Upcoming appointments: Anatomy scan tomorrow, then 18 week appt Wednesday
How are you feeling?: Scanxiety is starting for my AS tomorow. It's made worse because MH can't be with me for the scan. I'm feeling the effects of having to do all of this by myself, and it's hard. MH is so supportive and wonderful, and he says he's perfectly fine not joining me if it means less exposure points for us and hospital wide, but it does take a toll on me.
Rants/Raves: The weekend was hard, I've gotten some sad news both at work and from friends, and I'm hurting for them and trying to support them.
In happier news, MH's aunt seems to have basically taken it upon herself to send around our registry to everyone, and gifts have started arriving which is wild. I currently have two car seats in my living room, and a jumper will be coming next.
Questions: Nope
GTKY: It's Halloween week! What are your plan for Halloween this year? If COVID wasn't a thing, would you be doing anything differently?
We normally give out candy at our house, and since we live in a very cute walkable neighborhood, my niece and nephew and a few friends usually start at our house and trick or treat around us. There's also an annual photo that gets taken of the kids and their aunts, and I get a little emotional thinking that next year my girls will get to be in that photo (my SiL is going to have her arms full!) This year we're not giving out candy publicly, but are a "safe" place for my niece and nephew and the neighbor kids to trick or treat.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Banana or swingline stapler - this sounds huge!
Upcoming appointments: A/S tomorrow! So excited!!
How are you feeling?: Almost normal, I think? But, already feeling enormous. How do I have half a pregnancy of growing still to do?
Rants/Raves: Rave: The meds seem to be helping my stomach issues. Yay. Rant: Work sucks. It's been so stressful and I feel like my stress tolerance level has plummeted during pregnancy/covid. Ugh. I took a half day for the A/S tomorrow and plan on having a lunch date with DH for the first time since January.
Questions: Anyone already getting braxton hicks? I never had them with my first pregnancy but I seem to be getting them once a day at least. I'm trying to drink more water bc I think it might be because I'm dehydrated but man, I already have to pee so often!
GTKY: It's Halloween week! What are your plan for Halloween this year? If COVID wasn't a thing, would you be doing anything differently? I know this was my own GTKY question but I'm super not into Halloween. DS will get dressed up for his daycare's Halloween party (he'll be Blippi) and we might go to our church's Halloween trunk or treat on Saturday. I bought candy, just in case, and will probably give it out with tongs or gloves or something.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: banana, beanie baby, venti Starbucks
Upcoming appointments: Thursday for AS!!
How are you feeling?: So excited but the anxiety is real. Feeling more consistent movement now thank goodness. Taking labetolol and Pepcid.
Rants/Raves: rant is how freaking hard it is to schedule my doc appointments with my work schedule.
Questions:
GTKY: It's Halloween week! What are your plan for Halloween this year? If COVID wasn't a thing, would you be doing anything differently?
probably not much different than the usual. Taking DS out for a little around our block. Not going crazy and prepared to return if it’s crowded.
Tags aren’t working- but yes i just started getting BH recently too!! It has been feeling like a heavy sinking feeling vs the skin tightening i remember but I think it’s bc my uterus isn’t so large yet. Guessing the sensation will change as it gets larger.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Banana/Stapler/ Dragon Egg from Game of Thrones
Upcoming appointments: Tomorrow is a follow-up anatomy scan to get clearer pictures of Little Miss's heart.
How are you feeling?: Pretty good today since I spent the day in an ergonomic chair lol. Not much movement today but I'm hoping I'll feel her pinging around in there soon.
Rants/Raves: Allergies...Covid numbers going up...probably going to miss out on an in-person baby shower.
Questions:
GTKY: It's Halloween week! What are your plan for Halloween this year? If COVID wasn't a thing, would you be doing anything differently? Wear a mask at my sister-in-law's for dinner. Her kiddo is remote schooled with my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law is isolated at work. I won't be the fool sitting outside handing out candy but that will likely fall on my husband and his sister who will be wearing masks and gloves. I will stay inside where there are fewer people and more heat.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: A mango
Upcoming appointments: had my anatomy scan today and have a routine OB next Monday.
How are you feeling?: way better now that I got to see the baby again.
Rants/Raves: Rave: I loved seeing the baby today. Rant: we still haven't got back DH's Cystic Fibrosis bloodwork, and since I'm a carrier it's stressing me out.
Questions:
GTKY: It's Halloween week! What are your plan for Halloween this year? If COVID wasn't a thing, would you be doing anything differently? We are just going to have a spooky movie marathon on the couch, DD is dressing as a Hogwarts (Ravenclaw) student. 🤓 last year we hosted a Halloween party and it was awesome. We love Halloween so if we could, we would definitely be having a party. Maybe next year 🙏 (below: me and DH last Halloween 👻)
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: artichoke
Upcoming appointments: Wednesday for a check-up and 11/5 for anatomy scan! Super anxious, but also excited
How are you feeling?: Really good! I'm also feeling huge and seriously can't believe my belly has another 5 mo to grow. It's hard to bend over and I'm making all kinds of moans and groans when getting up, picking stuff up, etc lol
Rants/Raves: I've really been trying to stay on top of housework (while working part time from home and taking care of DD all day) and it helps me stay in such a better mood. I know it's not always realistic to have a clean kitchen, swept floors and laundry done, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
Questions: Any STMs have different experience feeling baby move the second time around? I know it's totally normal to not feel consistent movement right now, but I would swear I felt my DD move quite a bit sooner....
GTKY: It's Halloween week! What are your plan for Halloween this year? If COVID wasn't a thing, would you be doing anything differently? Definitely bummed we can't take DD trick or treating as she's just barely old enough....but we're still dressing her up (fly fishing girl... dad's really into fishing). Excited to get cute pics!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a chipotle burrito
Upcoming appointments: had a phone visit today with OB, repeat AS on 11/12
How are you feeling?: like crap! I'm getting over a stomach bug that had me out for the past couple of days
Rants/Raves: rant as above lol. for rave, my husband ran a half marathon this weekend and I'm so proud of him! I'm glad I didn't get sick until after lol
Questions:
GTKY: It's Halloween week! What are your plan for Halloween this year? If COVID wasn't a thing, would you be doing anything differently? Our church is doing a socially distanced trunk or treat so we'll do that on Friday (weather permitting) and then may or may not go around our block on saturday. I got little cellophane baggies so I'm going to put candy in those and leave them outside for the trick or treaters. We didn't get many last year so I'm not anticipating many this year.

Upcoming appointments: Nov. 3rd for my anatomy scan!
How are you feeling?: Pretty good! Feeling baby girl kick much more lately, and they’re definitely getting stronger. Such a neat feeling 💕
Rants/Raves: Rants: instead of going into work later today like usual on Wednesdays, I had to come in 2 hours earlier. Eww. Rave: I get next Tuesday off for my appointment so I’ll have a 4 day work week which is glorious.
Questions:
GTKY: It's Halloween week! What are your plan for Halloween this year? If COVID wasn't a thing, would you be doing anything differently? I don’t celebrate Halloween, so I’ll probably just be home huddled under a blanket watching a movie. lol my husband on the other hand will be dressed as Batman and hanging out with his family. We’re in a little bit of a tough spot as to how we’re going to or not going to do Halloween for our little one. I’d prefer to skip it all together, but he likes dressing up and being with family. Not really looking forward to figuring that out. We’ve tried to talk through it before and haven’t really come to any conclusions.
@juliebeannn thank you so much for checking in!! He has recovered fully with zero complications, thank goodness. My husband and I have remained negative which is great. Just one more week of isolation and we can put this behind us!!
@juliebeannn it was pushed to next week, so it’s kind of on the later end of getting it done (I’ll be 22+2) so hopefully that doesn’t cause any problems!!

No plans this year other than working. I've never really been that into Halloween anyway, so if COVID wasn't around I'd probably still be working.
