Re: ttgp grad check in wk of 10/8

  • How far along are you? 7w today!

Upcoming Appointments? Another beta tomorrow, and hopefully first ultrasound Tuesday 10/13

Cravings/Symptoms? No cravings still, which I thought for sure would start early for me. That and the disappearance of most of my symptoms (along with my bleeding) is making my brain go to bad places.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms?  Umm, I've been better. In speaking with other grads who have had a lot of 1st trimester bleeding, I'm fairly certain that I have a subchorionic hematoma (SCH) that's causing my bleeds. I'm on self-prescribed bed rest, which is both nice and annoying. But it seems to be working because I only gush blood in the evenings when I've had to be on my feet for various reasons (I had to go get a covid test done yesterday). Rant: I'm angry and upset that covid restrictions are making our life so difficult right now to access what should otherwise be easily attainable care. Rave: my hubby is able to WFH with me and is so attentive. If anything good comes of this, it's that we've gotten to spend so much more time together.

Questions? I think there's only two of us in here from TTGP so I'll ask it in the questions or ultrasound thread instead...

  • I’ve thought about checking in here but wasn’t sure how appropriate it was since I was only active for a little over a month on the TTGP board (had been trying for about 7 months before that but hadn’t rejoined the board yet).
  • @kiki047 hopefully you get some guidance on the SCH soon! its so tough how hard it is to get simple answers for things due to COVID protocols.  but enjoy the time with YH!
    @gusgus14 i say welcome :)

How far along are you? 7w5d

Upcoming Appointments? Ajust came from my appointment!  next up october 29

Cravings/Symptoms? craving all the carbs, which is normal for me.  slight nausea, very tired!

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms?  feeling much better today after seeing the heartbeat again! 147!  breathing a little easier now

  • @asf0613 don't mind if I do then!

How far along are you? 9w6d

Upcoming Appointments? None in the next week. Next up will be with my OB on 10/19 and then my first MFM appointment on the 27th.

Cravings/Symptoms? Not a lot of cravings but aversions to pretty much everything. I can't think about food until the moment I need to decide what to eat for that meal. I feel like a lot of my symptoms have started to fade (boobs aren't nearly as sore, sleeping better, etc) but the nausea is still bad and the zofran has barely touched it the last two days. In fact, I think I'm going to be taking the rest of the afternoon off work to go home and lie down.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm good! Ready to not constantly feel like I'm going to vomit but overall not terrible. Just rebooked my girls' trip for next month so I'm excited about that! We were supposed to go to Orlando over the summer which obviously didn't happen so the three of us booked a cabin in the mountains away from people. None of us leave our houses much so we're not super worried about getting together.

    Questions? None at the moment.
  • @gusgus14 literally the same here about what to eat right before eating!  i felt so bad DH offered to cook this whole week (HUGE!) and he picked out things that i couldnt stomach when i sat down to eat, ugh  sorry the Zofran isnt working.  your trip sounds fun!! do your friends know you are KU yet?
  • Thanks @texas_t

@gusgus14 Oh man, that makes me so much more thankful that I have no MS yet. Hopefully that goes away soon too, especially so that you'll be able to fully enjoy your trip next month. A cabin in the woods sounds perfect.
@asf0613 I feel Iike I've been holding my breath all week waiting for your US. 147 is amazing, yay!! I'm so relieved for you!

  • thanks @kiki047! hope you get your relief soon too!
  • @asf0613 they do! I texted them literally minutes after my positive test  :D They knew we had been trying and that I was supposed to pick up my fertility meds the day I found out.

@kiki047 I’m hoping it’ll be gone by then or at least not so bad! We’re not planning on doing much but I also don’t want to be horizontal on the sofa all weekend.
