Hello! So this board is more of a community type situation than most. We don’t really just start one off posts. There’s actually pinned threads at the top of our board for you to read. That should help clear up any confusion. As for your question we’re trying to get pregnant- first trimester board is probably going to be your place for that. Generally if your period is late and the tests are negative then there’s a few things that could be the case but you probably ovulated later than you think. But anyway take a look at the pinned posts and if you like what you see you can start out in the newbie intros and daily threads 😊

What I find wild is that if you even glance at the boards, it's very obvious there *are no one-off posts* and everything is highly organized with matching titles. I just... all the clues that this is maybe a very different space from other forums is right there on the front page! The pinned threads, the look of the thread titles... anyway, forever confused by one-offs.

Organization is hard too....
Checking things out and lurking is just too much work.
I tend to just join things and barge into the room asking very specific personal/medical questions without even looking around for 5 seconds. 
I mean, have YOU ever had that uncomfortable conversation with your work HR about not just running into a meeting with random co-workers you don't know, waving something you peed on, and screaming out extremely personal information?  *sigh*  Awkward let me tell you...  especially since I hadn't even had time to go back to the bathroom and get my pants yet.  Ugh.  Next time, I'm wearing a dress!!!!

@stormageddon-darklordofall What I think I hear you saying is that I should try it your way, like, really sounds like it'd only improve my relationships with my work peers that I don't yet, like, excellent ice breaker.

@beakay8 Absolutely!  "Run into the room waving things you've peed on!" Should definitely be an ice breaker at more group gatherings... especially at work.  I mean, infinitely better than the stupid embarrassing "spin around with your head on a baseball bat until you're dizzy so everyone can laugh at you while you try to run" crap!!!  Although dresses... definitely recommend dresses!  Less disciplinary actions cause you forgot pants!

@stormageddon-darklordofall I dunno, barging into a room full of people at your own workplace insinuates you actually might know some of those people in the first place. It would be far more effective if you show up at someone else's office and run around shoving pee sticks in their faces.

@kiki047 Understood.  I work for a big govt agency, so it would be super easy for me to run into a conference room full of people I 'work with' but that I have absolutely no idea who they are.  But I definitely think this method should be applied to other things.  I mean, I can come to your work and do it!  Random kid's birthday party you're driving by in another town?  I think this is a very versatile approach.  AND bonus, you get to make many *friends* and talk to NEW people (HR/police/etc).
