did. 

But if you’re using good quality HPTs and it’s negative, then you’re not pregnant.

This question was geared towards women who have already had a child. I wasn’t asking if I was pregnant, just wanted experiences of others who it obviously applies to. I originally posted it here because I’m trying to get pregnant. I get the confusion and posted in a different forum, but can’t figure out how to take down the post. @rainbowmama22 You cannot delete posts on the bump but you can join in on this forum for support. There is a newbie intro thread and threads for wto (waiting to ovulate) and tww (two week wait) where posters update daily their status and ask questions to others who have experienced similar anomalies.

You can’t take down a post once it’s up.

Many of the women here have never been pregnant so there’s no frame of reference to help you.
 
Contacting a doctor can help you figure out what’s going on.

@rainbowmama22. If you can't get an appointment with your own doctor because you moved recently, I would strongly recommend looking around to see if there is an organization like Planned Parenthood or a local free clinic that can organize, at very least, a pregnancy test. They may also be able to conduct a pelvic exam/further bloodwork that would get you on the path towards figuring out what's up with your cycle while you wait to establish care with your new doc.

You seem well-intentioned and I really do wish you the best in your journey and hope that you decide to join our board if/when you need a community of caring people to join. That being said, if you detect condescension it is perhaps irritation, since the board rules are quite clearly posted in multiple places, and the polite thing is to read the rules before you post. More importantly perhaps than the rules, though, there are a lot of us on here trying hard to be practical and pragmatic in our (sometimes long and frustrating) TTC journeys. Popping on the board out of nowhere and asking us to support your magical line of thinking "I've had all these negative HPTs for weeks but someone please tell me I'm pregnant anyway" is a little rude, in my book. All of us really really really want to be pregnant, even when all the signs point to no. This board is about helping and supporting one another with practical habits, resources, and tools that are hopefully going to help us get KU more quickly next cycle, rather than giving one another false hope in our current cycle. Like @acleverusername indicated, any decent-quality HPT is, just like the box says, a highly reliable indicator of your pregnancy status. So while it is weird that your period is so late, it's very unlikely that the reason for its late arrival is that you're pregnant.

QFP. 

I don't need to have had a child to know that there is no such thing as a 27 day luteal phase. Despite what you might think, you've received some good advice here so far. We are not doctors. You asked for opinions of strangers on the internet so that's what you got. Yes, there are some who have never been pregnant, there are also lots who have been TTC for 3+ years so we all know a thing or two about menstrual cycles. Probably more than most, so you'd do well to heed their advice.

What I'd tell any IRL friend if they asked me that same question is if your HCG at "27dpo" or 7w pregnant isn't high enough to turn a test, you are not pregnant. Period. The latest I've heard in my 3 years of being part of this community and watching literally HUNDREDS of women come through here is a successful pregnancy with a late BFP at 13dpo. 

You either didn't ovulate when you think you did, or maybe didn't ovulate at all, or you have something else that is preventing your from getting you period, like a cyst. Only a Dr could determine that.
