Facebook Migration!

The time has come to make our move to a private Facebook group to ease communication and protect privacy. In an attempt to increase security, there will be a few steps to join the Facebook group. My hope is that this makes everyone feel comfortable sharing whatever you're comfortable with, including baby pictures if you're into that.

Step one: if you are an active member of this group and would like to join the private Facebook group, please send a DM to myself or @whitealbum29 for an email address.
Step two: once you have the email address, please send a picture of yourself (a selfie is fine!) holding a sign that includes the current date and your Bump screen name... trust me when I say it doesn't matter what you look like in the picture... we just need proof that you're a person and not a bot or someone who doesn't belong. It won't be posted anywhere else and no one will see it except for the admins.
Step three: Once myself or @whitealbum29 get your photo (we both have access to the email account), we'll send you the info on how to find the Facebook group. We're both admins in the group so either of us can approve you.

Once we have everyone moved over we can further increase the security of the Facebook group by making it unsearchable. I know this seems like a lot of work but I would like a space where we all feel comfortable on the internet! 

I'm working on an intro post but the Facebook group will have similar 'rules' as on The Bump. The plan is to have a daily random thread, weekly updates through the rest of our pregnancies, picture posts, etc. Try to limit the number of separate posts just for organization sake. Please include trigger warnings for topics that may be sensitive to others. Birth stories FOR SURE deserve their own posts though. I can't wait to get to 'know' you all better!

FYI when you search for our group name it may seem like it doesn't exist at first, I expected it to come up first when I typed it in since I searched for the exact name...but for some reason I had to scroll all the way to the bottom of a very long list with other January groups and even other month due date groups.
