@mamatohayleygirl That is definitely something you should discuss with your RE, or OB. It's something that should be tested for if you qualify for RPL testing.  If not, and you've only had the one loss, especially if you have any living children at home, it could have just been a fluke or something with the last PG.  Or it could have been that the number had already dropped because you were losing the PG when the number was tested for.  I would definitely discuss your concerns with your doctor!

Seconding what @capnjackharkness said. It's definitely worth talking about with your doctor. My loss last month started off fine, my progesterone was in the 20s a week after my first BFP. 2 weeks later when I had an US it had dropped to 7. I meet with my OB next week and will ask her about supplementing with progesterone as soon as so get a BFP to see if it helps.

I know there is also some debate if low progesterone causes MC or if an impending MC causes the progesterone to drop.

With TTC, progesterone is only an issue if you have a short luteal phase. Progesterone drops at the onset of your period and sometimes that doesn't give an embryo enough time to reach the uterus and implant. Some women don't produce enough progesterone at all while others have progesterone that drops too early.

How that help and good luck!
