Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: we'll probably find out around 15 weeks
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: an eastern tailed blue butterfly
Upcoming appointments: Still waiting for my appointment with MFM, maybe I should call my OB to get an update on this. My next OB appointment is 11/10
How are you feeling?: pretty good. Yesterday I make a seafood gumbo and the smell didn't make me sick. So I;m happy with that.
Rants/Raves: My mom called to rant about circumcision. Thankfully my sister was able to talk some sense into her. Work is pressuring me to get the flu shot, but my OB say to wait until 12 weeks. We'll see how that goes.
Questions:
GTKY: What was your favorite vacation that you've taken before in your life? What made it your favorite? First time going to Disney world. It was DH and I's first big vacation. We went all out for us. It was on a whim. Like we texted each other back and forth naming places to go and left that night. I was switching jobs and took a week off between to go on vacation because my job wouldn't cover me for a week to have a vacation. It was overdue and much needed and indeed magical.

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team Green hoping to stay strong
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: 1/2 q lego brick
Upcoming appointments: Today at 3 is my first video appointment.
How are you feeling?: Good pysically, not great mentally. I have no symptoms (and have had none this whole time) and having a hard time believing this is real. Hoping during appointment today I can get them to order a dating ultrasound for this week so I can have visual confirmation. I want this so bad but pregnancy is a real mind f**k.
Rants/Raves: Rant- the app for my virtual appointment has me listed with 3 appointments today at 2 different times with 2 different doctors and no way to make contact to clarify.
Questions: Does anyone else just not feel pregnant? And if so how do you cope?
GTKY: What was your favorite vacation that you've taken before in your life? What made it your favorite? Favorite vacation was my first trip to Europe (and all repeat visits). I hove the history of Europe and the old world towns.
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out (genetic testing week 11)
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: raspberry
Upcoming appointments: Tomorrow! Finally!!
How are you feeling?: so so awful. Still on the Zofran/unisom/b6 trifecta and while it helps I’m still throwing up multiple times a day. I wish I knew how much longer I had. With my son I was sick through 18 weeks. But it was less severe.
Rants/Raves: My MIL flew in yesterday to help. I’m so nauseous in the afternoons I have trouble taking care of our toddler and haven’t been able to get much work done. I’m thankful she is here so I can both rest and work more.
Questions: None
GTKY: What was your favorite vacation that you've taken before in your life? What made it your favorite? I used to work for an adventure travel company and H and I went on an Alaska trip right before we got married. It was amazing - so much hiking and kayaking. We even went snorkeling! And I did the polar plunge in Glacier Bay National Park in front of a glacier. Then immediately got in the hot tub with a hot toddy while an eagle flew overhead and there was a rainbow in the background. It was like a scene from a movie. Plus it was free - my favorite price.
@Liz101015 I’m not in the same boat with symptoms but I feel for you! It’s so hard in the early stages not knowing what is going on in there! I hope you can get an u/s soon to check on things. ❤️
@mkc3888 thanks for reminding me to put flu shot on my list of questions for my OB tomorrow!
@mkc3888 good that the smell didnt bother you! currently seafood smells are not my friends! @Liz101015 its a total mindf*** so there's no comfort i can give, but you do have one symptom--no period! try to hold onto that for now! @alexandraseattle when i went for my visit at 7w5d, OB gave me flu shot right then, so maybe every doc is different. hoping you get some relief from the sickness soon

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: finding out!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a green olive
Upcoming appointments: next friday 10/29
How are you feeling?: so tired!!! can barely keep my eyes open today. also had my first major bouts of nausea all weekend (ironically all at night). and all the smells are bothering me.
Rants/Raves: DH has a cough (and has for about a week). no fever though, but finally agreed to go to the doctor tomorrow. starting to get a tickle in my throat too. trying not to expect the worst, but will see how his appointment goes tomorrow.
Questions: anyone else have a "team" of OBs? i have two that work in my regular office that i see on and off, and i am actually starting to prefer one much more than the other. wondering if it will be awkward if i purposely request her for my appointments (and if/when it comes to it, scheduling delivery)
GTKY: What was your favorite vacation that you've taken before in your life? What made it your favorite? i would say honeymoon to Maui and then our trip back four years later. just a magical place. HOWEVER, our trip to florida back during my TWW leading up to this BFP was great for different reasons because i felt so relaxed and at ease that i wasn't even thinking about how stressed we've been TTC. that made this trip so special too!
@asf0613 I don't have a team of OB's but a friend of mine went to a bigger practice with 5-6 OB's and they rotated her, so that she could get to know everyone, since she could be delivered by whoever was on call. She did see her primary dr more than the others though.

@asf0613 I’m going to a group practice. You go in knowing any one of them could deliver you, and they’ll start rotating me around in second tri (I’ve seen one OB up until now). So I don’t have an option to choose a specific doc, but have many friends who’ve worked with this practice so I feel comfortable with that.
@asf0613 My practice has several OBs but I have one that I go see for all of my appointments. Some people there just schedule theirs with whoever is available but I like seeing the same one and then delivery is done by whoever is on call when you're in labor. Although this time I'm going to have to see a different doctor for a few months in the middle/near the end of my pregnancy because my OB is pregnant with twins!
yes ive actually met all at this point, which is good, but when they made my next few appts, they scheduled with just one, so im thinking i may casually ask for some coming up to be with the other when i make next slew of appointments! of course when going into labor i guess it will be whoever is on call, so good to have rapport with all
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Probably finding out
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Cherry? I think that's what one of my apps said
Upcoming appointments: Tomorrow!! FINALLY!!
How are you feeling?: Better than a couple of weeks ago, but still not great. I dry heaved this afternoon and have had little desire to do anything - including shower.
Rants/Raves: I'm struggling mentally. I'm used to doing SO MUCH and haven't been able to do anything the past few weeks. Work is piling up, the house is barely functioning, and I'm not getting my quiet times in like I usually do. I definitely feel off balance. DH has been amazing in picking up the slack, but there's only so much one person can do! I feel so bad for him but am so grateful for him at the same time.
Questions: I'm curious to know what your experiences are with the larger practices. I believe I'll get to meet all the midwives & OB at my new practice, which I think is cool. At least knowing it early on and having time to develop rapport with the providers.
GTKY: What was your favorite vacation that you've taken before in your life? What made it your favorite? I'd have to say it was our trip to San Francisco before having kids. We went with my family for a week, but it was the most laid-back, chill, and FUN trip ever. Part of my family travels well, meaning they aren't picky and grumpy everywhere they go, so when plans have to change, it usually ends up being an adventure. We even managed to schedule time for us to break apart and do our own things so that made it really fun.
@Magheeta what do you mean by "practice", a hospital?

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: anatomy ultrasound
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Eastern tailed Blue butterfly
Upcoming appointments: Maybe next week
How are you feeling?: A little worse than normal, but I still wouldn't call it nausea, or maybe it is.
Rants/Raves: So, i was going to wait until November to get my blood test and go to the clinic for my first prenatal. But then I was consulting with my husband and realized that the first week of November is not a good week, and my husband is off all week, hooray. So I think I might draw blood tomorrow and maybe the first visit next week. I'm kind of nervouse because I really don't know how it will go. Last pregnancy I had insurance and went to a private doctor. But I want save money and go public this time. But I'm still a little confused at how the oublic health centers work. I guess I have to go bother my neighbours this week. My neighbours are so nice. 😀
Questions:
GTKY: What was your favorite vacation that you've taken before in your life? What made it your favorite? We went to Taiwan as a part of our honeymoon last year. I got to see all my husbands family and he took me to some great natural parks. We didn't travel all over the country but we did go to a couple places a couple hours from Taipei. I would love to go again.
Hey all just wanted to update after my appointment Monday I was able to have the doctor, who came 40 minutes late to a video appointment, order a dating and viability ultrasound for this Friday at 2pm so now we just wait and see and hold faith.
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team finding out, most likely at the NIPT
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: The various apps I have seem to vary wildly in what they think is a comparable size so I'm gonna go with... the size of a raspberry.
Upcoming appointments: 2nd ultrasound on Monday, follow up with RE on Wednesday
How are you feeling?: Pretty good! Really can't complain. My cold is slowly going away so I feel somewhat normal again. Feeling a little "heavy" in my lower abdomen area, which actually making me a little bit excited for an impending bump. I already find myself absent-mindedly rubbing my blump.
Rants/Raves: Rave: I feel like I've had a lot of really good hair days lately, which is unusual because I never wash it since I never leave the house
Questions: Has anyone ever seen/used an osteopath during pregnancy before?
GTKY: What was your favorite vacation that you've taken before in your life? What made it your favorite? Ooh this is a tough one. Before I met my husband I would have said the trip I took backpacking through London/the south of France by myself en route to a friend's wedding in Lyon, because I was free to do whatever I wanted and it was so liberating. BUT every trip I've been on with MH since then, even the local or short trips when we've stayed domestic, have topped it just because I get to share it with him. Our Hawaiian honeymoon is the happiest and most relaxed I've ever been, even though I've been to Hawaii dozens of times before. Having someone to share it with was beyond special.

@littlelibelula - I’m talking about an OBGYN group of multiple doctors. Mine is comprised of doctors and midwives and if you choose a midwife, they want you to meet all of them since you may end up with someone different at the time of birth. I did find out today that I can choose to rotate or pick one if I connect with her. So, that brings me a lot of comfort.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: size of a grape

How are you feeling?: feeling really good!
Rants/Raves: ugh..bought halloween candy today and definitely bought it too early cuz i had like 10 twizzlers and feel so yuk right now!
