@bkjade omg I am more exhausted than I have ever been in my life! I go to sleep as soon as my daughter does and I am STILL exhausted and fall asleep randomly throughout the day. It's bad.
@scaredunprepared same! My DD goes to bed at 7pm and I literally hop in my own bed right after! I usually don’t fall asleep until 9-10 (still early hahaha), but I am exhausted!
My random... anyone else feeling irritable and ragey? I randomly get super annoyed these days! Ugh!
another random, I need advice on potty training from anyone with littles. I haven’t started at all, my daughter is 22 months. However, today before getting in the bath she went beside the toilet and peed on the floor. Does that mean she’s ready? I honestly have no idea what I’m doing with this, all I know is it can be counterproductive to start too early. Any thoughts? Help!! 🤣
@rgn12 very ragey over here, mostly directed at poor DH. I just can’t let things go/keep my mouth shut and I KNOW I’m being irrational but cannot help it. So annoying!

We usually start potty training when they tell us they’re wet or poop and start showing interest in sitting on their potty chair.
@rgn12 I agree with eggsbene. Just test the waters - ask if she wants to try something new. I think training too early doesn't work if it's forced. Good luck!
@rgn12- I highly recommend reading the OH crap potty training book. We potty trained at 25 months. It took maybe 2-3 weeks? We still have the occasional accident of course and he wears a diaper for nap and overnight. But it went surprisingly easy. You would want to do it when you have a long weekend (we both took off work a thurs/Friday). Daycare def made it take a little longer than if we were just stay at home and could be more consistent. This is the “naked method”. They reco between 20-30 months, but I’m glad we waited until 25 months... perhaps it’s something you tackle this fall before baby comes!

@rgn12 after our girls turned one we always just set the potty chair out and told them if they wanted to try to go in it they could, but didn’t force them. And once we got their clothes off for bath time I would always ask if she wanted to try to go first. I know all kids are different, but it worked well for us. They both seemed interested and were out of diapers around 20 months. Good luck to you! If she doesn’t seem ready, don’t stress!
We told our news to family last night. For my far away brothers I recorded the girls telling them their ‘secret’. It was the cutest thing. They were so excited and my little one was saying that “he’s just a little tadpole!” Haha
@rgn12 I used the 3 day potty training method on both of my boys. They were both ready right around their 3rd birthday. A few accidents the first day, the second day was not so bad, and by the third they were telling us they needed to use the potty!

This weekend I went and visited my parents in VA. It was my mom's birthday and I surprised her by not telling her I was coming to visit with the boys and she was so excited. Then we went out to dinner for her birthday that night and I surprised her with a custom Etsy necklace that had the grandkids birthstones on it. Mind you, there were three stones and she only knew of two grandkids, so when it finally clicked that the third stone was a new grandkid she started crying and was so happy!

@2b1gmom that’s awesome, what a sweet birthday/Mother’s Day surprise for your mom! 🥰
@rgn12 it could be a sign of readiness, or it could just be one of those silly toddler things. I remember my daughter doing that a few times when she was around that age. If I were you I’d give her plenty of opportunities to use the potty but don’t push it. Then again I’m probably not the best person for this kind of advice since my daughter wasn’t fully day potty trained until she was 4 🙈
My random pregnancy thoughts- I spend so much time (unnecessarily as my husband thinks) planning on when I’ll tell people I’m pregnant, and I was the same way with our first two. It’s important for me to tell certain people in person, and then I also have a certain ‘order’ I want to tell people in. I get nervous someone will spill the beans to someone else before I can tell them (small town living!). It stresses me out and I know I’m a little ridiculous about it but I’m just can’t help it! It’s been on my mind a lot lately since in 2-3 weeks we’ll tell our friends, extended family, and work.
@midwestmomma2 ugh I'm sorry, that sounds so stressful! I get what you mean though. I've told a few people, my family, my in-laws, a coworker, my aunt and uncle, but probably going to wait until 12 weeks to post to social media. My one aunt who knows though is the one in the family that is such a gossiper, and she's so sweet but I also don't care if she goes and tells people. Most of the people she would tell are just my older extended family and they don't have social media.

@rgn12 yesssss to being ragey. We tried PT my first when he was 3 and he didn’t see ready. We tried 2-3 days later and did the 3 day method and he was fully out of diapers after 3 days even during nap and night time with very few accidents ever after. I think he was probably a unicorn and my second will be so much harder to PT😂🤦🏻♀️
@2b1gmom that sounds like a great visit! I bet she was so happy.
@midwestmomma2 it’s hard to figure out how and in what order to tell people. My sil is due with her first when I’ll be 13-14 weeks. I don’t want to “steal her thunder” so I’m not really sure when to tell my ILs and post on social media when I usually would.
Yesterday I used my Doppler and found baby for 3-4 seconds before he/she wiggled away. It was such a relief because I’ve been so anxious. I also called my Ob a few days ago and asked for another u/s for peace of mind. I was 7 weeks for my first and I’ll be 9 weeks at this one next week. My first loss was at 8 weeks and it was pretty traumatic so it’s nice to hear the heartbeat/have a good ultrasound after that.
