Just had my AS today. Was nervous that something would be wrong (of course) but everything looks normal. That was my only February appointment so should be a quiet month!
February 9 for my a/s and cervix check. Super nervous. This is the longest I’ve gone between appts and I never went this long without an ultrasound with my son.
2/11 for another ultrasound and OB visit. We’ll check cervical length and steroid shots at this appt. I will say I’m nervous about this appt. I really would love for my cervix to miraculously be longer and get to continue bedrest at home.. I also don’t want to be surprised if I get admitted so I’m trying to prepare for that as well.
Anatomy scan on Feb 9th at the MFM, with a telehealth follow-up with my OB on the 12th. I'm nervous for the 9th, no real reason to be aside from that I've never gotten this far and I'm constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. If all goes well (and, frankly, even if it doesn't) I'm planning to tell my boss after then and will probably let my mom start telling people after the 24-week appointment in March.
I had my OB appointment today and everything looks great 👍They took my BP and it was perfect. They also measured my belly for the fundal height. It was 18 cm even though I'm 21 weeks today. The OB said thats ok and is not worried as the fundal height can be + or - 2 to 3 cm and it be normal and also I had my recent ultrasound for the anatomy scan and baby was measuring on track. She also used the doppler so I got to hear this little guys HB again 🥰 it was around 140-142 bpm and was nice and strong.
AS is 2/9 followed by an OB appt. I’ll be really nervous but I’m feeling better the past couple of days. I can feel her moving around and she is definitely growing. I just need the rest of the week to go by quickly and I’ll make it to next Tuesday.

AS on 2/4 and then my 20 week appointment right afterwards. I got to see the little guy about 3 weeks ago, and they did an in-depth ultrasound at that intake, so I'm not expecting to hear anything new.
My AS is tomorrow, I can't wait! I haven't seen the little guy since I was 11+5 so it will have been exactly 8 weeks. But he's been moving and kicking like crazy so I am luckily not too anxious, just hopeful the heart and everything else look good. Since I did IVF, they have an MFM review the heart part of the scan too so not sure how quickly I'll get the all clear.

@sgrn18 - I’ll be 🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 For you!! I hope everything goes well and you get to continue bed rest at home. I can’t imagine your nerves. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with all this!
I have a 22 week appt tomorrow. Not really expecting a whole lot other than pee in a cup, weight and questions since last appt was my anatomy scan. I’m supposed to start getting scans at least once a month because I’m in my 40s and she likes to check fluid often due to that, and I thought I was supposed to start the month after the anatomy scan, but I don’t think they scheduled a scan for tomorrow. Bummer. Was looking forward to more scans as the one advantage to being an old AF pregnant mama. 🤣

@sgrn18 I really hope you can continue bed rest at home. I can see why you’re on edge.
I have my usual PCP apt next week.
I’m not sure if I’ve updated since my AS but they are worried about babes growth as he/she fell off the growth chart more then they wanted to see from my 10 week scan. So I am due back early March to make sure they didn’t drop in size any more. My first scan they moved DD. This scan they were measuring behind and 3% head and 13% body. We will see! But lots of movement so that’s nice.
I also have low blood pressure and I think it’s getting worse. Sometimes I get so dizzy I can’t stand up.
I still haven’t heard from my OB which I expected to have my first apt booked for a couple weeks from now so I’ll have to get my PCP to follow up with my referral.
@kristah2 that's great that there was lots of movement! Were your other children similar in size and growth? FX baby is growing appropriately at the next scan. I also have low blood pressure (before my as, which I was anxious about, it was 102/60). When I'm feeling particularly dizzy I try to have something salty and to drink more. I'm also very slow with my transitions from laying to sitting, sitting to standing, etc.
I just got the results of my AS yesterday via phone and doctor said baby girl looks great, but my placenta is low over my cervix, which isn’t uncommon, but they want to do another ultrasound in 6 weeks to see if it’s moved up. I told MH my placenta was blocking the exit, which is obviously a fire hazard... he didn’t find that as funny as I did!
Like a lot of people I had scheduled my doctors appointment about an hour after my AS was finished thinking my OB would go over the results with me then... NOPE! She said, in an oh so condescending fashion... “I could not possibly have the results from radiology that quickly, and we only call if there is something wrong” .... so naturally pregnancy hormones came on strong, I cried and left in a huff, called my husband and said we should have a home birth instead... then called him back a few hours later saying I maaay have overreacted slightly! But after 4 days of waiting, got only a little undesirable news, and that news means I get to see baby girl move around again in a few more weeks!
@_orchid_ my son was huge. They measured his growth closely after I lost a lot of weight but his head was like 90odd% and was about 9lbs.
My daughter was smaller but my first scan with her was AS so she was measuring small but they just said she’s small because you’re small and left it at that. I guess they’re concerned this time because of the curve drop which they likely wouldn’t have known if I didn’t have a dating scan.
Thanks for the info on blood pressure!
a@ashleyjillian15 I had a low lying placenta with #2 but it moved up pretty quickly! Hope yours does too!
@ashleyjillian15 I also had a low lying placenta with DS and it resolved itself. I don’t love that they made you wait for a phone call after AS. That’s just asking for anxiety.

I had my anatomy scan and 20 week appt on Monday. Baby wasn’t cooperating so they couldn’t see all of the heart chambers they needed to, so I’m having another scan in 4 weeks. My Dr. was so reassuring, saying sometimes babies just don’t cooperate! But now I have another four weeks until I can feel at ease ❤️
Had OB appointment today. All state tests (apparently it is TSH, blood type, vitamin D, iron, STDs, A1Cs, etc that all get included with some of the spinal diseases/abnormalities tests) came back normal! And we reviewed the AS results from the perinatal specialist. Baby boy is in the 90th percentile, weighing 1 lb and fontal measurement is about 1.5 weeks ahead.
Next OB is in 4 weeks with the glucose test, and then another AS scan with the specialist.
I had a quick appointment yesterday at 23 weeks. Dr measured me and we listened to the heartbeat. She is sounding good and I am growing well. OB let me book my next appointment 5 weeks out at 28 weeks for my glucose test. It was nice to hear her say it was okay since I am low risk pregnancy and baby is healthy. - didn’t realize what an impact hearing that from your dr could have. After that appointment I go to every two week appointments. Cant believe I am far enough along to be thinking about two week appointments.
Met with my MFM on Tuesday. He is pleased with my blood glucose levels even though I was freaking out about a few high fasts. He did say that if I end up on medication I would have to be induced and that makes me want to cry. So fx I can keep this under control
@ruemcclanahan, I’m not sure if you were super stressed this week but remember that factors in! The week I had exams with my son, my numbers were always higher than the weeks I didn’t.
Had my AS today and baby boy is measuring exactly on track. I've never had one of my babies be so close on the money. He was doing some serious gymnastics in there, but is already head down. I talked to my OB about my concerns about going 40w+ and how I've had issues with both my pregnancies that are "late term" complications. He said he would do a fluid check around 39 weeks to avoid the low/no amniotic fluid I had with DD2, and if I'm favorable, would try to get me in for an induction as close as possible after 40 weeks!
@kristah2 well I am going to go on record today guessing girl for you 😂 - coming from a 2x mother to 8.5+lb, 90%+ boys- so I feel you with your first!!
I had two appts today (ped cardiologist and regular ob) and was feeling really overwhelmed most of the day. I wish DH could come to appts with me to help me keep stuff straight. As it was, the ob I saw and I both forgot I needed bw to check my thyroid bc my dosage changed after my last appt (she's not someone I usually see, and we had a long discussion about the heart scan/lactation), so I had to turn around and drive back to my drs for bloodwork.
Ped cardiologist was good, baby was cooperative. Dr himself just gave me A LOT of info so it was a lot to process. He wasn't happy that my MFM has me on an every-other-week schedule right now for heart imaging, so I'll be going back to see him again next week, then the MFM, and then him again the last Friday in February... And then the MFM the first week in March. He said the peak time for heart risks is right now-24 weeks, but it doesn't really go away and he's seen babies of sjorgens moms develop heart issues at 38 weeks after being fine the rest of the time 😳 so he still wants me monitored until the end, although not as closely as right now.
My ob appt was 2 hours later so I had time to process a bit and then asked her some more follow-up questions, plus questions about improving lactation (more in the STM+ thread). I'll see them again in 4 weeks for a regular, easy appt.
@AKuzReve that's great! I never knew about this syndrome and now I feel like I'm hearing about it everywhere. The ped cardiologist and my ob definitely stressed that statistics are on my side as such few people end up with heart problems, but the cardiologist's exact words were "... and if the heart problems do occur, they're disastrous" 😳 cue my pgal brain freaking the eff out.
@_orchid_, I asked who I thought it was and she shared a very great response and offered to reach out if you’d like to chat more about it. Do you mind if I PM her response about it to you? You probably already have all the info but I found it very helpful.
